Model 3 Zero-G Referral Wheels, Tires and Center caps

I don't think the weight is a clear cut indication of manufacturing technique, but reading other threads it is possible that, while not cast, these wheels may be "flow forged" or "flow formed".

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

The default is DHCP, as long as your router supports it, there is no need to add an IP.

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

You can flip back and forth but if you stay on LAN, you will get some automated emails from Tesla. If you keep the zigbee gateways powered on and connected to the internet it will be one type of email with subject :"Your System Lost Contact With Your Monitoring Device" asking you to restart your...

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

In my case (which may be different from Olly's experience), the zigbee gateway will reconnect to the internet but the inverter will not send any data to it if you have switched the communication server to LAN. In my setup, with Solarcity zigbee x2e (the white one) and a powerwall, the Tesla app...

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

you need to enter the menu by keeping the button pressed for a few seconds. A quick click moves through the menu list and a long press activates the option. Look for communication and the LAN. When done look for Exit to get out.

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

I have left the zigbee antenna connected but I had to switch the communication method to LAN. You cannot have data going to both at the same time.

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

Anyone been able to get access to create a 'layout' in the Solaredge app? I can see panel level metrics but I don't have access to create a layout. So it's a pain to see exactly which panels are being shaded. I'm stuck in the middle since Tesla won't help create a layout, nor will they provide...

    Heating turns itself on?

Same thing happened to me for three nights in a row. I only found out because the official app showed a notification stating that the heating was turned off after 4 hours. Vendor Dashboard for Tesla - the better app for your Tesla

Gotcha, I was hoping @SG57 would eventually come up with a schedule for heating/cooling and work out the draw into the smart charging so they both accurately complete. On a side note, I never thought about charging at a lower rate in summer I guess because I only have 40A. Do you really see...

Vendor Dashboard for Tesla - the better app for your Tesla

Good point on the preconditioning. During testing we found out it's aptly flagged as beta as it is not really starting at the correct time (much earlier). @SG57 already has something in the hopper to deal with "proper" preconditioning. Having said that, I can choose to schedule my ending charge...

Vendor Dashboard for Tesla - the better app for your Tesla

It seems to me that while the consensus is that ending 15 min early is OK, people also agree they can always change the desired finish 10 minutes ahead. In other words users can easily control and adjust the desired finish time as long as there is some consistency in the charge. As such, I think...

@robz I hope to see you on the NJ Tesla Owners google group. As far as the unusual charging pattern I defer to @SG57 for comments because I have not see anything like it happening in over a month

Vendor Dashboard for Tesla - the better app for your Tesla

For those of you who'd rather get a notification only when not plugged in, I suppose it would be easy to add a checkbox. What do you think @SG57 ?

That is strange as there several protections to prevent overshooting the desired time. What are your setting? Did you manually set the mph?

Vendor Dashboard for Tesla - the better app for your Tesla

No worries on the graph, be my guest. @Andyw2100 Indeed you get a notification either way, the idea being that if you don't receive a notification you don't know if the car is really plugged in. Also, since a working internet connection between the car your phone/tablet and the tesla servers is...

Maybe irrelevant at this point since an update is coming, but if you open the notification, it will actually say "plugged in".

    Replace side mirror glass myself?

Thank you! I cannot believe that my service center told me it wasn't possible to get just the glass. I guess I'll buy the part and have a spare mirror.
  35. agw

Vendor Dashboard for Tesla - the better app for your Tesla

I agree. There should be a clear distinction on whether a firmware is available in general or on my specific vehicle. I surely like the information but it could be tucked away in a less prominent spot, reserving the one it is on now for the actual firmware availability for the specific car.

    Replace side mirror glass myself?

I had the same encounter about a week ago but I was told that I had to replace the entire side mirror, just the glass was not possible. The three parts were: the mirror assembly, the harness and the skull cap (which alone is $107). Did you really get just the mirror? Mine is a classic 85 with...

I hear you, I did too!! Until I pressed the sunroof and it opened up while it was raining :( That is when I changed my mind but I don't want to be a drag so let the community and, most importantly, SG57 decide.

Vendor Dashboard for Tesla - the better app for your Tesla

@SG57 one quick note on possibly adding a confirmation prompt for certain actions like opening the sunroof or unlocking the car. I accidentally did that while toying with app and it was raining....then the app was returning an error "invalid state" so I went to the official app to close the...

Vendor Dashboard for Tesla - the better app for your Tesla

On second thought, the off peak time definition may be superfluous in the very simple and most common case where one simply wants the car to be ready at the very last minute. All you'd need to do is to set it for the end of the Off Peak period. Knowing when Off Peak starts would only be useful...

Good point here on pampering the battery by keeping it well below 90% That could be another reason for anyone to use that feature. Good news here...car was in service and they had turned Remote Access OFF. However a good opportunity to trap the generic server error and instead display what the...
