Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

Need more testing but possibly false hope with 2021.4.6! The car slept for almost 3 days and yesterday, after waking-up, it started the on-off cycle again without any good reason. VERY ANNOYING!!!

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

My problem appears to be resolved after installing build 2021.4.6. I was able to leave my car plugged in and sleeping now for over 30 hours. I am not sure if the problem was resolved in a previous build as I did not run more testing until now.

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

Unfortunately nothing changed with this version and this is getting very annoying during our winter season. I just cannot imagine letting my car start and stop every 15 minutes.

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

I just ran some testing with my latest 2020.44.15 and it is still waking periodically with plugged in. As soon as I unplug, the car will go to sleep almost immediately and will sleep like a baby for days. With winter now at our door, this behavior is getting very annoying as I have to remember...

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

I also confirm that 2020.40.3 has the same behavior but my car has a much shorter cycle 10 mins sleep/12 mins idle. The interesting different is my car immediately go to sleep when unplugged and sleep like a baby for days. As I previously mentioned, I cannot believe such a cycle can be good for...

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

For me, normal behavior is predictable. In this case, it is obviously not predictable and I wish Tesla would use the term “know issue” as stated by dailo. It is interesting that you have a very different cycle time. Your situation is worse than mine as I have the option of unplugging my car. We...

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

I just had a service appointment about this issue and they told me this MCU2 behavior is normal. I am sorry but if having the car flip-flopping between sleep and idle 65 times a day is normal, I am ready to bet that most of us will start having electronic problems in a very short period. Just...

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

I tried multiple times and have a very consistent behavior. Other than the plugin state, both are exactly the same environment. I am also placing my key in an RFID pouch when not used.

Since my MC2/HW3 upgrade, the car will not sleep when plugged in

The car will sleep for days when unplugged but as soon as it is plugged in, it will cycle between Park for 12 minutes and Sleep for 10 minutes. This is currently acceptable but very annoying as you have to unplug the car after each charge. This will especially be a problem for pre-charging the...

Very aggressive stopping when detecting stop signs and red lights

Is it just me but I am finding the car is very aggressive with stopping at stop signs and red lights. The car will detect the sign at 200m (600’) but will keep going until the very last minute where it will almost jam the brakes. I am the driver type that prefer using a following distance of 6...

    2017 model X HW3 and MCU2 upgrade

I also had it done yesterday. Dropped off the X at 10am and I received a message the car was ready for pickup by 2:30pm. In addition to the MC2/HW3 upgrade, they performed the UV screen treatment, changes the air filter and reroute the main front body harness. All was done and I got the car back...

    Question on Camp Mode

I am testing this mode before our vacation and would like to confirm if the Instrument Panel is also always on. I know the center screen is always showing this annoying camp fire, but I was unable to turn off the Instrument Panel. Both screens are generating a lot of light.

Can you lock model X with keys inside?

Not very convenient to access the screen when you are sleeping in the trunk. This is the reason and for extra protection that I am locking the doors from the app and using the Faraday bag.
  14. BlueBird

Can you lock model X with keys inside?

This will also be the case when you want to sleep in the car. You will have the keys inside the car and will want to have your doors locked. I find that the Faraday bags are very efficient, but will experiment with this dead zone. Possibly using both to ensure full security.

did teslafi support only usa ? or all world ?

I live in Canada and a Teslafi user for the last two years. Since this is a web app running on any browser (ie on any devices), I don’t see why you would not be able to use it. Also, they show a list of software releases with users that are from all around the globe. I use this app all the time...

    2019.36.1: Stopping Mode

They can certainly do it as they already have the technology implemented where the car will completely stop when on autopilot. The question is more if they care enough or if they consider a two year old car already obsolete.

Question with Model X Towing Capacity

Thank you for your reference for the “water tank baffles”. I will add the 4” slotted pipe to minimize the sloshing and weight shifting. This is used twice a year to fill a spa. I am typically going with a full tank and driving in the city at low speed. I still want to minimize the risks of...

Question with Model X Towing Capacity

OK, when Tesla makes reference to “support vertical loads of up to 120 lbs” they are making reference to a rack mounted on the hitch. When using a trailer, the Maximum Tongue Weight of 500 lbs would then apply. That should not be a problem as I will make sure to place the container a little...

Question with Model X Towing Capacity

I need to carry a trailer with a 260-gallon water container. I am calculating the pulling weight to be about 3,500 lbs (trailer, container and water). I am installing the container over the trailer tires slightly forward to maintain the weight on the front. My question is with the vertical load...

Getting five high pitch beeps (like tuts sound) coming from the center screen when on NOAP

I was on the 401 highway with clear sky, the NoA continued to work normally and nothing different with the driving. The five beeps are exactly the same tone. If nobody have any idea, I will try to record it next time. I am on version 2019.24.4.

Getting five high pitch beeps (like tuts sound) coming from the center screen when on NOAP

We just returned from a 1,500 km trip and while on NOAP we had multiple occurrences of this five-beep warning with no visual messages. Sometime, this sequence of 5 beeps would repeat 2 or 3 times in a row. No change in the NOAP driving, no lane changes, no visual clues but just those annoying...

Same for me! I hate opening the door during winter as the handles are always covered with salt.

    FSD Upgrade

I do not care about Forbes but it is the sentence that is well describing the way I currently feel about Tesla and this is making me very angry that I placed my trust in a company that appears to be deceitful.

    FSD Upgrade

I read an article in Forbes and found a sentence to be very significant “the more invested you are in your Tesla, the less you get”. Tesla should not underestimate the impact of loosing customer loyalty. Unless Tesla rectify the situation, I will do all what I can to discourage people from...

    Biodefense Order Tracker - For Non-PUP Old-Timers

I ordered mine last week not because I was dying for this option but I wanted to show my appreciate to Tesla for the effort of offering those PUP options at a fair price. I hope this will send a clear and positive message to our SC and Tesla's management to offer other PUP options.

Finally!!!! Tesla installing BioWeapon Defense Mode for non PUP owners

I understand your frustration but it already happened after Tesla decided to include PUP at 2/3 of the price. From this point of view, we feel the same level of frustration. Also, I doubt very much they will be offering a complete aftermarket PUP and if they do, it will probably be at a higher...

Finally!!!! Tesla installing BioWeapon Defense Mode for non PUP owners

I am just not sure on the level of work involved in supporting the heated steering, wipers and back seat heaters. If the wiring is already available, this would probably be feasible but we do need to realize that rewiring an existing car can be challenging and probably more than what the service...

Finally!!!! Tesla installing BioWeapon Defense Mode for non PUP owners

Access to some of the diagnostic screens

Open Driver Door with Fob - Non-PUP

I did not know those options could not be separated. Tesla should definitely be considering the fob and auto-opening as two distinct options as they are completely unrelated. As for “serious first world issue”, I agree with you but the fob would be VERY convenient to us living in the great north...

Open Driver Door with Fob - Non-PUP

    Premium Upgrades Package for Old-timers!

Interesting, I was just looking at this topic slipping to page 6 and was wondering if we were the only X customers interested in the subject. I would be ready to try anything to bring this subject to Elon’s attention. I just believe it is blocked by some upper manager that appears to only be...

    Premium Upgrades Package for Old-timers!

I believe it may be a fairly small number of cars that got affected by the PUP decision. Tesla was previously selling options separately and in mid 2017, decided to bundle all options into PUP with a very high price tag (~8,000 CDN$ or ~4,600 pounds). At the time, even Tesla sales specialists...

    Premium Upgrades Package for Old-timers!

WOW!!! I did not realize Tesla had this type of extreme measure. This is another very strong reason to request that they offer upgrade options to existing cars.

    Premium Upgrades Package for Old-timers!

We are not asking for charity and are ready to pay a fair price. For many of us, the PUP option was way overpriced. Tesla must have come to the same conclusion after readjusting the price to something more realistic. I understand the frustration of those how purchased during this period but this...

    Premium Upgrades Package for Old-timers!

This thread is about offering upgrade options to existing cars. I also understand that all PUP upgrades may not be possible or cost effective. In a previous thread, most responses asked for “Self Presenting Doors” and “Premium audio” that should both be very doable.

    Premium Upgrades Package for Old-timers!

Sending a twitter could be a good idea as I know Elon is very thankful for all of us that showed our confidence while Tesla was going through hard time. I unfortunately do not have a twitter account.

    Premium Upgrades Package for Old-timers!

This was not a very large survey but we still had half of the replies in favor of upgrade options. What shall be the next steps to send a clear message to Tesla's executives that offering fair priced upgrade options would show that they care about existing X/S owners and bring additional revenues.

Non-PUP X Owners: Would You Upgrade to Self-Presenting Doors?

One way could be to start a poll to know how many would like what upgrade. This would give us and Tesla a good idea of the importance of offering upgrades. This is the one of the strengths of a forum like TMC. Then we can post this result on Elon’s twitter.

    Teslafi and apparent insomnia
