    Strange tesla comments in Australia

I had a couple of bricklayers at my house yesterday and they were saying whats in that a V12. I was like no its electric. What do you mean, you dont use petrol, no... It's electric. It has two engines, powered by batteries. No-way... Is the car on, yes... it is on. WOW, so quiet. Yes, no petrol...

    OMG I love it

What do peoplpe actually think about range charging and/or typical charges? I have my P85D car set at 80% for my charging, and in the 7+ weeks only done one range charge thus far. I also typically charge up to 80% and don't typically disconnect the car until it sys "charging complete"... What...

Does anyone know when the 3-phase wall chargers will be rolled out in A/NZ

As per the title line, does anybody know when the 3-phase wall chargers will be coming to a home near you? I have the dual chargers and would love to take more advantage at home. Cheers and thanks Chris

    Ludicrous upgrade for Australia?

Just an FYI... I asked yesterday and Ludicrous mode is still not in Australia for upgrade :( I will get it, when I bought the P, I bought it for the performance angle as well, may as well get the extra grunt if it is available.

    Australian Supercharger Rally SYD-MEL MEL-SYD

I would love to be joining you all... unfortunately for work I have been traveling the past four... so trying to get a few days off work is near impossible. Perhaps next time. I am taking my car to Sand Down this weekend as a compromise. :) Chris

    7.0 in Australia

Folks, just thinking, is there a website hosted in Australia/New Zealand that details day trips and/or 3rd parties that provide electricity so that newbies or old-timers can plan out trips? I know evtripplanner, but it doesn't quite cover the Australian 3rd parties so to speak? Thoughts?

Has anybody installed/fitted a rear and/or front cam for recording while parked etc?

Hello, just wondering about the dash cams I have seen talked about in the US forums... I personally have had someone back in to the front of my old car and drive off without leaving a note in Vic. So I was wondering about fitting a front and rear cam to my new P85D such as those mentioned here...

    7.0 in Australia

My drive to Geelong Friday week ago seemed to be a bit noisier than my recent (on Sunday) drive to Kilmore... But hey, I have only driven the car a little over 3 days now. :) Still can't get the grin off my face. Although tinting will now help with the photo-bombing.

I just organised tinting for my car at Tesla in Richmond, pretty painless. Getting done as we speak.

    7.0 in Australia

One other thing I found that was interesting was heading along the Northern Highway as I exited Wallan heading towards Kilmore. The sweeping wide lanes where It goes from 2 lanes and the "middle line" disappears and goes to one lane "soon" was interesting, the car drifted left quite a lot, then...

    7.0 in Australia

Guys, I applied my 7.0 update to my car... Was slightly scared as it took well over an hour... Given it was my first update and my second actual driving day - lets just say my fingers were crossed. It was unbelievable... Driving up to Kilmore to visit my parents with auto-steering kicking in...

    7.0 in Australia

Interesting, I would think one and 2 myself... but when I picked up my car on Friday last week from Richmond, I was told it could roll out to my car in the next 6-12 hours... So could be a post-roll-out interruption?

I pick up my car on Friday - Yay

The funniest thing so far was pulling in to Tesla at Richmond and watching a girl walk right in front of the car she simply didn't hear me coming. Followed by a whole family taking pictures 1 by 1 as I sat waiting for a table at Top Paddoch.

HPWC | what is the expected charge rate when at home.

Thanks everybody. I think it has been set at 20A as everybody mentioned and 16A draw for the car. I believe it was also set this way so that when 3-phase HPWC comes along, I'll be able to get more 16A 3 phase, or 50 km/hr.

HPWC | what is the expected charge rate when at home.

Yeah, my theory is similar... Asking Tim and Jay that very question about the install. I do have a third party e-station mobile charger as well. But need to check if there is a limitation with the power on the house. I know (or believe) I have 53A, 3 phase, not quite 60 from memory. But yes a...

HPWC | what is the expected charge rate when at home.

thanks Trav... Why then am I only charging at half your rate? I can't change the Amp's up in the car at all? I am meant to have dual chargers installed in the car as well... Any ideas?

HPWC | what is the expected charge rate when at home.

Hello, I have dual charges installed and at home 3-phase 53A power, although the wall mount is still single phase until three phase rolls out. Just checking with you all that 16A is expected power charging rate? 17km/hr 245v 16/16A thanks all.

I pick up my car on Friday - Yay

Maybe a few more... I think it was slightly less than 80% charged, but it was a lot of fun showing my nieces and nephews and hearing them all say go again... something I won't forget in a while. What an amazing car. Yeah James said it will be available in the next 6-12 hours. I guess I'll...

    Ludicrous upgrade for Australia?

My theory whether right or wrong is I am spending over 200K on a car that does 3.2 to 100, Whats another 10 or so to get an extra 400ms. Try and do that in an ICE car and its swapping an engine out. I made the decision to get the 'P' may as well get the best 'P' performance.
