Parametric eq would be the best option IMO.

    Spotify issue

Bad internet connection? Switching to another source forces Tesla to initiate new connection otherwise it's waiting for connection timeout. Usually happens to me after I drive away from my garage and loose WiFi connection.

Tesla removing some automatic window features to comply with NHTSA regulations

That's what Teslascope said when they announced this new regulation:

Tesla removing some automatic window features to comply with NHTSA regulations

Tesla meets all current regulation. NHTSA used to allow to close windows with pressure monitoring sensors but they want more protections now. It will apply to all manufactures, not just Tesla.

Tesla removing some automatic window features to comply with NHTSA regulations

It's not how I understood it. NHTSA requires driver to start the vehicle or put it in accessory mode before operating windows. Tesla doesn't have start button so instead you need to press the brakes. Then driver can operate windows as many time as he needs without pressing the brakes again until...

Tesla removing some automatic window features to comply with NHTSA regulations

It's a mandate change by NHTSA. I wouldn't be surprised if they push this update over LTE.

Model Y Performance Track Mode has arrived as a Holiday Software Update: As seen on twitter!!!!!

I think you refer to "Off-Road Assist" option, not Track mode. Off-Road assist engages front motor to help with traction at the expense of energy efficiency. It's not really "snow mode" but may help with traction on slippery surface. "Off-Road Assist is designed to provide overall improvements...

    Regenerative braking on icy roads

The point is not to allow complete wheel lockups. Rotational speed of the wheel is zero when it stops turning. It was reported by few people who did tests on youtube as very helpful and it does make sense to me. I'm planning to try it once we get ice/snow conditions in my area.

    Regenerative braking on icy roads

Did you try to change stopping mode from Hold to Roll? In theory it should help to prevent wheels lockup on ice.

Just came back from the drive. Auto blinkers worked perfect!

Model Y Performance Track Mode has arrived as a Holiday Software Update: As seen on twitter!!!!!

You are missing the point. It's not for straight line acceleration but to change handling in turns anyway you like. It allows you to optimize balance to get the best time on track, improve car handling in tricky conditions or to have fun and do donuts.

Model Y Performance Track Mode has arrived as a Holiday Software Update: As seen on twitter!!!!!

Wow, this version was released few hours ago. Only 6 installs so far.

    Not charging in cold?

It's fine. All available power is used to heat up the battery to prep for charging. Since you are using 120v 15A it may take a while.

Model Y Performance Track Mode has arrived as a Holiday Software Update: As seen on twitter!!!!!

I did some grocery shopping. On the way back I have enabled Track mode (70 rear 30 front 0 stability control). Regular driving, nothing crazy. It's only 3 miles of local roads drive and hard to feel any difference besides the fact that I needed to use brakes to stop (roll setting). The...

    2022.44.25

Yes, it does. But it always says no updates available. At least for me. That wasn't the point. The car checks for an update every 24 hours but it appears that updates are pushed from Tesla to the car at any point in time, whenever Tesla schedules it.

I usually get update sooner than most but not this time. Still waiting. Since it's a Christmas update, does it mean I'm being punished for bad behavior this year? 😭

If it's not a fluke it will likely get fixed soon. This is v1 of Apple Music release by Tesla. They often roll an updated version after bugs are identified.

Holiday update? what can we expect?

My model Y (no FSD) doesn't turn off blinkers after the lane change. Do you have FSD?

Warning alerts on screen need to be audible and remain on the screen longer.

It would be nice to have an option for the car to simply read the alerts (text-to-speech). When I hear alert beep I look around for potential danger and don't feel it's safe to read the screen. Just my opinion.

    Not Quite Square Setup

I didn't measure but to my eyes MYP has a slight cheetah stance with staggered setup. I'm pretty sure they lowered front and rear suspension equally. Many people used the same size tires on all 4 corners and the car looks flat.
  33. buddhafree

    Not Quite Square Setup

I think staggered vs not-stagerred won't have meaningful affect on overall clearance since the front will be the limiting factor. You could get 50 profile instead of 45 to raise the car 1/2 inch. https://tiresize.com/calculator/
  34. buddhafree

    Not Quite Square Setup

I don't see how staggered tire configuration can cause you any problems since it is pretty much default setup for MYP just on a smaller wheels.

How different is the new Comfort Suspension (October 22 -) to the previous gen (prior to Oct 22 change)?

Likely. It would be nice if Car and Driver tests new suspension version so we have hard numbers to compare.

2021 model Y performance vs long range?

Differences between MYP and MYLR - Rear motor - Brakes - Suspension - Headlights (some MYLR receive MYP headlights for now. Parts shortage.) - Wheels and tires - Rear spoiler - 0-60, max speed limit, ground clearance 2021 vs 2022. The biggest differences IMO are new Ryzen chip and new Li-Ion...

Tesla replacing ultrasonic sensors with Tesla Vision

Agree with you on everything, but his example about parking curb made me curious. At present time I see no evidence that Tesla has object memory like humans do. We find something of interest and then monitor it's shape and position to have better understanding of the object nature, direction...

Tesla replacing ultrasonic sensors with Tesla Vision

It looks like the same shortage affected other automakers as well. Some manufactures (like Ford) are reducing price and offering retrofit at a later date while others don't offer any compensation. https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/lack-of-active-park-assist.17598/...

New MYP owner - My take on ride quality.

People have different tastes. Some like soft cushy ride while others prioritize performance handling. I found it strange that some people can't accept a simple truth that others may like something they don't.

    Model Y Performance vs. GV60...Drag!

Just to compare stats I combined test results for GV60 Performance and MYP from Car and Driver: Acceleration numbers are very close. GV60 is faster bellow 30mph and Tesla is faster above 30-40mph. Tesla has way better roadholding and braking results. GV60 has softer, more comfortable but less...
