Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

It's called Financial Spoofing. Totally illegal and should be reported to FINRA. Only problem is FINRA is owned and operated by the Spoofers. ( I.e., Goldman, JPM, etc.)

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Those are all reasoned points, but we were talking about Toyota (either 1st or 2nd in the world for auto sales), a non-american company, making the statement that they plan to have 25 BEV models for sale by 2026. Maybe they are "overly optimistic" like GM and VW. We'll see soon, IMO.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

A few questions: Do you think that Tesla can grow enough to complete "the mission" on its own in any reasonable time frame? Or, alternatively, do you think that any of the legacy companies that are trying to get BEV tech up to speed, will do so quickly enough to help the mission in any...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I'm still thinking something might be happening with Toyota. I can't say I know, but it seems that Toyota is a lot more reluctant to lie than say, VW. So, when Toyota says they will have 25 BEV models by 2026, one has to wonder how is that possible? All those batteries, drive trains, battery...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

To be clear, a stock spilt of any amount could happen at any time. However, a stock dividend of more than 2 for 1 cannot happen without shareholder approval for an increase in authorized shares. A share dividend has the affect of, not only being a boon for the shareholders per se but, being a...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I say that to myself many times per day when I see the naivete and lack of knowledge displayed in the majority of the posts here. Most people have to find out the hard way.

I am a HODLER only, but it looks to me like we now have conditions for a Gamma squeeze. Anyone?

They will be SOL. Disintermediated. I think it will be hard, if not impossible, to keep themselves relevant. Oh well!

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

This is true. Any successful blockchain implementation would need the reimplementation of the uptick rule for short sales AND the retraction of the market maker (Madoff) exception. It would also require the digitization of the shares of all public companies' shares.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I'm not a chemical or electrical engineer, but I am quite sure that the superiority of the 4680 technology was achieved through a combination of chemistry, system management, tabless format and the actual physical dimensions of the battery (46mm x 80mm). Therefore, I believe the battery will be...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Are you saying that Toyota will have access to the 4680 technology through their relationship with Pana? How will Tesla get paid for the use of this technology? Maybe I missed something along the way. Thanks. Edit: Guess I should have read the intervening posts. Seems like others are wondering...

Just to clarify: as I understand it, right now orders for the refreshed Model S and the Plaid (non-+) are being taken. I ordered a refreshed S (18520 battery pack: 412 Mi.) last week and was told May or June delivery.

To really drill on the "chip shortage", it exists because some legacy automakers are beginning to read the handwriting on the wall and don't want to build more cars that they know will not sell. MO.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I call this the "Good Samaritan" syndrome. People who, in actuality, are putting themselves and others in danger by ceding a right of way that not only do they not possess, but they create a situation that no educated driver is expecting. How "accidents" happen. FSD will take care of this...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

As I have mentioned on numerous occasions, any scenario in which a new security is distributed to the rightful holders of the 954M shares of TSLA, will force the (illegal/naked) shorts to buy in, IMO.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Thanks for spelling out the essence of what I just said. I often make the mistake of thinking that participants on this board can think one or two steps forward on their own.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Good points, but I believe what Elon is saying is that, no matter how fast Tesla can manufacture robotaxis, it still won't be fast enough without engaging manufacturing capacity other that what Tesla can muster, to complete the mission.
  19. H

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

My take on Elon's response is: expect a partner/licensee or two for the $25,000 "World Car".

Disagree. All things considered, he learned the right lesson. It's the only one that NEEDS to be learned. Most everyone has to learn for themselves that this is true, sometimes painfully.

You learn something everyday. I never would have expected you to launch such a hateful, gratuitous political barb on this forum (or anywhere for that matter).

Actually, it seems you are quite good at catching falling knives. The saying is: "DON'T try to catch a falling knife". I.e., wait for the bottom. Oh well, maybe a lesson learned.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Uber's impediment to success has always been dependent on the questionable tax treatment of their drivers. I.e., are they employees or subcontractors? IMO, all things considered, they are employees. A UK court recently ruled that they are employees. Although a recent US court ruled the other...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Regardless of why the stock might be tanking, there will be a day of reckoning for all the call buyers and (even more so) the put sellers. Is now the time? I don't know, but eventually it will happen. All that "free money" given back and maybe more. Painful.
  29. H

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

RICO on steroids, right in plain view. Outrageous. As I've said here many times, it's the largest financial crime ever perpetrated against the investing public, ever.
  30. H

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I'm not going into it, but you are absolutely wrong. Do some DD and look it up. There is a split where the Company splits all authorized shares through an accounting action. I.e., the Company decides that all shares are going to be split 5 for 1, say. One day you have 1 share, on issuance, you...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Apparently you are not aware of the havoc that the stock split, in the from of a dividend that TSLA issued, caused to many of the shorts who had to deliver 4 shares for every one they had shorted. You really don't know what you are talking about. Edit: Thanks Lessmog.
  32. H

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

A stock split, in the form of a dividend (like TSLA did), would really be the death knell for these miscreants!

I am quite sure this is an extension of the CTO that Tesla has with FCA. The original CTO was approved by SEC in 2017, I believe.

  39. H

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I agree 100%. In my 50+ years of investing I have never witnessed any near-future event that is so obviously predictable that actual happened as expected. The thieves on Wall Street, it seems, will always come up with a strategy to make sure that they profit on preventing that expected event...

You're right. The Pareto Principle applies to stock movement too. 80/20 rule seems to happen a lot in life. Interesting.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

When one ponders how a stock price can be manipulated, it is necessary to understand that there are several ways to control a stock price, given enough money. It is difficult to discern how much "legal" shorting vis-a-vis "naked shorting" contribute to a major downward move of an SP. But, the...
