    Fixed Trunk Rattle

I’m trying to trace a trunk (metallic) rattle too. I recall 2 speaker grills back in the trunk hatch. Are they both subs?

Model Y SR 1 year free trial of premium subscription taken away

I was confirmed this multiple times by my Sales Rep. The order page showed this when I ordered. This is not a good way to conduct business. I am with you on not letting this go, what are our options after Sales Rep is going back on their word?

SR Premium Interior - 1yr Connectivity dropped?

First post. Apologies for mistakes. I recall when the SR went live (I ordered it right away) the website indicated Premium Interior includes 1 year free premium connectivity. (I could be wrong). My sales rep confirmed 1 year is included a couple times. Now that I have the car it’s saying the...

Model Y SR gone from options and LR dropped 1K?

Yup I did this for a friend a day after SR cancellation. They had multiple units available that matched my request. Some were still on the way from the factory (so they were not delivery rejects). As stock dwindles down, you will have fewer options. Maybe they are still going to make a few in...

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

Tesla Exec: “That’s a great idea! Let’s do this. Update the website, right now!”

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

The battery chemistry from Made in China MY is different from North America, right? Does anyone know the impact of this difference. Are they better or worse in the cold? Acceleration? Charging?

Model Y for business use in Canada - tax credits

I have a good accountant who helped me out with this. He’s been great for my corporate taxes. If you want his contact info - PM me.

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

$70k MY is the minimum again. Let’s hope that the MY SR holds its value well long term. And we continue to be included in future “increased speed/range” software updates.

    Winter Tires?

I don’t disagree with your sentiment. But many things you’ve stated are not accurate. 1) these Fast Replika R241 rims claim to be forged and the weight would indicate this is true. 2) $2400+400 = $2800. Not $3800 like you said. Still, this is so close to Tesla’s 19” winter package price. Tesla...

Model Y SR gone from options and LR dropped 1K?

Wow, this is moving way too fast. It’s starting to look like someone isn’t thinking their decisions through properly before executing. I was talking to someone who was getting ready to buy the SR Y. They are going to be heart broken. Also, my SR’s range has been more than acceptable in this...

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

Yep, as long as you don’t have a trade-in appraisal that will expire before you pick up.

    Kingston, ON: PPF Install Recommendation

Just curious why no one is willing to share how much they paid for PPF or Ceramic? Is it not okay to share? I really want to get an idea what the price should be.
  13. P

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

It's possible, but lately everyone I have talked to at Tesla insisted that rebate was NOT coming. Obviously they have bias to move cars off the lot, but I trusted them on this.

    Winter Tires?

This made things easy for me, thank you! Any tips on getting the TPMS? Is it $400 from Tesla for the 4 Bluetooth sensors?

Air Suspension Appears on EPC in China

JUST picked up a Y SR. Any good source of details on this air suspension? Cost? As an option or standard? Impact on range? Acceleration? Handling? Reliability and maintenance? Some of these are speculation but some must have an objective answer for air suspension in general, right?

Also curious what app you guys are using to track basic metrics like battery degradation and efficiency. Are most people actually paying the $70 for Stats app? Seems steep.

MY with new console spotted today

Yeah they’re probably sick of getting calls and deferred deliveries due to “old console”
  20. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

Thanks! 2021.4.3 Can’t figure out what the increased battery display is? The website still showing it’s rated for 393km and the car showed exactly 393km at 100% prior to delivery - while running the old software. Did Elon increase range estimate so it hits the infamous 250mile range threshold...

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

Picked up MY SR in Toronto today. Trusted sales team that there was no rebate coming. Car is gorgeous in real life - inside and out. Heated steering Old console (don’t mind the old one) Old headlights (old ones are great, and less moving parts to break) 30 days connectivity instead of the 1...

Can you save me the headache of calculating the expected price of the MY LR and tell me what you found it to be?
  23. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

Well folks. I guess the saga is over. No good news to this point.
  24. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

Agreed. Also, my insurance came down as well. But how do you save $4k on insurance??
  25. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

I don’t think that would solve the problem in the government’s eyes. Tesla doesn’t need to actually have sales for the SR-. It just needs to be “available”. In my opinion it was a poorly written program. Depending on the real objective of the rebate, these are silly constraints, similar to...

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

I got the Sale Agreement today indicating $0 iZEV credit. But still (naively) clinging onto a thread of hope based on this being achieved in the past.. What would make the Model Y SR different from the Model 3 SR?
  27. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

This headline is based on the fact that this one location has gone ahead with deliveries (ahead of all the other Canadian locations which seem to be coordinated with each other). The beacon of hope left is that Vancouver didn’t care to wait for the final verdict. This seems likely as Vancouver...
  28. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

Hey, that’s me too. PM’ing you. Not sure why Vancouver would deliver early though. They’ve gone rogue lol.

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

If a Porsche driver loved to drive it - then it’s good enough for me. I do find that the seats in the 3/Y are a little small for larger people. It could benefit from some extendable thigh supports. But the seats overall are great.
  30. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

That sounds optimistic then. I really hope this happens. Too much coincidence, the pricing of the SR doesn’t fit into their usual model so they fully intended to qualify based on the 54,900 price tag. Also, how did you test drive a MY SR if it’s not registered? I really wanted to drive one...
  31. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

Do you have any context for what “you would be happy about”? Were you discussing the rebate prior to that remark? Or is it in reference to heated steering / something else?
  32. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

That Federal $5K PLUS the Provincial $8K makes this deal way too juicy, I can't imagine buying an ICE car in Quebec with those kind of numbers. Fingers crossed that the Transport Canada approval makes it qualify for iZEV soon.
  33. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

I got the same message. Ordered Jan 10th. Anyone else considering delaying delivery until this rebate is figured out? MSRP is suspiciously intentional at $54,900
  34. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

There’s a good chance that on April 15th, some people at Tesla knew that the rebate was in the pipeline. So frustrating that they would let you take delivery without at least giving you a heads up.
  35. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

Do you remember how long they were selling it without the rebate before they qualified?
  36. P

Canada $5000 federal incentive for Model Y?

Was told it went from “looking likely” to “no longer optimistic”. So I agreed to delivery of SR 5 seater. If the rebate happens (via loophole car) then I’m going to be upset. Can I return the car and repurchase it?

New Headlights On Model Y Build Your Own?

Does anyone know if the new headlights look different - aesthetically? Some metallic surfaces look like they're black instead of chrome when you look at the renderings.
  39. P

    Former Model 3 Owners

There is another thread where SR MY owners are saying the SR feels exactly as fast as the LR. And since the SR MY has the same 0-60 as the SR+ M3, maybe the change you are hoping for won’t be so pronounced. (Unless the LR M3 is noticeably faster than SR+ M3) This is based off the butt-dyno though..

    Buying TPMS Sensors

Yikes, are there no alternatives yet? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I got alternatives for the previous TPMS for $99 pre-programmed. Maybe bluetooth makes this more expensive and hard to replicate.

    Buying TPMS Sensors

    Very nice, how much?
  42. P

How many MY SR are actually sold, don`t see many people talking about it

Perhaps acceleration is not limited by the battery capacity then (unless it is a wash between the SR's reduced weight and smaller battery capacity compared to LR)? Wonder if that means Tesla is holding software unlocked power increase for the LR MY. But you guys are making me feel even more...

Any Model Y with new projector headlights in the USA?

So the order page renderings in Canada still show the old (silver) headlights.
  44. P

    Former Model 3 Owners

Are the gripes with the handling on the AWD MY coming from the weight of the extra motor up front? Specifically for those that came from the RWD M3. Maybe it won’t be so bad for the RWD MY that’s now available. I’ll let you guys know once I make the switch next week.

    RWD MY Waiting Room

Me too, I'm hoping they held out on battery buffer to pull an ace out of their sleeve later. And the comment about driving slower (<70mph) makes no sense. Where I live and most places in North America that I've visited, driving under 70mph in good weather just does not mesh with the flow of...

SR Y paper says 2 motors?

How's the real world range? The reports of the 50kWh battery are scaring me.
