FS: Brand New OEM 2022 Model Y Internal Privacy Trunk Cover

I don’t get downtown often as my office is in Itasca, near Schaumburg. I’ll have to look at my schedule to work something out. Thinking about the item a little further, given that the aftermarket versions provide 4 supplemental trim pieces to serve as the front and rear mounting points, how...

Curbed 20” Induction rims / Replacement question

Take a look on eBay. I saw a few wheel + tire options. My wife recently did the same thing on our Y, about 45 days into owning it. The wheel damage was pretty minor, but I’ll look to replace the wheel at some point in the near future.

Petting Zoo business in a Tesla Model 3?

Throw in a creative name and you have a solid business case for a Plaid S or new Roadster.

Petting Zoo business in a Tesla Model 3?

Does the fact that your parents bought the Model 3 enhance the flexing? Seems like it should. 🤞 In all seriousness you’ve clearly put a lot of thought into this and I’ll check in periodically to see about franchising opportunities in the Midwest.

Anyone use this Romex 6/3 cable during install?

I agree, but the correct circuit is exactly what is being discussed here. To be clear 6/3 should be paired with no more than a 55A breaker.

Anyone use this Romex 6/3 cable during install?

IF a 60A breaker was to be used it would be incumbent on the person charging the car to limit the charging to 44A in car or, using the gen 3 HPWC as an example, when going through the original setup of the HPWC it would need to be set to 50A max using the interface. If there was an extended...

Anyone use this Romex 6/3 cable during install?

Careful about reviving old threads and putting bad information out there. A 60 amp breaker should NOT be used. Wire size for wall charger Posts 88 and 89 quickly get the right information out there. @jcanoe, @Rocky_H, and @Magnetic Flux (amongst several others) have been very helpful in...

Is Phantom Braking Still a Problem?

THIS. Over the weekend I was driving on a I88 (2 lane divided for the most part) from Davenport to Chicago and while cruising in the right lane and passing by every on ramp the car would shift right due to the widened lane. Would be nice if the car stayed anchored to the center line instead of...

    Model Y Matte Black Spoiler

Tesmanian website shows fitment is for Tesla Model Y, so I'm going to say no it will not fit the Model 3. Note that I only have a Model Y and cannot physically confirm this by trying it on a Model 3.

Test drove the Model Y, Model 3 and the Mach E back to back to back, yesterday

Currently the Model Y Performance can only be configured with 5 seats, whereas the Model Y Long Range can be either 5 or 7 seats. That said, unless Tesla opens up the Performance for 7 seats the decision has been made for us. I’d have to imagine the added weight of the third row seats...

    Journey to my MY

I’ve been meaning to write this up for a bit, just haven’t had the time until now. I’ve been watching Tesla from a distance over the past 8 years with the hope that I’d own one someday. I had other goals that needed to be tackled first though. Anyways, fast forward to March 2020 when COVID...

    Wire size for wall charger

Speaking of house loading measurements...while looking at the load calculation worksheet that was part of my permit package handled by the electrician for the install of a gen 3 HPWC with a 60a breaker I noticed that he used 60a x 240 = 14,440 watts. Since the charger is hardwired and rated to...
