Used market has really taken a hit.

I've been tracking it also... peaked in July, quickly dropping since. People are expecting the tax credit in January... they'll be in for a surprise.

    Tesla Tires at Costco

I've also run cc2 on model 3 sr+ for over a year. Previously my prior model 3 ran viking contact 7 dedicated winters and oem mxm. Cc2 is very very good in the snow, almost to the level of dedicated winter tires. I would put them similar to economy winter tires like the altimax arctic. I noticed...

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

I ordered in August not shipped yet. Emailed 3x. Got a response saying it's out of stock even though clearly it isn't. They offered to cancel and refund... if I was desperate for it, I'd cancel and reorder but I can wait so I'll just wait. I think if you want it quickly, do what others have...

    Tesla 2022 Model 3 Tires

I know this is an old thread... but if anyone wants to try the Pilot Sport 4 ZR18. I have a set of take-offs for sale (only 210 miles on them). I really liked them but went to Cross-Climate 2. For all year around, the CC2 are great, far far better than the MXM! FS: Michelin Pilot Sport 4...

Discussion :Take model 3 in 2022 or wait for Tax incentives?

I think the confusion here is that I think you are suggesting that LFP is not a Lithium Ion Battery. All of the batteries in current EV's are Lithium Ion regardless of the cell geometry (18650, 2170, 4680, Prismatic, Pouch) or cathode material (NCA, NMC, LFP). All of these are 'Lithium Ion...

How do you pick the delivery destination without doing the registration? I don't see that option in the app. Thanks.

Thoughts from current SR / SR+ / RWD owners

Yup - the CrossClimate2 is also such a tire. How do you like the Vredestein? I was between the two of them when I replaced my OEMs. CC2's are a bit noisy and I see a tiny efficiency loss... otherwise I think they're great (just over 8k miles in). This guy has some good reviews Also if you look...

Thoughts from current SR / SR+ / RWD owners

I've had the SR and SR+ in PA. Ground clearance is similar to many cars (5.5"). For example, I think the 2020 Corolla is 5.1", 2020 Camry is 5.7". So that is not a unique problem with the Tesla. It's RWD but there is no engine weight up front so imo it's better than many RWD cars in the snow...

FS: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 235/45/ZR18 98Y T0 - PA, NJ, DE, MD, NYC

Bumping this again. These are still for sale. $650 for these like new set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 T0 18". These are the OEM tires included in the Tesla 18" Summer Tire Package. I will consider offers.

FS: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 235/45/ZR18 98Y T0 - PA, NJ, DE, MD, NYC

Still trying to get these sold. 650 for a take off (210 miles) set of michelin pilot sport 4 t0. Local pickup. These are the same tires offered by tesla for the model 3 summer tire package. Model 3 18” Aero Wheel and Summer Tire Package Link at tirerack...

Comparisons between Autopilot and Highway Driving Assist 2?

Anyone know of a good video showing what hda2 and blue cruise can do in long distance driving? The only videos I see don't show the road for long stretched. It's hard to guage what it actually can do. Munroe has one on the mach e... it disconnected on a 'sharp' turn on the freeway. I only use...

Charging port door closes very quickly

Maybe they reduced the wait time to reuse the same trigger when releasing the light show. Someone should fix it before you get a bunch of charger door warranty repairs.

FS: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 235/45/ZR18 98Y T0 - PA, NJ, DE, MD, NYC

Thanks for the offer. I'd prefer to just sell them at this point so I can free up some basement space. I currently have CrossClimate2 and I'm really liking them for all season/mild winter purposes, I don't think I'm going to go back to MXM4s.

FS: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 235/45/ZR18 98Y T0 - PA, NJ, DE, MD, NYC

These are still for sale for $800. Photos attached below. They ended up with about 210 miles on them before I had them removed by Costco. They are essentially brand new, they're bagged and stored in climate control. Photos show the actual tires including photos of the foam (T0 version).

    LFP battery in Model 3

I don't know how correct this is but Tesla just told me the 262mi range and the Monroney sticker showing the above #'s are AVERAGED between LFP and NCA with the LFP being the reason the number dropped from 263 to 262. Both NCA and LFP are shipping with 262 Monroney stickers. If this is true...

    LFP battery in Model 3

Sorry, I take back my statement.... I just looked at the Monroney for my NCA and it also says 262 range (141mpge, 149 city, 132 highway, 24kwh/100mi), and is exactly the same as my LFP. That's really strange, other recent custom delivery NCA have received the correct 263mi range Monroney - I've...

    Michelin Crossclimate 2

Between the cc2 and mxm4 t1... any recommendation for one or the other is price was the same? I value the improved snow performance of the cc2 but with an sr+ I am also sensitive to range. I do have another car for the real nasty snow...

    LFP battery in Model 3

It is not. Look at your monroney sticker. It says 262.
  32. R

    LFP battery in Model 3

All 262mi listed sr+ should be lfp. I think unless you ordered custom before Sept or August, you likely are getting lfp. Most non demo inventory ones I've seen since August appear to be lfp.
  33. R

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

262mi sr+ are lfp not nca.... it's 262 on the monroney sticker even though most of us still showing 253 on the car. 263mi is the nca battery. Real verification is the weight but all indication (including my monroney page) is that 262/253mi is lfp and 263 is nca... on 18 inch aero.
  34. R

    LFP battery in Model 3

Lfp sr+ has performance rear motor. Some believe this is why 0to60 rated stayed the same despite the extra 260lb weight. Note that the lfp usable battery capacity is also larger than nca to achieve similar range with the weight hit. Biggest unknown is cold weather range and performance. I...

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

For those of you picking up SR+ 18"... can you let me know what tire you are getting? MXM4 T1's are out of stock everywhere; I suspect that's partially why Base SR+ are pushed out to late next year. I received Pilot Sport 4 Summer Tires with my SR+. So if you're up north and are picking up an...

    Model 3 Winter Tires

Oh, another great data point... in case anyone is thinking about the 'all weather' tires. CC2; Kinergy; Quatrac Pro are all pretty good and I think all have been discussed multiple times on these forums. https://alltyretests.com/michelin-crossclimate-2-test-review/

    Model 3 Winter Tires

Really good data here: https://alltyretests.com/continental-vikingcontact-7-test-review/ I was between the vikingcontact7, R3, and XIce Snow last year. I have R3's on my Subbie Outback and they are just amazing in the ice/snow; I don't think anything is better (I've used almost all of the the...

FS: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 235/45/ZR18 98Y T0 - PA, NJ, DE, MD, NYC

New 2021 Model 3 SR+ picked up on Friday... apparently came with these summer tires (standard on the European SR+). These are the same as in the summer package from Tesla (Model 3 18” Aero Wheel and Summer Tire Package) Summer tires are not ideal for my use case so I'd like to sell them or swap...

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

So... I got the summer tires with my SR+. I didn't even check when I left the delivery center. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 235/45/ZR18. Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

I took delivery of a Model 3 SR+ recently. I just realized that it has Michelin Pilot Sport 4 235/45/zr18. Since I've had a Model 3 before, I didn't even check these before I left the delivery center. Anyone else seen this? I planned on running winter tires anyways during the colder months, so...

    Tire pressure and suspension question

If the tire rated max (sidewall) is 50psi, it's OK to run it 50psi cold. It's increase in pressure due to temperature is designed in. Old prius drivers often ran sidewall max for higher efficiency all the time. With that said, follow your cars door well sticker for proper inflation (cold) for...

Is your US made SR+ LFP charging to 253 or 262?

This is correct. 253 was because originally the car had a 5kwh buffer rather than 2.5kwh. SMT indicated this. The Europeans already went through this months ago with the same battery pack and have shown data on this battery pack. Pre- 11.103 version all lfp had a 5kwh buffer. Verified by the...

    New Chinese made SR+ efficiency

Yup. Light on accelerator, keep speed moderate, keep tire pressure high... you can get really really good efficiency from sr+. I've gotten under 150 wh/m many times before. Winter or high ac usage and long high speed driving will push you above 200 and 250.
  45. R

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

In my 2 years with my 2019 SR, I averaged just over 200wh/mi (this was with two winter seasons, one with nordic snow tires). I almost always beat the rated range unless I was going over 75mph for long periods of time or in winter. I have done dozens of long road trips, SR and SR+ up here in the...
  46. R

    Potential future buyer with questions...

If most of your typical or road trip routes follow major highways with superchargers, an sr+ should be fine. Unless you like to drive more than 3 hours without stopping. In my area I preferred my sr over my ice for road trips, drive 2.5 to 3 hours and charge for 20 min or so for a bio break and...

Is your US made SR+ LFP charging to 253 or 262?

2021.11.103 is the current one for us lfp sr+ unlocks the capacity but shows 253 .I believe 2021.24.x is the European version with 262. This is not a charge rate. This is usable capacity estimated range.
