Falcon Wing Door Glass Seal deteriorating

You give them too much credit. Walmart stands behind their products better than Tesla.

Will it hold my garbage cans? (I miss Wagons and SUVs, not liking CUVs.)

    so... like this? https://www.harborfreight.com/500-lb-capacity-deluxe-cargo-carrier-66983.html

Will it hold my garbage cans? (I miss Wagons and SUVs, not liking CUVs.)

my wife had to made sure the dog crates would fit in her car... i guess we all have our own vehicle requirements.

Does the Model Y need this grill?

i'm the one who has to clean both cars! lol
  7. SabrToothSqrl

Does the Model Y need this grill?

It was a McDonald's fry... does that matter? BK has better fries. I just realized I think the fry is probably still there. I used to be obsessive about a clean car inside and out, but until we can dine-in again, I just give up.

POLL - Reason you got your MX

Cameron Street in Harrisburg made me sell my 3 for a X. I couldn't deal w/that road w/the suspension on the 3. (I also used to have a S).
  9. SabrToothSqrl

Falcon Wing Door Glass Seal deteriorating

How did you start this process? The trim on my wife's 3 is discolored, tesla blames us, (their standard MO). I'm thinking we need this to force their hand. Making a crappy part is one thing. Not fixing it really irks me.

What is the Difference Between Rated and Ideal Range

Rated = 50 MPH downhill. Ideal = 50 MPH downhill, wind assisted, no heat, fingers crossed.

Model X - PPF for rear area of door

I'm glad to see this for the Y, although most cars don't have this issue... anyone found this for the X? I looked online and ebay... nothing similar for the X that I could find. Same area on my X could use some. thanks https://shop.tesla.com/product/model-y-paint-protection-film

Poor quality control on the Model Y

Welcome to tesla "quality" and "service". I haven't suggest anyone buy one since service went to *sugar* in 2019.

Has anyone here decided they will sell or trade-in their Tesla for the CyberTruck?

The plan is to test drive the CT: If I like it, I buy it, selling or trading in my Model X. If I don't like it, I might buy the refreshed S or X. Haven't decided yet.

    Question: Model Y Accident Question

Double edge sword. The window is safer. Unless you need to break it. Same as for example bullet proof glass. It's safer... but a lot harder to break.

    Model 3 totaled! please advise

eSurance... Screwed by AllState I guess. And we had (and still have) every coverage MAXED and full tort. Other party was 100% at fault, but I guess if you're a piece of $hit with no insurance, you get off easy when you rear-end someone, destroy their car and cause the person pain for months after.

    Question: Model Y Accident Question

I did not know that, is it in the manual or any vids? thanks
  19. SabrToothSqrl

    Question: Model Y Accident Question

same as any car. side/rear glass is designed to break into tiny pieces that won't slice you. Small sharp object. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=how+to+smash+car+window#kpvalbx=_ALyEYJnZAZjWtAaRhZCgCQ29

I traded my Tesla Model S for a RAV4 Prime

Only 5-6 service visits/year? damn my 2013 S was in the shop AT LEAST once a month. My god do i miss being able to call a dealer and get a human with 1/2 a brain to review an issue and setup a date/time to correct it instead of passive aggressive condescending texts from a 12 year old. I'm...

Does the Model Y need this grill?

shop vac. the real story is the beating my wife gave me because I was the one who had skittles in her car... and the rattle was driving her nuts.
  26. SabrToothSqrl

Does the Model Y need this grill?

    it was a green skittle.
  27. SabrToothSqrl

Does the Model Y need this grill?

Horrible sliding and rattle noise around turns in my wife's 3... took weeks to trace it to a single skittle in this stupidly designed vent. Again, Tesla builds cars like a 15yr old would build them on a computer screen with zero real world knowledge.
  28. SabrToothSqrl

Where are refreshed S and X?

All refreshed models employ the new invisibility shield... but if you look carefully... you can see them.

    Multiple screen lines

for reasons I can't fathom (because producing 2 parts seems like more of a hassle when one part will do just fine)... the 3/Y have cheap backup cameras. The S/X ones are much clearer... You'd certainly think they'd be able to just standardize the camera across the cars... but I don't build cars...

    Auto Windshield Wipers

the ones in my X are useless. Model 3 does better. My 2009 Tahoe auto wipers had all Tesla's beat by a mile. I think my 2013 Model S ones were good, but that used a $2 sensor that Tesla thought skipping was a good idea...

Model X Refresh Lease vs. Purchase

ALL used car prices are crazy atm... I traded in a 2012 Rubicon in 2015 for my first Model S... for $26k. SAME Jeep, today, online... 2012-14ish... ready.... $26k. (Cuz that was my 3rd Jeep and I really miss my Jeeps, so I keep looking) Apparently, had I not sold it back in 2015... it would...

Model X Refresh Lease vs. Purchase

Well, I've sold 2 privately now, and know what I paid and what they sold for, and how much hassle I incurred.... so... that's nice?

Car manufacturers with worse service than Tesla

Every interaction I've had after 2018 has been blood boiling. I loathe dealing w/them. Where's that worst company chart that some site always does? I'd like to see Tesla customer service vs. comcast. I think comcast may just be dethroned...

Condo Charging........ What should I do. Move?

$16k goes a long way to buying a house. and unlike this install, you'd most likely get most of that back when you sell it someday.

    Cybertruck charging

people, people... please... i have the answer. calm down :). Boat's have been doing this for decades, as well as large trucks! Two fuel filler caps! Thus, TWO CHARGING PORTS on the truck. You park this behemoth between two available super chargers (or just grab a tow strap and drag any ICE...

Mach-E road trip becomes a charging fiasco...

and of course I mean charge and travel... which is kinda the whole point of a car. If someone else can match the supercharger network.. (and I hope they do) that would be... just... super. Or we just standardize on the super chargers already. that (non-tesla) plug looks huge and unwieldy. and...

Mach-E road trip becomes a charging fiasco...

this is why no matter how good {electric car that's not a tesla} is... it's irrelevant. (sadly). because it can't... car.

What is the advantage of Yoke steering?

I think the shifter is a bigger concern, it already takes old people an hour to get out of a parking space, now you'll have to play snake with the dash before it lets you go into reverse. then play snake again, then forward, then play snake again, then back, repeat. clearly none of these 15...

What is the advantage of Yoke steering?

more hits = more free advertising. drive-ability be damned.

Which would you choose Model S or Y?

Model S. I've had all S3X, and S was my fav. Y has similar suspension to the 3, and thus, I'd get an S. However if the Y had air suspension... it would be harder to pick.
