Android 12 worked fine when I upgraded last week.
Then the car upgraded to 2021.40 and my phone will connect but will not unlock when I approach the car. Walk away lock still works. Wife's phone works and has not been upgraded to Android 12. Both are Pixel 3s.
Yes. When autopilot freaks out during a lane change and I need to take control and cancel, I end up driving for more than I would like with my signal still flashing. Everybody behind me must think Tesla drivers don't know what they are doing. So far that is the worst part of the beta...
Agree on all fronts. Never thought about the chance that somebody was in the car. Makes sense.
I just love the 'speed up' tap in the car. And I also love the upgrade option from the app. Was trying to Voltron them into something even more awesome.
Hunh. That is not how it was explained to me, but bonus for those who also got one even if they didn't wait in line, I guess.
Not sure what I am supposed to be mad at. I was promised a gift and got one. Cool.
For anybody into video analysis - the dashed lines come every 40 feet (in the US anyway), so at 55 mph, you should be counting roughly 2 dashed line per second. Take the dashes per second and multiply by 27 for miles per hour. Multiply by 44 to get kilometers per hour
55 mph = 5280 * 55 / 60...
EAP never will. FSD might, but I have big doubts that the hardware in the car can pull it off. The way the surrounding cars and people are rendered gives me no comfort at all. I would rather my blind mother drove me around town.
Little bit of ice in the wiper area made the wipers stick for a bit. Hit the spray button to see if that would help. They exploded out of the wiper hidey hole at max speed.
Strange thing was that nothing I did to the wiper settings could stop them. Max speed, couldn't spray or turn them off...
This morning got the 42.4 upgrade notification on my phone so upgraded.
20 minutes or so later, checked the phone said it was done and at 42.4. It then said there was another update. Cool! Download... Install... Check... Hmmmm... 42.4 still.
20 minutes or so later, checked the phone said it...
Same failure with a brand new drive. Lasted one day.
I tried calling in the evening and it said it would be 40 minutes, so I hung up. Called in the morning when I got to work and they said 10 minutes, but it was really more like 5
Agree that it isn't a super critical issue, but if a lot of...
Same problem here. Reported to Tesla service and a ticket has been opened. If enough oither do this they will find a way to fix it.
They need to do a proper unmount when powering down. Other devices need to worry about battery backup to complete the unmount before power goes away, but...
Got in this morning and he took my details and created a ticket. Said others had reported it. Sent it to diagnostics team, and expects a response of some sort within 72 hours.
Also reported that the TeslaCam eventually stops recording and creates errors on the thumb drive (tried it on 3 so far).
Yes, maps are wonky too. Rebooted 4 times, no effect. Everything works on WiFi, no problem. After reboot, will work for a minute or so and then stop. In Ottawa, so carrier/roaming may be a clue.
Anybody report it to Tesla yet?
Same problem here, and not just slacker. TuneIn doesn't work for me either, and web page loads are very flakey. Haven't tried yet on Wifi. This started happening the night before the update rolled out and persists after the 39.7 update. Have rebooted once.
Got mine yesterday and was a great experience. The found me 15 minutes or so after my appointment. Showed me the car and got started on paperwork. It was at 51% and I wanted it to 90% for the drive back to Ottawa, so needed to wait 40 minutes for the supercharger.
Paperwork went smoothly. No...
606 miles (975 km)!
Closed track, 30 mph, no climate control. And the battery would not recharge for whatever reason.
Watson didn't seem to know what they were doing for my install. Told me I needed a new panel when nobody else did. So either they are way better than everyone else or way worse. Judging by the competence of the guy that came to do the estimate, I decided way worse, but ymmv.
Did you get any...
Okay, so now the big question is - is there anything we need to do to make sure the drive back to Ottawa is uneventful? I assume we will need to supercharge at least once? Is the payment for supercharger going to be all set up by the time we are good to leave the pickup center? What else...

I did ask if it was possible for them to put a bunch on a truck and drive it up here. He said this doable, but they would not make it up here in time for the election.
Could just be in their best interest to get people to drive down, since nobody really knows what will happen with the rebate...
Adam Sanchez must be very busy guy. Have heard nothing from him after his email. All I want is the lien holder info and an estimate delivery date. Didn't expect to be ghosted so soon.
Hey, anybody have lien holder info for financing I can give to my insurance company?
Looks like a couple 19" wheels are getting assigned? Sure, they are in Texas, but it gives me some hope!
