I've had my personalized plate for 48 years. Been on 9 cars. I had it stripped and repainted before putting it on my refresh X. Still love the plate. Noting cleaver, just a shortened version of my last name, which all my friends call me anyway.
In 2019 they dropped the price of the Model S drastically. That's when we bought and rec'd lifetime supercharging also. However, in this day & age I doubt that will happen again. Prices will stabilize as more competition enters the market. Not every buyer wants minimalist interior. I don't love...
You might see if a local body shop can paint it so it's not noticeable, but I agree with Kimmi, let it go until something serious happens. Body shops work wonders on nicks and scratches.
The problem I have is my wife is much smaller than i am. When it recognizes hers first, I can't get in in time to stop the seat moving. She has to get in the passenger seat and press the driver profile for me.
I'm having the same struggle on the $6,000. Seems high for auto lane change. If we do a long road trip I figure I'll rent FSD for a month or two. Other than that, day to day driving i don't need Nav on autopilot or auto lane change.
I just saw this morning that EAP upgrade is $6,000.00, half of what FSD is. That's more than I had hoped for automatic lane change, which is probably the only feature I would use.
Tesla has to have a retrofit deal on the screen. The original web site blurb talked about tilting screen, and if we have the engineered parts, just need motors and software it should only be a couple hundred bucks upgrade. I'll pay that in a heartbeat.
The PPA we had with my wife's board & care was still a big saver over Edison, but no upfront costs. Sure could have saved more on a loan, but the PPA they warrantee everything. Monthly payment and catch-up bill was still much less than the prior year Edison bill. Back then you couldn't do 100%...
I purchased solar from Sun Run in 2015. I wish my system were a little larger now that I have two EV's. As it is with air conditioning running in So. Cal. in July to Sept, I have a catch-up bill of about $1,500.00 annually. The good thing is the solar keeps in the lower cost tiers as well as...
I can't tell if the noises I am hearing is the stock market crashing or the resale value plummeting of my MXLR non-swivel screen/non-matrix lights.
But; I have the new charge port........ Guess I will just have to enjoy the car as it is 😍.
Thanks, I'll have to try it. I see there's a "free" version. Probably drown me in e-mails if I "join". I'm not wanting to spend another $15. a month (or what-ever it is) on a subscription right now. A least I'm free of my Serius XM on my Buick, now that I have my X.
Hope you get yours soon. 7...
I don't think my air bag recall will be fixed by software. I am not knocking Tesla, obviously I have two of them. I merely said that waiting for matrix headlights may not be worth waiting for at the moment. Honestly, I don't know what tidal is, other than the ebb & flow of water on a global...
I don't agree in general. The main systems are proven. However, new systems aren't: such as noise cancelation, infotainment (I guess rear screen and front screen don't have separate sound systems?) Those two things don't bother me, as half the time I have the radio off (so I can see better. Ha...
I agree with you. I've driven over 50 years without matrix lights, so another few years without them is no big deal. I have my 2002 MXLR and am happy as a clam. I see matrix lights as something else to go wrong with the lights or the computer program.
Happy Motoring....
We've had our MS for 2 1/2 years and I have never used mine. Now I have another for the MX. I have thought about buying the dryer outlet adapter for visits to our daughter's house (that would also involve an extension cord). Getting 3mph range on the mobile connector doesn't seem worth taking it...
Do other EV manufacturers provide a charger when you buy their cars?
My nephew was charged a "market adjustment" on his Mach-E, even though he preordered it and was told there wouldn't be one. He did "negociate" it down significantly. I didn't ask about receiving a charger with his as this...
I rec'd the 1,000 referral miles from our Nov 2020 order. It showed up in loot box a couple days after delivery. I had presumed since they stopped the referral program it wouldn't happen, but it is a nice surprise. Miles good for 6 months then they expire.
"I asked a few other folks what they did and some of them carry their own squeegee with them. Understandable, but seems like this should be offered by Tesla."
That sounds like a good idea, but we all know the homeless and thieves would steal them and just drive up costs. Just add squeegee and...
If you plan to move in a year, I like Option 3. As an observation: with mandates of EV sales in the next few years, maybe approach the management company about assisting in EV charging infrastructure in your community, or ideas as to solutions. Looks like something that will have to be...
Based on the car backed in the picture I presumed they backed in anyway. I do as it's safer than backing out of a driveway into a street. Using a hose to test distance is a good idea.
I think location #2. More out of view to passer-by and not an eyesore of the cable hanging down on the front of the house. I would think a future downspout could be put between the charger and the door (doesn't have to be right at the corner of the roof), with a few bricks/concrete paver to keep...
You are right, but my wife & I look forward to having a Blizzard while we charge. Those are getting expensive, but hey...it's the middle of the desert.
My policy is if you use the restroom of a business, you have to buy something. :)
Picked up my Model X LR March 26. Drove it last week to & from work (200 miles all week) no issues. Charged at home. Our MS Raven charges at 44mph on our Gen 2 wall charger. The MX charges at 33-36mph on the same charger. Seems odd.
Saturday morning we drove from So Cal to las Vegas. Charged...
As I posted earlier, my order, which I picked up last Saturday was a 5seat, LR, no FSD, at pre-refresh price. The idea of pricier being delivered first is out the window on this deal. May at first when they built only 6 seats, but not now. I think they were clearing inventory of 6 seat motors...
I picked mine up on Saturday and didn't have any issues. Built 3/2022. I find it odd that the same factory can turn out such extremes of good and bad quality. I wonder if the "field cars" weren't built too early/quickly and are now hitting the market.
I have rec'd a lot of compliments in the two days i've had it. The cream does look good with the MSM. I was a little concerned about the color combination.
I saw that too on both back seats. Haven't pulled it off yet. Got the car Sat. Worked all day yesterday & today at work. Will deal with it later. Please let us know if something falls off when it's removed.
