    P90DL battery replacement thread.

I was very lucky when mine was done as some more experienced techs from the factory did the upgrade…. Was done in 24 hours, In contrast I know someone else that did the upgrade 90>100 and it took the normal service center staff over a week to get it back to them. What I gather from that is...

    P90DL battery replacement thread.

85-100 is Not by Tesla…it’s by a 3rd party. My p90d>P100D upgrade by Tesla involved new front seats, a new sunroof controller and a new wireing harnesses as I recall amongst other items…

    Exterior Color...Logic / Feedback

Unknown, I did not put PPF over the camera. However I did put PPF on the headlights and fog lights to protect them from rock chips and have had no issues with that... it might work on the cameras as well but id say don't risk it as you don't want anything throwing off the cameras

TeslaWaze updates (was: TeslaWaze is Done!)

Another tip for you guys... when you scroll wheel reset / reboot the center display, Don't let go until you see the T logo on the display. Multiple systems need to restart and if you let go before you see the T logo on the center display not everything has restarted.

TeslaWaze updates (was: TeslaWaze is Done!)

As it was mentioned above try navigating to the site again directly. Don't refresh whats currently on your browser or use your old bookmarks for the site, as that is likely causing the issue.

Sometimes unable to remove charger from port in car

I believe the real requirement / trigger here is that the car has to be unlocked to be able to remove the cable.

    Handling during hard acceleration

might want to check your alignment.... also mention what your feeling to the alignment guy or service center, assuming they are good at their job they can probably fix what your feeling

    "Air Conditioning Reduced" message

Shout out to the Tesla Mobile Service(Tyson's)

Just to update, Airbag was replaced via Mobile Service last week, took about 30 minutes and NO SOFTWARE UPDATE, I didn't even see his laptop once! Job entailed removing interior pieces to gain access to passenger airbag, replacing the airbag and re installing the interior pieces..

    "Air Conditioning Reduced" message

Thats incorrect this alert isn't JUST for broken louvers....o_O On my car they replaced most of the internal ac system before finding a burnt / damaged wiring harness which was the true cause.... Not one line item on my invoice is for defective louvers... sure its one of many things that...

Does Airbag Recall / Replacement require software update?

Like the subject says.... Does Airbag Recall / Replacement require software update? I've been holding on to 8.1 and would rather not be forced to 9.0 Hoping someone who's had this replacement done can answer this question from their experience...

Shout out to the Tesla Mobile Service(Tyson's)

@Nepats Question, did the airbag recall and replacement require a software update... AKA did they update your software as part of the replacement? Thanks

Yes it’s very dangerous to take summer tires in cold temperatures Here’s a quote from this tire rack article https://m.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=273 Summer performance tires feature tread compounds engineered to provide traction in warm to hot ambient temperatures. They...

For those of you with a ceramic coating...

First you should understand that ceramic is a thin coating and it will do absolutely nothing for rock chips. You need to apply material like Paint Protective Film aka clear bra or vinyl wrap to protect against rock chips... Ceramic purpose is to make the car easier to clean because dirt can't...

Max Battery Power Missing - Firmware 2019.8.3

Max Battery Power Missing - Firmware 2019.8.3

its not fixed till we confirm its fixed service center reps don't know jack ... every update " might" fix it they do not know because the updates don't really say what changed.... as I said previously id bet it will be a while till this gets fixed. PLUS we haven't had anyone really come...

Max Battery Power Missing - Firmware 2019.8.3

That’s concerning, my P100D on old 8.1 firmware runs 10.7 1/4 mile for multiple runs at the drag strip without recharge.... That’s what ludicrous plus mode actually looks like on a p100d. It’s a feature that only the p100d have...

    "Air Conditioning Reduced" message

Yep it will return on a hot day or at a supercharger! You definitely want to get it fixed as the ac is required to keep the battery cool at all times. They will likely have to do a fair amount of trouble shooting to solve it but once it’s done you should be good for even the hottest day!
  40. Tech_Guy

Max Battery Power Missing - Firmware 2019.8.3

Yah right, hopefully I’m wrong but it will probably be another month at the soonest more likely 4-6 months till this is fixed given past experience...

  42. Tech_Guy

Max Battery Power Missing - Firmware 2019.8.3

I don’t see why AP version would change the effects... Tesla sold p100d with ap1 for a short time before ap2 came out but the performance of the 2 are the same.
