The 100kwh battery idea is exactly what Kyle Connor from Out of Spec said as well. He believes the majority of most EV's going forward will have 100kwh or less batteries and 800v architecture to maximize charging speeds without the added weight and expense of more lithium to the vehicles.

I tend to agree. I bought my 2015 Model S in 2019 and it was 42% depreciated from its original MSRP, even with low miles. So the depreciation curve was normal before covid even with Tesla.

No argument here on that point. The buyer is stupid if he/she paid $15k and assumed they would get it that service without reading the fine print. But in the end, that buyer is better off parking that $15k in a money market fund until FSD is released from beta into production.

Same here. I had a 13 year old Lexus LS430 that was well out of the warranty period. I had an expensive A/C repair job that lasted 2 weeks and Lexus gave me a brand new loaner NX for the entire time, no questions asked or rental rates. No excuse for Tesla on this.

I've got a 2015 Model S (AP1) as well and can attest how reliable it is. The only rare times I get the alerts are when driving under highway overpasses and someone hovering in between lanes too long. The overpasses just make the car alert and say grab the wheel but they don't slam on the brakes...
