    Diamond stich Floor mats

Thanks. There are quite a few companies that make in Diamond stich style for all cars including Tesla. I was wondering are there any vendors (like some of them we have seen in these forums) making for only Tesla. Reason being that fit and finish should be great compared to others

    Diamond stich Floor mats

Looking for floor mats with Diamond stich style. Found the following in Amazon. But this is a generic one not specifically made for Model Y and I am sure fit and finish will not be that great. Any other places where these diamond stich style mats are made for Model Y...

Your experience with Mileage warranty Tires

MYP being staggered set up, there is no tire rotation.

Your experience with Mileage warranty Tires

I was thinking that some MYP owners would have experienced rear tires wearing out faster and tried to claim mileage warranty.
  5. A

Your experience with Mileage warranty Tires

Given that tires wear out faster than other cars, how has been your experience in claiming mileage warranty coverage for tires? This should be more on staggered set up for MYP's where there is a need to change the rears more. Discount tires says " Most tire manufacturers will reduce the...

All Season Tire Preferences - MICHELIN PILOT SPORT ALL SEASON VS VREDESTEIN QUATRAC PRO VS EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 PLUS

Have seen some posts where Michelins are out of stock in the 21" inch size. If snow traction is not an issue, I guess EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 PLUS should be a great alternate option

    Can you transfer a reservation?

Thanks. This is great information. Have seen some reservations getting cancelled, loosing initial deposit etc. I think people should make use of this rather than wasting their reservation
  11. A

    Can you transfer a reservation?

Have you done this or knows anyone who has done it? If this is true, some of the earlier posts where the person holding the reservation and the new buyer going to take delivery center together on the day of the delivery etc seems unnecessary.

Didn't the refresh to MYP headlights happened a while back or is it something new for YP's being delivered this January onwards?

Upside/Downside to going from stock 20x9.5 to 20x9

What I meant to say was two things 1) With a 9 inch width wheel you are limited to 265 width tires normally 2) Thought you have a MYP.... so this not applicable to you. What I have seen is that with a 20 inch wheel on a square set up on MYP the max tire width is 275 ( I am sure it is with...

Upside/Downside to going from stock 20x9.5 to 20x9

With a 9 inch width wheel you are limited to 265 width tires. With 20" wheels, maximum tire width you could go up to on a square set up on MYP is 275 tires.....

Maximum Tires Size Model Y Performance?

255 is wider for EV already ...as in from a range stand point? My assumption will be that most of the MYP owners should be willing to sacrifice some range for better handling, looks , etc. BTW don't know if the range loss is a real with wider wheels.
  18. A

Maximum Tires Size Model Y Performance?

From a width stand point, 275 is the widest I have seen on MYP front. Quite a few folks with 275 40 20, with 28.7" inch overall diameter

285's or 295's for MYP at front and back/square set up

What I meant to ask and figure out was, at some point due to overall width of tire/wheels, it is going to rub the upright? For example, I assume that 305 35 20 will have issues for MYP front, though the overall height of this set up is going to be less than 29 inches
  21. A

285's or 295's for MYP at front and back/square set up

As I wrote multiple times, that's not an issue. The offset if it becomes a problem is easily fixed with a slim spacer. You can slap on a ten buck 5mm spacer from amazon w/o needing new studs. That makes it a very easy adjustment. Now what we cannot adjust or fix is that upright knuckle! Just...

    Can you transfer a reservation?

You did it at the time of taking delivery of the car? In that case, the person who booked the car would have made the payments, taken insurance etc to take delivery of the car and then transferred to reservation? or both of you had to go to the delivery center way before scheduling delivery and...

    Can you transfer a reservation?

If both parties happens to be in the same place and could go to the delivery center together then transfer seems doable. Otherwise, too many unknowns...anyone done it?

285's or 295's for MYP at front and back/square set up

I agree that upright connecting the upper A-arms curves inside making room for tire/rim and the height can become an issue. At the same time, was wondering is there enough clearance to the upright from a wider tire at front on MYP? In this case, 285 tires in width.
  26. A

285's or 295's for MYP at front and back/square set up

You mean, issue could be that tires rubbing the double A arms due to the width?

285's or 295's for MYP at front and back/square set up

Thanks @thesmokingman. I think those 275 45 19's with 28.7" overall diameter with 10.8" width are on a Model Y not MYP. Also that Y is lifted by 10mm. As I mentioned before, we know that there are no fitment issues with 275 40 20's for front and back on MYP (will be 28.7" overall diameter...

285's or 295's for MYP at front and back/square set up

Have seen folks going with 275 40 20 square set up on stock MYP's without any fitment issues ( on a wider wheel size 105"). Between 275 40 20 and 285 40 20, the difference in overall diameter is 28.7 inches Vs 29 inches. Rear shouldn't be a problem but don't know about front fitment for MYP

Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

Looks nice 👍 265 40 21 should have 29.3" inch diameter compared to 29 inch for a 285 40 20. It looks like 285 40 20 should be a good fit for stock MYP square set up

Anyone has installed a 285 on a 20" wheel on a stock MYP square set up? Given that 285 40 20 will be 29" in overall diameter, waiting to hear back from folks who may have considered it on stock Model Y performance square set up...

285's or 295's for MYP at front and back/square set up

Thanks. Good to know that 285 35's can be used but its on a MPP modified Y with coil overs etc. Trying to see if 285's can go on a stock MYP. Given that 285 40 20 will be 29" in overall diameter, waiting to hear back from folks who may have considered it on stock MYPs

Anyone has 285's or 295's on 19 or 20" wheels for MYP at front and back/square set up? We all know that, stock set up on MYP with 255 35 21 Front, 275 35 21 rear, overall diameter will be 712mm at front and 726mm for rear tires. Reading through multiple threads, following are my observations...

Model Y Reservation Transfer - how much premium to pay?

Are you going to be the first owner /title holder for the car? or your acquaintance taking the delivery by paying taxes, registration etc and then selling to you? If he is flipping it for a profit, I am sure he will have to pay capital gain taxes too at tax time

Wheels and tires for for that X5 M look!!

Wheels and tires for for that X5 M look!!

Just found a Model Y on the Stance Wheels website with 295/30/21 in the front (square setup with 21x10.5), so maybe 295/35/20 square setup is possible. With 295 30 21's it should be pretty close the stock front overall diameter of MYP ( 710 mm vs 712mm) . While overall diameter is NOT the only...

Max Tire Diameter for Model Y

Thanks. I assume it is for a stock Model Y LR or SR? What will be max diameter on a MYP/performance model? I am trying to decide on a square set up of wheels and tires for MYP. Have seen 275 40 20 been the widest set up without any fitment issues so far

Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

Yes, have seen 275 40 20 without any issues. Trying to explore other options. While overall diameter is the only aspect to consider, something for reference. Rear and front Overall diameter on stock set up - 726 mm and 712 mm with 275's and 255's on 21" rim. Rear and front Overall diameter...

Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

what is the widest tire size that can go on a 20" square set up wheels (10 or 10.5 "width) on Model Y performance? Reason I would like to stick with 20 is due to weight, style, price choices.

Wheels and tires for for that X5 M look!!

Appreciate if someone can provide some inputs here...Is 275 is the widest that can go on a 20" square set up on Model Y performance? Reason I would like to stick with 20 is due to weight, style, price choices.

Wheels and tires for for that X5 M look!!

Thanks. My preference would be a square set up for easier rotation etc. Lots of good choices of wheels and tires on 20". Also, live in an area where no need for winter tires. All seasons will be good
