That is quite the odd install for sure. I think striping the ground where EVs should be going would be easy enough.

Bird Scooter could provide better training to the staff that pickup and drop off scooters if we provide information such as this but I do agree this should be professional.

@awokeinthelbc - I am not sure I understand your comment are you saying the Santa Monica site is DWP? If so that is not correct this site is fed from SCE territory.

I am pretty sure you are correct that this is for a future Megapack. I think the large PGE transformer installed can service all 48 stalls but maybe somewhere on the utility line there is a limitation that PGE is working out before full power can be realized.

They should all be 250kW capable.

Right next to those white boxes the charging cabinets and switchgear look to be empty concrete pads where I would guess the transformer should be going hopefully real soon.

Do we see the Utility Transformer yet I don't see it in the latest picture. Once that is there we are on the home stretch for sure.

The Tesla construction has been sitting like that for over a year now. Once the development gets further along I am sure we will see more activity and the site also going online but I would expect anything real soon maybe Q1 or Q2 of next year.

That is a much needed location glad to see it energized so quickly now lets shift our focus to the 210.

Drove by today and decided to try and charge and this site appears to officially be ONLINE!! Not yet on the in car nav but probably coming soon.

I went to the site last night and still no active Tesla chargers at this time.

I would actually prefer at Lodgepole Visitor center so those that want to drive to Grant and Cedar grove could more easily do it without worrying. Once we have Visalia Three Rivers doesn't provide as much benefit especially because it is not too far up the mountain yet. Just my opinion 😀

I will be driving back from Fresno tomorrow evening I will definitely post pictures and if I am able to charge I will update this thread.

Stopped by here along with the Supercharger across the street looks like there is work going on in the development but no roads leading to the supercharger location yet and no more work that I can see at the supercharger location.

Drove by here today to take more pictures looks like Tesla is pretty close to complete with their work but still no transformer installed.

I see a transformer in one of the latest pictures so I am not sure this one is waiting on the electrical company but I could be wrong.

Probably doesn't make a lot of economical sense as SCE utility is still in a Demand charges holiday so once Tesla starts getting Demand charges they probably don't see a need to offset with solar/batteries. I think your estimate is a little too optimistic lets keep an eye on when the transformer set and then estimate hopefully a week or two after that to be up and running. My guess is most likely mid to end of August for this site.

Even my standard range+ model 3 tends to go to the 150kW charging locations right in front of the lounge 😁

This is an active site with a hotel going in, gas station, class 8 truck car wash so I really doubt Tesla would try and get the site energized with so much going on around the site. Also there isn't SCE infrastructure in the streets which will need to be installed for Tesla to connect to. I...

Ya it is a little piecemeal throughout the parking lot. Most are pretty close except the pull through stalls in my third picture are the farthest away from the charging cabinets.

Sorry I didn't get a picture of the pad but it is right behind the 3 charging cabinets from my first picture and no transformer installed yet.

Here are some pictures I took today and I did count 19 stalls looks like the permit is accurate.

Not very much progress at all at this location we still need the roads to be complete before Tesla can even continue on their install.

Thats great news finally another Supercharger on the 99 Fwy in this area I would have liked to have seen Delano but who knows maybe that is coming in the future.

I can check on this charger on Sunday as I pass through checking on the Visalia locations progress unless someone else validates before me.

Looks like they are racing to finish by this weekend I see the transformer installed but I don't think they will make it for this holiday weekend unless they put rocks and allow people to drive on it like Kettleman City which is still not paved to my knowledge.

The information I have is what is to be operational very soon is 20 V3 chargers and 29 L2 chargers with an additional 50 V3 chargers coming much later I believe next year due to some limitations on power availability currently by SCE.

Not only that but the infrastructure needed for V3 vs V2 is quite substantial so they would need to totally construct the site again almost to every stall really not worth taking out a V2 to install V3. I have seen Tesla expand V2 sites to more stalls or just locate a new V3 site in addition.

One note about the first video this is the exact reason why Kettleman adding another 56 stalls on the other site of the main road for days just like this when we need the holiday rush hour capacity.

This is only the beginning of many large Supercharger stations to come. We are going to see quick the Megasites in Southern California.

I am quoting a previous reply on this thread to show you that PGE doesn't have demand charges but subscription services that can be turned on and off and there are blocks of subscription based on how much the customer thinks they will need. I don't think adding in a battery at this location...

Drive by this evening heading back from Fresno looks to be a 16 stall location from the 4 cabinets even though I only counted 15 stalls atm.
