    Will CyberTruck be 1000V architecture?

What about the plug? If the battery in CT is 1000v, there will have to be a buck power supply inside to boost the current V2,V3 supercharger voltage up. But what about the plug? I was seeing that the tesla plug was good for 1000amps (or was it 900amps), so 1000amps @ 1000v is 1MW charging...

Supercharger - Charleston, SC (West Ashley)

Many people using the N Chs super charger are locals. I suspect there's a lot of people in west ashley that live in condos without access to home charging. This will take some demand pressure off the N Chs SuC.

    North American Charging Standard.

But does the wording of the public charger funding permit autocycles to count towards the "must charge two brands". If I were Musk, I'd be helping aptera in any way I could.

Anyone planning to color wrap your CT?

I'm sure someone will do this....
  6. ai4px

    North American Charging Standard.

THe magic will happen when the first Aptera is sold. At that point, the supercharger network will fulfill the requirement of public charging by charging "more than one brand of car". The question I suppose is does aptera count as a "car" or "motorcycle" or "vehicle"?

    Broken headlight adjuster?

    Broken headlight adjuster?

We have a 2018 p100d and when we got it the headlights were pointed pretty far down. So now that daylight savings time has hit, I decided to raise them. The passenger side moved up without a hitch, but the drivers side went up almost as high as the passenger side and then popped and fell...

just for lolz.... my sister lives in Richmond hill. I dunno if my bro in law was driving or one of my sister's kids... we share vehicles on the app... so I get a low charge alert on my sisters model x and see she has 16 miles left and the car is driving toward that pooler supercharger... ohhhh...

Supercharger - North Myrtle Beach, SC

Yes,but look at Charleston... lots of apt dwellers who flock to the one super charger. My daughter would love to have my M3 but she has no place to charge at her apartment. I expect that there are a lot of apt and condo dwellers in MYB who will easily justify this 2nd supercharger.

Thanks for hte suggestions.... user profile was the first thing tesla ranger went after. I can delete the home location and start fresh just to be sure. Also, there are no third party apps given access to any of our cars.... wait a minute.... let me check that. I think my wife had something...

    5amp charge setting

If I manually tell it to start charging it will charge at 32amps. But the 5amp setting is interfering with the scheduled charging because it can't calculate a start time. This is how we first discovered it.... it didn't charge for 3 successive days.

GFCI Breaker is Code for EV Charging

The EVSE does it's own GFCI test. The *only* risk to you is plugging something in to the 14-50 and slipping your fingers around the plug to the blades. 14-50 plugs are not intended for daily plug cycles, so plug it in and forget about it.

New to Tesla - lost 5% in 9 miles

It is not uncommon for the car to use lots more power in the first mile or two of a trip. Take note of this when you depart on a road trip. The car may schedule you for a supercharging session initially as you roll out the driveway only to have it tell you to skip that supercharger after 25...

    5amp charge setting

I'm at wits end. My 2020 MY charges at 32amps and when done later in the evening shows 5amps charge available. 5amps is NOT permitted under the J1772 standard, so this throws up a red flag to me. Here are some details.... 0) if we program the car to charge as soon as it is plugged in, it will...

Pentalobe screws in front license plate bracket

New Low For EV Bashing Media

Don't cha love journalists? They lay out the stones on a path and lead you right down it. If only the public knew differently. Keep in mind that the general public is familiar with the get gas when the car is empty model. So twice a week they stop at this thing called a gas station on their...

When Did the Tesla Hate Begin?

Different tone in this email.... didn't want to combine these two vibes... Tesla hate from Tesla owners.... when we had only the MS, service was amazing. We have a 3 and a Y now and they can't seem to figure things out. It's comical but also a PITA. The MY keeps reverting to showing 5A on the...

When Did the Tesla Hate Begin?

I assume you mean Tesla hate from other sources... What I've noticed of late is Elon hate. I think it's just a continuation of the Tesla hate that the media (paid shills) propagate. It has become obvious that Tesla is not going bankrupt, so they changed strategy by claiming that every new car...

    2018 MS usb in glovebox?

I have worn out a couple of USB sticks in my M3... SD cards are kinda subject to corruption (from my raspi PI days).... so I just run a SSD in a 2.5" HDD enclosure... it's been fool proof for 2 years now.

I drove past on the interstate two days ago and didn't see any from the highway. I suspect they will be on the south end of the parking lot, not sure. Tried to drive in there a few months ago and it was all roped off so I left well enough alone.

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

Say what????? no UMC with new cars? On a side note, Kia is not including a charger with their EV6. You have to the car for 45 days and then apply for the "free gift" of a charger. A co-worker was looking at buying one and walked out based on that one simple thing. The salesman never told...

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

The issue is plug cycles. A normal duty wall plug might be tested for say, 100 plug in cycles. The j1772 and tesla plugs are good for 10,000 plug in cycles. If you leave the umc plugged in all the time you are fine. But if you unplug it every day or a couple times a week youlll soon have problems.

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

My wife’s favorite part is telling other women (I’m not a biologist but I know what women are) that she doesn’t have to stand in the cold pumping gas because the car is full every day.

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

This seems like a good idea, but in reality it's not. One of the features of the mobile connector is that it uses temperature sensor to keep tabs on that 14-50 plug getting hot. The wall mounted HPWC using an extension cord like that won't do the same. If the plug comes loose or gets corroded...

Quality at home charging, are charge ports really needed to be installed at home?

You'll really want to get a GEN 2 UMC (mobile charger) from Tesla. Otherwise you have to use the J1772 adapter and you're mising out on being able to push the button on the charger handle to open the charge port. Also, you can get an adapter to use a 240v 20amp plug (we used to call these air...

    Supercharger - Orangeburg, SC

I'm surprised it has taken gas stations this long to figure it out. Gas stations don't make (much) money on the actual sale of gas. They get you on sodas and lotto scratchers. So an EV charger means they have the same likelihood of profit as from gas but customers who are inside the store...
