do you need an EA account to get a complementary session? I was signing up last night and don't love the idea of having to carry a balance since I don't plan to use EA when it's not free

New MYP owner - My take on ride quality.

I think thats fair and I apologize that what I wrote came across that way. I think there's a lot of posts on this forum saying it's acceptable and it's not as bad as people say it is and there's also posts where people say the suspension is really good. The later is what I'm not so sure...

    Supercharger credits disappeared?

I ordered my car on literally the last day of referrals (9/12/21) and got it on 3/22/22 so it's been 4 days for me...

New MYP owner - My take on ride quality.

To each there own, but i dunno the MYP must ride a lot better than my MYLR if what people are saying here is to be believed. I have a late model 911 and frequently get a Macan as a loaner, I think the Macan (non active suspension - low end loaner car version) is sprung much better than the MY.

    CCS Adapter - ?

ask a neighbor? can't walk down the street in palo alto w/o tripping over a tesla :)

    Supercharger credits disappeared?

sadly you are correct, look under previous referral programs: https://www.tesla.com/support/referral-program after may 2019: Miles Expiration * Free Supercharging miles can be used by any vehicles on the same account and will expire 6 months after the miles are added.

    Supercharger credits disappeared?

oh wow i just hit 6 months and my credits expired... hope its just a temp glitch as i was saving the last "300mi" for a road trip next month

Do supercharger users not care about price?

I grew up in the town nextdoor to Cupertino, and I mean that is a very affluent area and if you're going to eat dinner at main street cupertino I don't think you worry too much about supercharger cost. I'd think most people would choose where to eat and charge there if needed.

"New" Sources of Tesla 'OEM,' Tesla-like, and/or Third-Party CCS1 Adapters

Good point. As a Canadian company with no presence/sales nexus in the US they don't have to collect sales tax. Shoppers in the US are supposed to self report, and we all do that every time right ;)? EDIT: Also good news Tesla is shipping, just got my tracking number!

"New" Sources of Tesla 'OEM,' Tesla-like, and/or Third-Party CCS1 Adapters

If the price on Alibaba is like $120/130 in large quantities and then you assume the appropriate markup for shipping/support/overhead/profit/etc then they don't really have that much more room to lower the price. If telsa can keep reasonable stock I'd need much more than the current $27...

nice, was thinking about ordering the clone CCS1 and have been holding out for Tesla to release. Unclear to me why anybody would buy a 3rd party now, unless its out of stock - which I'm sure it will be soon :) Just ordered mine

Survey: is the model Y the “perfect” all around EV?

IMO needs to improve two things: (1) turn radius is horrible (2) suspension is just too stiff other things i'd like, less important: (a) vented seats (b) better AC (c) power frunk (d) Blind spot monitor in mirrors and rear x-traffic alert

Being to meticulous on the issues I found on my model y?

Interesting I thought they'd learned from Gigashanghai which was built for/by Tesla vs taking over the old NUMMI factory

Being to meticulous on the issues I found on my model y?

Ah yes the typical Tesla quality, hopefully when they retool Fremont after Austin ramps up they can improve the old legacy process.

    MY: Fun to drive?

it's provided as a frame of reference that I like and enjoy a certain type of car, and for the record the boxster which is closer to a Miata (have driven a friends spec miata on the track) than the 911 for me was more fun to drive, the 911 tho is an icon and the poster I had on the wall as a kid...

    MY: Fun to drive?

IMO no it is not, but it is not intended to be. I have the MYLR and a 991.1 911 C2S, and previously a 987.1 boxster - both are taken to the track (laguna seca, thunder hill, sonoma, button willow etc). Tesla has torque/acceleration but the driving dynamics leave something to be desired...

At Home Charging costs vs. Superchargers

Off peak TOU on EV plan is the same a supercharger off-peak and it makes peak hours much more expensive (I stay just under tier 1 right now), and I don't have a charger installed yet in my condo and knowing this I don't plan to. I understand for many people it makes sense, it just doesn't work...

At Home Charging costs vs. Superchargers

Thanks! Ok wow supercharger off peak is actually cheaper than my home electricity at the lowest tier, $0.24 vs $0.31/kWh. I even looked at EV and ToU plan and the lowest off peak is $0.24 for midnight - 7am, TOU doesn't even make sense for us since we both work from home....
