OK, I was thinking this was talking about the old buy the body insert the modules method from early Tesla but I think they are talking design cues https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_Esprit#/media/File:Lotus_Esprit_S1_1977_Fed.jpg

    Coronavirus

It's surely helping but I want to see this graph after school starts up in the fall. If we have these 4 humps and then a flat line for the summer and fall of 2021 or even a tiny hump in fall that would be a victory for sure.

    1. quoting my post from 2016, what I said there is true but it was 5 years ago and somehow we still don't have an open service center in Knoxville. 2. I don't change oil. All my current vehicles are EVs. In fact they are cheaper to drive per mile than any Tesla currently for sale. 3. There are...

Plants are all out of pots and in the dirt now, lobby looks finished, still no charging equipment installed for the spots that have conduit. But there was a Model S P100D parked out back with no license plate and some sort of paper in the back window (didn't look like a temp plate but might be...

    SpaceX Internet Satellite Network: Starlink

I mapped out the cell nearest me over the past few days if you are curious how big a cell is. The gap on the left is a government facility, couldn't get starlink.com to give me results for anything inside that border. I live just outside the cell (about 1 mile), so I can't get starlink yet...

I don't normally but given Elon's statement about seeing how "live" SNL really is I'm recording this OTA (using my Tablo) instead of watching streaming without ads just so I have it "as was" if they censor the rebroadcast/streaming.

I've only seen one issue with Model Y that makes it a worse choice than Model 3 (excluding the obvious price difference). I couldn't make out half of what was said, one guy kept yelling about DOGE looking for a response from Elon. Decent exchange about SNL I could understand but the first minute or so of the video was just too much chaos.

They do that on purpose, the thinking is that it reduces risk * aim for the barge and have an engine failure you blow up the barge * aim for the barge and have no issues you land OK * aim for the water near the barge and have an engine failure you don't hit the barge, you blow up in the water...

    Coronavirus

Even though the 4th wave was tiny I'm calling it 4 waves for the US. so will we get a 5th, 6th, 7th wave? It seems like every 3-6 months we get a new wave. Do we get a mid summer spike like summer 2020? Do we get a fall/winter spike like 2020? Vaccination could negate the coming spike...

We must face facts - meat is the problem

So I've tried both Beyond and Impossible from the grocery store (fried/grilled/pressed you know those kind of devices). If you mean there will be work to do yes, there will be, but "set aside reserves" lead to losses not profits and that isn't a robust business in my mind So if robust = lots of work for the dealers and lots of profit for suppliers, yep I agree. But if robust = profit for Ford somehow, then I...

    Discussion: "Powerwall +"

so how many tons is the big unit and how many tons for the small unit (or is it a mini split or window AC?)
  27. dhanson865

    Discussion: "Powerwall +"

You said AC units plural in your 2nd sentence. Is one of them lower LRA than that one that is 140? Could you just put the smaller unit on the powerwall and keep that 140 LRA unit off? FWIW my only AC unit is 61.5 LRA. That's a 3 ton 20 SEER unit.

Elon Musk to host SNL - Saturday Night Live on May 8

It'd be perfect if they do that and have him in the skits also. They often have some prerecorded skits and tossing him in on a live skit or two in the middle would fit in because most people would forget/forgive that continuity flaw. Just be sure to cut to him on the stage doing that answer as...

Elon Musk to host SNL - Saturday Night Live on May 8

TL;DR he thinks musk shouldn't host because he spouted misinformation about Covid 19 (90% of the complaint) and something he barely mentions about Elon not being LGBTQ friendly or something. No mention of * Tesla energy helping with disasters in various countries, and stabilizing the grid in...

I've heard that before but just checking the first result for "gpu mining profitability calculator" it says a NVIDIA GTX 1050 on $0.10 per kWh is profitable for BTC. Same for a AMD R9 380 on $0.10 per kWh. Those calcs are purely hash vs electricity so they don't count the cost of the GPU. But...
