Why some 2017 75D AWD have 0-60 in 5.2 seconds?

You can also check this sheet for crowd-sourced VIN ranges for uncorking: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14Nc25Oa9XAcDFlTbtv6jCQAwMJyWZYstwIPMJFE0j0w/edit#gid=0

Why some 2017 75D AWD have 0-60 in 5.2 seconds?

I believe that nearly all 75D's can be uncorked. You might be able to check this thread for more info: Uncorking official for most 75Ds! Uncorking didn't cost me anything.

Why some 2017 75D AWD have 0-60 in 5.2 seconds?

For the ones listed as "5.2", you *may* be able to upgrade them to "4.2" later (aka, the uncorking process). My used 75D was sold to me as a 5.2, but I was able to get it uncorked later.

    Detected Speed limit sign representation

After installing 2022.28.2, my speed limit signs are back to American.

    Detected Speed limit sign representation

I'm still seeing the European speed limit signs with 2022.24.8.

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

I would tend to agree with you - I suspect the RCCC camera config is receiving little testing anymore since it is such a small user base.

Oh - did I miss something? Are they switching to vision only in production AP software?
  9. S

RCCB cameras are *required* in order to get FSD beta.

Auto Lane Change Unavailable - Car Cannot See Lane

The highways where I experience this are US highways - US 29 and US 211 in Virginia. Note, I'm using autosteer and trying to make manual automatic lane changes, not NoA automatic lane changes.
  11. S

Auto Lane Change Unavailable - Car Cannot See Lane

Yes, broken white line between the two lanes, in good condition. Two lanes only. Visualization displays a single normal sized lane. I have "legacy" Model S -> no lane change camera. The message from the car is "lane change unavailable." Yes, it's repeatable on that same road...

Auto Lane Change Unavailable - Car Cannot See Lane

I'm having pretty consistent trouble with Auto Lane Change not working while in Autosteer (production FSD, *not* FSD beta) on certain roads. When this is happening, I can see on the FSD visualization that AP doesn't see that there's an adjacent lane and that's why it won't change lanes. A few...

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

That doesn't sound consistent with the experiences of others in this group. As far as I've read in the experiences on this thread, the FSD beta does NOT require changing the gateway config (and in fact, changing the gateway config might break your APU).
  14. S

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Also, that MONOCAMERA seems wrong too. Is that the AP1 camera?

    Supercharger - Seaford, DE

They should have built this one in Bridgeville instead.

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

I don't think there is a lot new there. NHTSA was already investigating crashes into emergency vehicles (and Tesla already made software changes in response to that issue). This is really just a change in status of that investigation.
  17. S

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Looks like you're missing a camera.
  18. S

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Yes, the backup camera is already full color.

    Infotainment Upgrade

Even Apple stops supporting old phone models after a while. MCU 1 hardware is over 10 years old.
  20. S

    Frequency of reboot

I have a similar vintage vehicle w/ MCU2 and rarely reboot my MCU. I can think of maybe half a dozen times where I've manually rebooted. There's usually a software update at least once a month though, so it gets rebooted when I install those. But yes...it's complicated software that is...

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

I would be concerned about the RH repeater part #. That sounds like a really old PN (they are assigned sequentially as far as I've observed, so 103xxxx is really old).
  22. S

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Not really seeing anything new there...
  23. S

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

I don't have any, but it would be difficult for anyone but Tesla to come up with any hard statistics (outside of perhaps finding two identical vehicles, one RCCC and one RCCB and conducting a controlled experiment).
  24. S

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

Traffic light color detection is the obvious example that comes to mind. But also lane line detection perhaps. Emergency light detection?
  25. S

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

I wonder about that. My gut tells me that the production FSD features *probably* perform better with RCCB cameras, if for no other reason than Tesla probably doesn't spend a lot of resources testing the RCCC / HW3 configuration, given that it's such a tiny percentage of the global fleet.
  26. S

I installed the electric frunk for the Plaid!

Nice! Don't know why Tesla doesn't just include such a feature on the MS.

Plugged in bacon strips to charge? (Even if climate control is off?)

This thread seems to indicate that there is a threshold (~3%?) that the SOC must drop before the car will kick the charger on: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/how-far-does-charge-drop-while-plugged-in-before-kicking-back-on.252517/

The brake light reflection animation has been there for a while I think (while driving). I look at that from time to time to see when the car turns on the brake lights while regening.
  31. S

    Tire air smell when charging?

Yeah, something could be wrong with your onboard charger. You might want to have Tesla service take a look at it. Alternatively, you could try it on another level 2 charging station somewhere to try to rule out your home electrical setup.
  32. S

    Tire air smell when charging?

If your breaker is tripping, then there is definitely a problem somewhere. Can you tell if the smell is coming from the car vs from the NEMA outlet, or from the mobile connector?
  33. S

    Camera upgrades

Yeah if you had HW 2.5 from the factory, you should be good to go camera wise.

    Camera upgrades

Tesla claims that they are inviting people by safety score, so yes it does appear that you need a safety score. However, there are many owners with high safety scores who have not been invited. Personally, I haven't opted in yet - waiting until there's more supply of cameras and FSD beta...

They are only needed for FSD beta currently. You need to have purchased FSD. See Full Self-Driving Computer Installations.

MORE MCU QUESTIONS AND STUCK ON 2020.48.37.8

Yeah, the "Request FSD Beta" button shows up regardless of whether your car has the necessary cameras. :-( You will just never get the beta software. See this very long thread: Wiki - [Promised Resolution] FSD’s earliest adopters find themselves again deprioritized and forgotten

MORE MCU QUESTIONS AND STUCK ON 2020.48.37.8

Be aware that you won't be able to actually get the FSD beta until you get upgraded RCCB cameras (upgrades for which are by invite only at this point).

    MCU2 questions

From my experience, this seems to have started with the recent software builds (and/or possibly related to AT&T 3G shutdown?). But as you appear to be in France, Tesla presumably uses a different cellular carrier there.

SiriusXM doesn't work without cellular connection?

Additional data point: in recent software builds (or possibly related to the ATT 3G shutdown?), I have observed that it now sometimes takes a long time for the car to connect to cellular after starting up - sometimes several minutes. Tonight, I was in that situation when I got into the car...

SiriusXM doesn't work without cellular connection?

Yesterday, I was driving in an area without cellular coverage. I went to switch the MCU to listen to SiriusXM and the display just hung there with the giant spinner. It started working again when I got back to cellular coverage. It sure seems like they are trying to load something over the...
