Supercharger - Omaha, NE (8801 West Center Rd.)

Yeah... this area that you, Trips and AdamY2022 have pointed out seems to be the better option. The one in the northeast is probably too close to the busier West Center road.

Supercharger - Omaha, NE (8801 West Center Rd.)

The permit that is posted says there will be 12 EV signs and the attached Google Map shows there are 12 spots that I highlighted in the upper right of the image. So, we'll see if this is where they will be located.

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

Wasn't there a story a few months ago about Tesla putting used or refurbished batteries in newer cars? If so, maybe this is one of those.

What to do when no Nema 14-50 adapters available?

I'm not sure how close you are to a Tesla Service Center but you might want to try and just show up or call if it's a little bit of a drive and see if they have one available to purchase. That's how I picked mine up at two different service centers. I think I paid $40-$45.

Steering Wheel Tray in Menards latest ad thru 24 Dec

I was just looking through my local Menards ad and they are selling a Steering Wheel Tray, that looks like what a few Tesla vendors are selling, for $2.99 after $7.00 rebate. ($9.99 when purchased and then you mail-in the receipt for a $7.00 Menards credit). Even the $9.99 without the rebate is...

GAR, Once the Computer Module and the Charge Port was fixed it's been fine. So far, I'm up to 2300 miles, and it drives and performs like I expect it to. The only the recently issue out of the blue while I was driving a few days ago was the crackling sound coming from my speakers it changes...

    Tracking with the app...

This is not accurate from my experience. I sold my 2019 Model 3 to Vroom and after it was picked up and loaded onto a semi-truck I was able to track where it was while it was loaded/traveling from Illinois to Texas. I'm guessing it pings off of GPS signals no matter if traveling, on a trailer...

I just updated my Android app to 4.2.2 and after the latest update I now the steering wheel heater option back via the Tesla car app.

    Heated steering wheel on app?

My apologies for the large pic attachment. It was sent using my phone and of course it wasn't that large when I posted it via the phone app. Now that I'm on my PC it is larger then it needs to be. Mods can you resize this smaller or delete that attachment? Is that possible cause I am not able...

    Heated steering wheel on app?

I'm on the latest Android app version and I don't see my heated steering wheel available either. I have all the seats but no steering wheel. I do have 'Defrost The Car' option when I slide up from the bottom.

    Supercharger - Dayton, OH

True. But mostly likely it'll be within that general area and probably no more than a couple of miles just off of Interstate 75.
  12. N

    Superchargers - Fair Oaks, IN

If I'm following the timeline for this Super Charger site, it appears that the actual construction portion only took about 3 weeks. That's fantastic and, if close to accurate, then for 12 charging spots the construction personnel blazed through this project. Kudos to that crew.

    Home Electrical for Dummies

You should be fine with a 14-50 install since you said your breaker box is in the garage so the cost for an electrician should hopefully be no more than $300. Mine was $500 but my breaker box is in the basement so longer wire was needed that ups the overall costs. I use my mobile connector with...

Tesla "T" on touchscreen not showing

Thanks JJ. My owners manual in my Tesla account is 2020.44 North America. So, they must've given me an outdated manual. Appreciate the update so I'm not racking my brain to try and figure out how to get it back on the screen.

Tesla "T" on touchscreen not showing

I picked up my Model 3 LR a couple of months ago and I'm just now noticing that the Tesla "T" on the touchscreen that is supposed to the right of the outside temperature indicator, see attached picture, does not show up on mine. It was on my 2019 Model 3 cause I used it a few times as the...

"Charging equipment not recognized" but car charges

Same thing happened to my 2021 LR AWD Model 3 last Saturday after picking it up on Friday from service for another issue previously. I drove my car back to service the next day and they took it in for service and gave me a loaner. I got an email and a message in my app that the cars charge port...

Multiple alert messages on the screen

Yeah, my 2019 I had no issues and drove it for 8,000 miles thru May 2020. Probably should have kept it. You would think by now of 4+ years with building Model 3's that there wouldn't be very many major issues but sometimes I guess that's not been the case of the last several months. I will keep...

Multiple alert messages on the screen

Well, I will chime in here with my situation. I picked up my 2021 LR AWD White Model 3 on June 26th and on July 9th I received pretty much the same alerts that Willy's EV mentioned in his post. They had my car for a couple of weeks and did all kinds of checks and diagnosis on it to include...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

The Tesla owner's manual and several experts might just disagree with this reporters take on every night charging. "The question of whether to charge your electric car every night gets asked by some EV drivers who worry persistently about depleting the battery without a charging station nearby...

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

I had a 2021 White LR AWD Model 3 on order for a month and tonight I located a 2021 SR+ Deep Metallic Blue Model 3 in Denver Colorado (with 3 miles on it) that I processed the order on. I just have to pay the $500 transport fee to Kansas City. It has White interior, and 19" Wheels. I'm kind of...

Ordered Model 3, now with all cameras so all features might not work?

This probably has to do with the recent 'Tesla Vision' switch to using all the camera and not the radar. There's plenty of threads talking about Tesla Vision if you want to search for it.

Tesla loan comparison spreadsheet - auto updates hourly

I did the [email protected] email like it said in the attachment. I guess you could send it to both to see if you get different responses. It may be the same office folks or two different ones. I was happy with the same day (within a couple of hours) response when I emailed RateMatch. If you...

Tesla loan comparison spreadsheet - auto updates hourly

I had approved offers from PenFed and USAA. Once I had those I submitted my request, I'm 3-4 weeks out from delivery, to the RateMatch email and they usually respond within a day to either match yours or do slightly better. I attached the instructions from Tesla that lays out all of the guidelines.

Tesla loan comparison spreadsheet - auto updates hourly

I applied today and received an approval loan at 2.29% for 75 month. I emailed [email protected] soon after to see if they could do better and they came back with 2.19% for 72 months. Supercharger Needed on I-26 in South Carolina - help submit to Tesla

This link, Host a SuperCharger from the Tesla website shows how a business can become a host of a Supercharger. Long Range Model 3 was just updated to now offer 614 Kilometers on one charge - Fortune article

Me personally, it wouldn't make much since to upgrade to a new battery and only increase it with 7 miles of range. But that's just me. Doesn't seem like it's worth the squeeze if it only goes from 353 to 360.
  29. N

Long Range Model 3 was just updated to now offer 614 Kilometers on one charge - Fortune article

My prediction will be somewhere around 380-390. My 2019 Model 3 AWD, when purchased, was listed at 310 and now they are 353. So, a 10% increase in range with the new batteries is not out of the realm of possibilities.

Long Range Model 3 was just updated to now offer 614 Kilometers on one charge - Fortune article

I get it that the WLTP is a different measurement then what is used for the US market. But, if it's true that the new battery will be 82kwh size then it'll have a better range then the current battery and thus be closer to the 400 mile range mark then what is currently being offered.
  31. N

Long Range Model 3 was just updated to now offer 614 Kilometers on one charge - Fortune article

I was thinking it may be for the EU market first since the article was mainly talking in metric terms. Well, if it ends up making to the US market it'll closer to the 400 mile mark. That's a plus I guess. These are the batteries that'll probably be in the Cybertruck when they start producing them.

Long Range Model 3 was just updated to now offer 614 Kilometers on one charge - Fortune article

A recent article has the Tesla Model 3 now with a range of 382 miles. Anyone have any further updates then the Fortune article (dated May 2, 2021) that talks about this? I'm still seeing 353 miles of range for the Model 3 AWD version on Tesla's website. The 600 club: These electric vehicles are...

Are my headlights misaligned? Front bumper?

Yep, mine (Aug 2019 purchase) were the same and the St. Louis SC said mine was within specs as well and that they wasn't even going to try and make them look a little better. I also looked at others in their sales lot and about half looked like mine and others were better seated within the...

    Mobile adapter for this plug?

It appears to be a Leviton, if I read that correctly, shown in the bottom of his picture. Since overheating is a problem does anyone think he should change this out without something more reliable and safer?

EVNation is correct. Here's another location to check out...NEMA 10-50P to 14-50R Adapter for EV – EVSE Adapters They have it in 2 ft. ($39) and 10 ft lengths. ($59). Plus they have long extension cords if you ever need them.

Car and Drivers 6-month review of a 2019 Model 3

You're correct... the article did not state 'every stop'. I interpreted that after reading that particular paragraph and using my best guess cause of their slight about time efficiency.

Car and Drivers 6-month review of a 2019 Model 3

I get it that they are a car magazine and are going to do the review how they see fit but they way I read it makes it sound like they were surprised that when charging to 100% doesn't make your travels very efficient time wise. I'm not an expert like most, but that kind of thinking has been...

Car and Drivers 6-month review of a 2019 Model 3

I'm not saying they (or anyone else) should not charge to 100% but just to expect it'll take a little longer when topping off the battery (i.e. going from 80-100% slows down significantly). On the few trips that I have taken I'll drive down to around 20-25% and then charge back up to around 75...

Car and Drivers 6-month review of a 2019 Model 3

I'm sure there are several things that stick out in this article but I noticed two right away. One... why are they charging to 100% at Tesla Superchargers at every stop. From all that I've read that's not an efficient way to charge on long trips. Two... they list the battery capacity spec at...

Is the Model 3 on death row because of the Model Y?

I'm pretty sure the Tesla Model 3 is safe and not on death row if they are cranking out several hundred thousand in China and once Giga Berlin is built they'll be cranking out several hundred thousands their as well.

    Supercharger - Richmond, IN

Yeah, there seems to be some disconnect between Tesla's SC Map and Supercharge.info website. Tesla list 12 SC stalls at up to 150kW and Supercharge.info list 8 SC stalls at up to 250kW. It'd be nice to have a little better consistency but I know that's expecting a lot. At least it's available...

Charged my TM3 at home to 310 miles

My 2019 Model 3 LR AWD (bought in Aug 2019, now with 7600 miles) with an EPA range of 310 miles just received the 2020.12.5 software upgrade. After checking out the latest featured I checked the Energy/Distance on my car and I noticed that my Range distance is 10 miles less after the upgrade...

Touchless carwash is safe right? Flooding! (sorry it's wordy)

I agree with Garlan. Nothing wrong with Touchless Car Washes. I just choose to use the ones without any rails and having to put my car in neutral.

Touchless carwash is safe right? Flooding! (sorry it's wordy)

Same here. I take my 2019 LR AWD Model 3 through a Touchless Car Wash here locally and you just pull up to the center of a concrete pad and the car wash sensors let you know when to stop. The ones with any type of rails that pulls you along would not be advised for Tesal cars. Like Knightshade...

    Supercharger - Richmond, IN

The Tesla SC map still has this SC as a gray pin versus a red pin to indicate that it's good to go. But I just checked the Supercharge.info website and it now list this SC as open effective on April 8th. It lists as an 8 stall SC topping out at 250kW. Maybe the folks who update the Tesla SC map...

Any updated status on this SC? It's been in the construction process for about 58 days now. According to the pictures posted above, about 3-4 weeks ago, it appeared to be near the finishing up stage. Anyone nearby the SC to update with new pictures?
