Falcon Wing Door Glass Seal deteriorating

Good to know... I'm down in Canyon Lake and usually get mine serviced at the San Antonio center. If I am unable to get it under warranty there, then I may take it up to Austin and get their opinion.

Falcon Wing Door Glass Seal deteriorating

I have an appointment at my service center for this in a little over a weeks time. No word yet if it’s being covered under warranty or not. Bought the X used from Tesla two weeks ago. Still haven’t received the initial write up from service for the work to be approved.

    Slacker radio: song skips MCU2

This was happening on my 2016 Model S after the MCU2 upgrade. Talked with Tesla about it and they said to submit a bug report each time it happened and to call them back. Sold the car before calling them back so I never got a solution. Hopefully it gets fixed in a future software update.

New (to us) Model X! Question regarding FWD door seals

Hey y'all! We did a thing last week. We finally made the decision to upgrade from our 2016 refresh Model S 75 with AP1. We picked up a 2018 Model X 100D from Tesla. I do have a question for the forums though, upon delivery, we noticed that the FWD door seals on the exterior have...

    Any experience with car shows?

Pre-Covid I regularly attended Cars and Coffee at Circuit of the Americas in Austin. It was a huge gathering and there would be anywhere from 10-20 Tesla's show up for each one. I enjoyed it a lot and had fun talking to people that had questions. I've done a couple of local shows in Canyon...

Looks like you scraped something hard enough that it did some damage. I'd get that checked out ASAP.

    AP1 ONLY Please -- life after 2018.50.6

I've got an AP1 car that was just upgraded to MCU2 and I'm now running 2021.4.10.1. When I brought it in with MCU1, I was on 2020.48.37.1.

    AP 1 removed feature?

Here you go! I just got the infotainment upgrade completed this week. Prior to the upgrade, I was still on the same software that you are running and at that time, I still was able to auto lane change while AP1 was turned on.

No change for me either. Just crossed 67k miles. 100% charge is 231 miles.

    2016 Model S 75

I've got a 2016 Model S 75 that I bought used from Tesla. Not knowing what the previous owners habits were, it's hard for me to say what is normal and not normal. I can say though that my car has 63k miles on it and my 100% charge is 231 miles. I rarely charge it over 85% and rarely if ever...

2016 Next Gen seats vs. 2017 Model X seats

Hey y'all! I currently own a 2016 Model S with the next generation seats. We're looking at trading our 2016 Model S with the next generation seats on a Model X and there's one that's used that I've got my eye on. Tesla let us spend a day with a new 2020 Model X and it convinced us that...

    AC Works, Mostly

Today the temperature in my area was fluctuating between 102 and 105 and I drove around 300 total miles with some charging in between and my car did the same thing. I have had a couple of days like this during my ownership of the car and the same thing has happened. My service center told me...

2016 Model S Battery Degradation Question

Welcome and congrats! I’ve got a July build 2016 MS 75. I bought mine used from Tesla our Augusta of 2019 and it had 40k miles on it. When I took delivery, it charged to 231 at full charge. Now I have 60k miles on it and it charges to 232 at 100%. My daily charge is always set to...

    AP1 ONLY Please -- life after 2018.50.6

    The $150- Rattle Frustration

I'm OCD about noises as well. I bought my S75 back in August and it was a rattle box. Apart from several other warranty issues and delivery issues, the first couple of times I had it at the service center, they addressed some noises for me. I couldn't really tell if they fixed the noises...

    Headlights

I just had to adjust my headlights as both were aimed way too low after being replaced under warranty. The service center forgot to aim them. My car is a facelift car though so I have the newer headlights. I’d imagine the OG style of lights can be adjusted. It was incredibly easy to do.

Used 2017 Model S being sold as 75 but pictures say 60?

Hey there! I bought a used Model S 75 back in August that was originally a software-locked 60. The car was delivered to me without a badge on the trunk identifying its capacity and I’ve kept it that way being I prefer the look. My car has 55k miles on it now and a full charge still gets me a...

I Want To Hire Someone to De-Noise my Model S Interior

I just had this done at the San Antonio service center and they effectively stopped all noises and rattles in the car. Now the only remaining noise is from my 3 year olds car seat. I bought it used from Tesla back in August and they did all the work under warranty.

My car is in for several warranty items right now, including fixing the yellow border on my MCU. They are also addressing the squeaks and rattles in my car. I bought it used from Tesla with 45k miles on it back in August. They are taking care of the squeaks and rattles for me. I took a ride...

Out of curiosity, what do you hate about your Tesla?

I'm surprised in all of these posts that no one has mentioned the cupholder locations. I'm lucky to have the center console in my Model S, but I'm still disappointed every time my wife bangs her elbow on one of our tumblers when it's in the higher cupholder. Also... the glare that my wife...

Weird noise fron rear left wheel, bad wheel bearing??

I just had my front drivers side wheel bearing replaced for what sounds like the same problem you’re having. I had a tech drive my car and I rode with him (due to having a napping toddler in the back seat) to diagnose the issue. He lightly swerved and the noise went away with the shift in...

Thank you! I've got all the faith in the world that I'm going to love this vehicle. I've been researching and reading on it non-stop since putting the deposit down on Friday. It's going to be a long couple of weeks while I wait for delivery, but it is no where near as long as so many people...

    Just bought a 2016 Model S 75

Hey Everyone! I'm so happy that I can finally say that I'm getting a Tesla. Originally, I had a deposit down on the new de-bundled Performance Model 3, but saner heads prevailed... aka my wife. We've got a 2 year old and have plans for more in the future so we decided to go for a used Model...
