Inner tail light leak repair, housing disassembly, and cleaning.

Like many others, my inner tail lights on the hatch were both leaking. They would both fill with water during a heavy rain and more recently, they would leak though the hatch itself and get the trunk carpet wet. I had already ordered new gaskets for the tail lights but they both had residue...

Our Model 3 was involved in a minor rear end accident that requires a new rear bumper cover. I was able to go to my service center today and buy a factory painted rear bumper cover off the shelf as well as the reflector that was also damaged. They had at least one front and rear Model 3 bumper...

How to replace the shell on your fob

My key fob was starting to look a bit shabby so I picked up a referb kit from my local service center. The part number is 1032984-00-C and they are only $10. The only tool you will need is a small flat blade screwdriver. The kit contains all the plastic pieces for the fob in a nice little...

    Check your reservation.

Apparently, many people (including myself) can now configure your car even though no email has come though. You may want to check your reservation if you reserved on 3/31 and are an owner.

Factory console mounted pop out rear cupholders for S & X

Just like the title says, this is the rear mounted pop out cupholders that come with the Model X and late 2016 and higher Model S consoles. I have retrofitted them on my refreshed Model S that did not come with them and I'm fairly certain that they should fit on most, if not all, Model S...

Has anyone seen any info on the next 100 Model 3s to be delivered?

We are 1/3 of the way through August and there are supposed to be ~100 more cars hitting the road any day now. I know there will probably not be any fanfare or parties for the next "employee batch" but one would assume that more of them should be spotted with temp tags or whatever they do in...

    Rear floor mat velcro retainers

My mid 2016 Model S came with a rear floor mat that has velcro patches on the underside, but no matching velcro on the carpet like the front has. The mat slides around and bunches up so I decided to fix it: I bought a set of new BMW twist lock velcro adapter pads off of ebay for about $10...

Guess what happened with my 7 week old Model S this morning?

Nothing out of the ordinary! I got it, everything work properly, Autopilot did not even attempt to kill me, the battery did not burst in to flames and nothing even fell off. That is all.

The "old" leather seats are available again

I was perusing the configure page this morning and noticed that you can now configure your Model S with the old style black leather seats.

So, what is under the new center console.....

The old center console! If a person did not want the new console all they would need to do is get the old side panels, the carpet or yacht floor and the little trim bracket for the top edge.

Has anyone received a car with the rear cupholders yet?

Has anyone that has taken delivery recently gotten the rear cupholders in the console yet?

    Textile seats

Have the textile seats changed from the earlier (2013 or so) cars or is it only the leather seats that have changed? I know they are not considered "next generation" seats.
