I own a 2022 MS and 2021 MYP. The MS is significantly quieter and smoother particularly at highway speeds. Of course air suspension helps with ride quality, but the MS feels like a solid luxury car after being in the MY.

These are a slightly revised version that started appearing on cars delivered in the last month or so. Wonder if they are lighter now? Would you be able to weight them by chance, if lighter I may be interested.

Maybe Elon is fighting with NHTSA, wanting to do away with the model year designator.

But that was an amendment for "new car line" (read the cover letter). The first filing for 2020 MY was in July 2019.

Interesting. Agreed - and as of 2 days ago they were still using MF - on model y's anyway.

Seems suspicious tho: I don't recall Tesla ever resetting numbering on new model years. I could be in denial since I just got my VIN after waiting 10 months and it's a MF.

Can you confirm your MVPA document shows a 2022 ? If so, I'm declining my delivery on Saturday and will wait.

No change but I figured mine would change today since I’m now within my EDD (again) of October 08 to 20. The last few times I reached the beginning of my date range it moved.

I think you are likely the only one with an accurate date.

For what it's worth, I visited NHTSA Decoder put in a VIN of my 2021 Model Y, changed the year to 2022 (M to N), changed the check digit and it shows as a valid VIN.

I would schedule something tentatively, then change it later if need be. Can I ask what the first 4 of the last 8 characters of the VIN are?

In November 2019 I took delivery of a 2020 vin Model X, built in October. In my recollection that was the first year they did that. Previously, the switchover on the VIN was Jan 1.

Appreciate the update, that's my delivery center - my current EDD is Sept 27-30, but I guess mine isn't in that batch of cars. Most likely October.

Stock height, or lower? I have the same model and wheels, looking for lower than stock without compromising ride comfort.

There is a Flo charger in Milk River (between Shelby and Lethbridge) which gives a faster charge if you have a CHAdeMO adapter. But yes, agreed can't wait for Shelby to have a supercharger.

My Sept 17-30 EDD changed once from Sept 16-30. SA says his internal system indicates sometime in Oct.

I had a similar experience. I stopped by the showroom yesterday, I mentioned my dashboard is showing Sept 17-30. The SA offered to check his internal system and it apparently indicates October.

This has to be a glitch.

This 100%. Just returned from a 3000 km road trip across the prairies of Canada with my June 2021 build MYP no radar, car was comfortable, supercharging experience was top notch, but dammit that phantom braking was ridiculous. It even activated sometimes with no other objects around and flat...

Update- I sent a new message to that address and received a reply within 48 hours that they will send a replacement shortly. My first 3 emails that I sent were a reply to the order confirmation email, perhaps those just go to their junk folder.

Last year the VIN year production switchover was around October 1.

Clearly they are ignoring me then, that’s the address I’ve been using as well. 🤷‍♂️

Did you ever get ahold of someone? I placed an order over a month ago, the fedex tracking indicates the package hasn’t been received yet. I’ve sent 4 emails and request on the Tesla website. No acknowledgment they received my email. No phone number anywhere to call. It’s frustrating.

I ended up following this video and cutting off a few clips - the cover is much easier to remove now and doesn't fall off (even during spirited driving). If the remainder of the clips eventually break off, i'll just replace the cover.
