That was posted on Facebook 3 days ago. The permit said 4 weeks, but I doubt they get it done that fast because of what the weather has been like.

Yup, there was a permit in 2018, another in 2021 listed as Mandeville, LA even though it was the same location. And now we have this one from a few days ago. It’s kinda crazy how many Superchargers have opened in the area during that time.

It’s been there. It was added with Nachitoches, Baton Rouge 2, and Covington in the last round of map updates. I sent my cousin in Shreveport a text when I saw it on Feb 3rd.

Hurricanes Laura and Delta really devestated this area. Iowa didn’t get a direct hit, but it was on the stronger side of the storm. Maybe the Supercharger can help bring interest back to that little shopping center.

I know several people who have driven from Baton Rouge to Metairie to have tint and wraps done at Proven Automotive Concepts for their Teslas.

December build 2016 with 93k miles no door handle replacements so far.

All were working the last time I went to this location a few weeks ago. Haven't had any issues at this location since most of them were down in 2019.

I noticed the same thing in Covington on Sunday. Small red flags in the grass along Stirling Blvd near the intersection at E Brewster.

Possible good news after the updated timeline on their site. They now have a dig permit on OCC. Hopefully this charger and Mandeville are done in conjunction...

Tesla’s site now shows Q1 2022 for this location. It showed Q2 2021 in January. Hopefully this one doesn’t get pushed back every year like the New Orleans Supercharger has for the last ~6 years.

Good access to the causeway, and can take some strain off the BR Supercharger. It’s a Stirling Properties location, they also mange the shopping center that has the Slidell and Lafayette Superchargers, so hopefully it goes through this time. They submitted a ticket for this location a few years...

Recently people have been taking delivery in Tennessee or Georgia because of the Temporary tag issue. It’s either that or finance through a bank or credit Union that can issue temporary tag since Tesla isn’t allowed to do it here.

Frank’s Accurate Body Shop in Slidell is certified to work on Tesla’s. A lot of members in the Louisiana Facebook group have had custom work done at Proven Automotive Concepts in Metairie.

That area doesn’t make much sense for a Supercharger. They have had one planned for New Orleans since Supercharging was a thing. My bet would be a Supercharger at Lakeside Shopping Center or Clearview. That would make it a lot easier to drive north towards McComb. It would also be nice to have a...

If you want to charge in New Orleans, I recommend going to Rouses on Baronne St. they have a free Chademo Charger and they have an adapter at the customer service desk.

They were working on it when I passed by today.

Well something about the Model 3’s battery allows it to charge a lot faster than a S or X. I think that’s all people really want. If they could get it to fit in an 18650, nobody would care if the cells were different.
