    Noisy wipers

Tried the Tesla OEM blades, the Bosch night vision blades, and now the Trico Silicon blades. All fit fine. So far, the Trico are the only ones that don't skip, chatter, and leave rubber stripes on the windshield. Will let you know in a few months if the silicone blades continue to work well.

Question re. FSDb "learning" local roads

I'm sorry to report that FSD Autopilot does not learn anything. It can't, partly because it seldom knows that it has done something wrong. It is not able to even detect many nearby dangers at all. The "neural net" is only in your car. It doesn't connect to other cars or road systems. My 2018...

Opted-Out of FSD Beta, Version 2022.12.3.20

I'm sending a quick report on my 2019 Model S Autopilot's performance, software version 2022.12.3.20, after opting out of FSD Beta both by switching it off in my Settings and sending Tesla an email message. I drove about eighty miles today in moderate traffic on U.S. 101 on the Central Coast of...

Opted-Out of FSD Beta, Version 2022.12.3.20

Hi Friends. Just a quick update about a reply I received from Tesla Service about Autopilot reliability. I made a Service request on July 10,2022 asking for a check of FSD Beta and the rest of Autopilot on my 2019 Model S Dual Motor Long Range equipped with the Full Self Driving Package because...

Power Operated Headrests Fixed with 2022.4.5.21 update

Dear EVRider-FL, My 2019 Model S has the Full Self-Drive Beta installed and it is fully functional. If I behave, Tesla will not cancel my BETA participation?? Another interesting observation from a trip taken yesterday. I noticed that setting the Steering Feel to the Sport setting upsets Auto...

Power Operated Headrests Fixed with 2022.4.5.21 update

The power operated front seat headrests on my 2019 Model S are working again thanks to update 2022.4.5.21 that installed during the first week of May 2022. Thank You Tesla! Auto Pilot is not working any better or is safer. I've adopted the name Auto Crash as part of my vocabulary. On the...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Thank You! After reading your post, I'm giving serious thought to opting-out of FSD Beta. I'm too old for all the drama.

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

I'm making some completely subjective self-evaluation-based comments. Yesterday I drove our 2018 Model 3 Dual Motor to Lompoc on about 25 miles of mixed lane highway. Our Model 3 does not have the Full Self Drive Beta software but it is updated to 2021.44.30.2. Our 2019 Model S has...

    v11 Headrest adjustment?

I scheduled an at-home service with Santa Barbara Tesla for the headrest problem. They were genuinely nice and explained that we must wait for a software update to tix the problem. As of Thursday, they didn't have a time estimate for the fix. My 2019 Model S is only up to 2021.44.30.5 right...

So sorry if I put my comments in the wrong place or Thread. My sincere apologies! I'll try to do better.

Wiki FSD Beta v11.x: Anticipation & Discussion

Forgot to say that my 2019 Model S does not have an interior camera installed anywhere I have been able to locate. Our 2018 Model 3 Dual Motor has one located just above the rear-view mirror. I don't know if it works.

Wiki FSD Beta v11.x: Anticipation & Discussion

Yesterday, January 10,2022, my 2019 Model S, running the Full Self Driving Beta software with installed update 2021.44.30.5, departed at 9:15AM, with me, for the drive from Solvang to Fillmore California via Highway 101 and Highway 126. Traffic was light, the weather was beautiful, windshield...

Wiki FSD Beta v11.x: Anticipation & Discussion

If Mr. Musk was riding with me yesterday, January 8,2021 at 11AM, as my 2019 Model S with the latest Beta Full Self Driving software installed was driving itself from Lompoc California to my home in Solvang (about twenty miles), he would not charge anything for the FSD Option. The weather was...

    $12K for FSD is insane

    v11 Headrest adjustment?

I have the same problem with my 2019 Model S since the "Christmas" update. The power adjustable front seat headrests are no longer operable. I have the Beta Full Self Drive software installed on my car. I would also like to enjoy the blind spot monitoring ability that is now on the Model 3...

Anyone else dislike the new UI?

I just checked the Software Version Information in each car. My 2018 Model 3 has V.11. The software that was installed today in my 2019 Model S is FSD Beta 10.8. I wonder if there is an upcoming V.11 for the Model S?

Anyone else dislike the new UI?

Oh Boy, what a mess! My 2018 Model 3 Dual Motor FSD Update Computer got 2021.44.25.2 update a few days ago. I don't love it but it works and has many new features. My 2019 Model S Long Range with FSD & Beta FSD got 2021.44.25.6 today Dec 28,2021. Most of the improved controls are completely...

Tesla ranks 2nd worst in Consumer reports reliability survey

We have a 2018 Model 3 Dual Motor and a 2019 Model S. Both a garaged at night, have a Tesla wall charger, and a 11.3kw solar system with a Powerwall. Both cars have about 13,500 miles on them. Both bought new, delivered in Santa Barbara. Neither car has needed any repairs or service since we...

RPM Tesla Rear Skid Plate for 2018 Model 3 Dual Motor $00.00

Couple months ago, I put RPM Tesla Front and Rear Skid Plates under my 2018 Model 3 Dual Motor. Fit Great! Front nice and quiet. Rear, amplified motor noise and road noise too much for me. Purchased a new OEM Fabric cover from Tesla for rear and installed today. Nice and quiet again. I have...

    Reducing Road Noise

The area around the "tub" is very open to all the front end working parts. It's funny, the first thing I noticed was that I didn't hear any noise inside the car from the electric power steering unit. Honestly, the overall difference is not what I'd call huge. I enjoy tinkering and it was a...

    Reducing Road Noise

My Dual Motor Model 3 is fairly quite on a smooth road. My Dodge Durango is much quieter on all roads except for the engine noise. Here's a few easy steps that have made my Model 3 quieter and the effort is not costly or difficult. First, using an 80mil thick self-adhesive noise and vibration...

    No USB Music Since V.9

Could it be SanDisk flash drives? I removed all the proprietary files like vaults and back-up stuff. I could invest in a corsair voyage or sabrent. At least the drives are not expensive anymore. I'll let you know what happens.

    No USB Music Since V.9

Hi, thanks for writing. My music is organized by each Artist having a separate folder. Tomorrow, I'm going to try just copying one folder to the flash drive. If that works, I'll try two. I think I'll bring my laptop in the car along with a thermos of black coffee. This may take some time...

    No USB Music Since V.9

My new Model 3 Dual Motor would play my mp3 music files stored on a SanDisk 32 GB USB flash drive perfectly. The drive has about 14 GB of mp3 music files stored on it. It's formatted in FAT 32. Since the V.9 update, cannot listen to my music. Plugging in the drive causes the car to go into an...
