Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

My take on these posts (and my feelings on the matter as well), is not that having additional manufacturers join the fray is is antithetical to Elon's vision, it's that it's a lame and desperate attempt for some attention while at the same time a bit of a pot-shot at Elon/Tesla. Kinda like...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

" I also dislike Elon so much than most believe I just hate him" Nothing in your post seems to provide for why this is... unfortunate you have such disdain for a guy trying to save the planet for your children.

It also appears there are sections of the tiles with slightly different colors or finish/texture. I wonder if those are different composition types they are testing, or just some variability in the tile manufacture.

In a strike of irony, the wayward Chinese rocket stage will re-enter the atmosphere, and will land square on SN15, destroying it.

MCU1: Black center screen / mcu failure caused by a faulty navigation MicroSD card

Interesting... I noticed yesterday that my map tiles seemed rather slow to update when doing a map zoom. Seeing as how my dash is still disassembled and my MCU only has a couple of screws holding it in after my eMMC swap while I decide what to do with my goo-leaking screen, maybe it's time to...

    CLPS: Commercial Lunar Payload Services

Cool article indeed... too bad the quote they use as a subheading for the article is "“You can't go to the Moon on a fixed price for under $100 million." (note the period) When in fact the full quote in the article is: It changes the meaning completely.

SLS - On the Scent of Inevitable Capitulation

Agreed, and I sincerely hope that comes to fruition... but thought it was worth pointing out the article's use of "already capable" doesn't really apply to full-blown[1] Starship.... yet. [1] Not "blown-up"... they are certainly capable of doing that at one per month ;)
  20. scaesare

SLS - On the Scent of Inevitable Capitulation

(emphasis mine) I think that article doesn't quite paint it accurately... SpaceX is currently building Starship test vehicles at about 1 a month... an amazing rate to be sure, but not a full-blown Starship with all systems and features...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I dunno.... if Tesla is on track to sell 1 million cars, and only 1/3rd by FSD at it's current $10K price, that's $3.3bil in revenue. If you take 2% of that, you get $67mil. Distributing that across 800 folks = $83K salary. My bet is the labelers make nowhere near that much, and the software...

I did. Your response: 1) Misses the fact that Jeff may indeed care about how people view SpaceX in comparison as I stated in my post. (And incidentally, you don't know what Jeff cares about, and I suspect you are wrong about somebody that driven). 2) Also misses the point that in all the...

    Kuiper Lives!

I find it interesting that immediately after admitting we don't know what transpired, the 3 scenarios you chose to postulate all paint SpaceX in a bad light (SpaceX might steal technology, Elon would somehow be oppressive, SpaceX attempted to deny service to the competition). Strange you...

But from the demand described, we need 10's to 100's of GWh's of cell production today, and Terawatt-hours of cell production tomorrow. It's an all-you can eat situation.... the output from any new cell factory is likely instantly spoken for. So I don't get how it makes sense just from a...

I've wondered this as well. 800V charging: this is all about reducing current by increasing voltage for the same power delivery. This makes components and wire sizes more manageable. This makes building chargers easier, but has almost nothing to do with how fast cells can charge. Packs built from individual 4.2v (max)...
