    2022.44.25

I had 2022.44.25.1 and then got offered 2022.44.25.3 this morning so I am installing... on the .1 revision I had that horrible "banging" of the rear windows closing tight before driving in colder weather, which has happened in past software updates. Hopefully they fix that amongst whatever else...

    SOFTWARE UPDATE 2022.44.2 (Keeps spinning)

I had a similar issue and it was spinning for a few days - eventually it downloaded and installed. To accelerate the process try rebooting the car and your phone afterwards and see if it helps at all. Also make sure you have a good WiFi signal to the car.

    2022.44.25

YES to the return of cards and new MyQ support!! I'm going to play dumb for a sec - one of the other features in this update is to view camera during Dog mode - I have a 2021 Model Y with Intel Atom computer - do I have an in-cabin camera for this feature?

    2022.40.4

Yes, by the NHTSA. I received the "window pinch" letter in the mail two days ago - says it'll be fixed via software update.

Garage Flooring Tiles - Video + Photos

Awesome I'll check them out. Up until your mention of Saber I was thinking of New Age or Gladiator.

Garage Flooring Tiles - Video + Photos

White Shadow, what brand cabinets and under-cabinet lighting is that? Your exact setup and color of the cabinets (neat red stripe!) is perfect for what I'm looking to setup in my garage. Thanks!

Help me with the math for a U-Haul trailer

See post #10 in this thread - already moved down here ~3 months ago and didn't need the trailer. It was a great drive! :)

Help me with the math for a U-Haul trailer

That's really neat! Which drop hitch size is best for Model Y?

My experience with mobile service tire rotation

I wonder if the Free rotation is for areas outside of ATL proper (I am in Cumming). I'll have to give them a call, they have a store 15 mins from my house.

Electrician reference - Atlanta/greater Atlanta area

I wound up having TE Certified do the installation - it was about $1500 all-in. I also had them performing some other minor circuit run for our basement and the quality of work all around was excellent. PS - I believe it's in another massive thread about Wall Connector requirements, but TE...

Electrician reference - Atlanta/greater Atlanta area

Hi there, did you like the quality of work from Reliable? I'm gonna pursue getting a second quote from them to compare my options.

Help me with the math for a U-Haul trailer

Made it to GA, but wound up not needing the trailer... good info to save though for future reference!

Electrician reference - Atlanta/greater Atlanta area

We actually had our realtor give us a list of their preferred vendors so we're gonna try these guys and see what they quote. https://luke-john-electric.business.site/

Electrician reference - Atlanta/greater Atlanta area

Do any of the aforementioned electricians work in Cumming (Forsyth County)? I have a need for a Wall Charger installation and a few 20A outlets in my garage.

    CCS Adapter - ?

Welp good news and bad news - our moving logistics changed for the better and I no longer need a U-Haul trailer - I came across some of the CCS1 adapters on eBay and was about to pull the trigger but I double-checked my car settings and mine is not CCS-enabled. I was a summer 2021 order and I...

    CCS Adapter - ?

FWIW I used PayPal with funds deducted from my bank account. I wonder if that falls under one of the "limitations" as you mentioned!

    CCS Adapter - ?

My order on July 11 from Harumio just got cancelled and refunded as well.
  18. T

    CCS Adapter - ?

Good points. I will probably adopt similar strategy. And I did leave this detail out in my other replies, but the ABRP app was suggesting charging to 65-72% before the next stop.
  19. T

    CCS Adapter - ?

Oh definitely not, only the very last charger stop before I get to hotel if I (or the Tesla Navi) ultimately decide. Aside from the limited MPH which will feel like I'm driving a Power Wheels I am really hoping the charger stops have stalls to accommodate trailered cars and/or are not super...

    CCS Adapter - ?

So I played around with ABRP (free, not paid) last night and as an FYI here's my parameters and results from the app. Glad to take any suggestions and if anything is WAY off; again this is my first big trip! I am really hoping that CCS1 adapter from Harumio comes by next week otherwise I have...

    CCS Adapter - ?

Thanks a bunch. I'm also going to have a 5x8' U-Haul trailer attached so no doubt my range loss will be making me stop frequently. I haven't tried alternate routes in ABRP but I'll take all the helpful hints into consideration!
  22. T

    CCS Adapter - ?

Hey, so I'm going in the opposite direction (NJ to GA) later this month.... moving to GA permanently (Cumming)! This will be my first real long trip in my Model Y LR so I'm looking for feedback on the best approach you recommend I map my route? ABRP app, EA app, the built-in Nav in the car...

Help me with the math for a U-Haul trailer

I used ABRP to plan an estimated route but haven't dug deep into the suggested stops to see what they are like... I'll probably take a closer look as the trip nears. I haven't bought any extra adapters aside from what has been provided in the Mobile Connector kit. Over the months on this forum...

Help me with the math for a U-Haul trailer

About to embark on a move soon from NJ to GA to our new home. Since the moving company may arrive a few days after we performing closing and final walkthrough on our home, I am renting a 5x8' Cargo Trailer from U-Haul to take some temporary things like one of our queen beds, some musical gear...

Bridgestone Alenza AS Ultra are quiet & smooth

When you mention 20" do you mean the 20" Tesla Induction rims? I've previously seen plenty of people upgrading to 265 width tires... with the 275 width do you have any rubbing or issues with steering articulation?

Details of Bow and Stern Lines for Kayak, Canoe, etc on the roof: Tow eye? Attached Hood Loop? Quick Hood Loop? Hitch? Attaching some other way?

That's really cool! Could that trailer hold a Hobie Cat sailboat you think? Wife and I are moving to Cumming, GA soon and looking forward to water activities on Lake Lanier.

    Dashcam Unavailable Check USB

In my opinion, that doesn't seem promising. Prior to 2022.12.x, my vehicle never even once had a red X on the dashcam icon. I believe they'll need to fix it in the next release such as 2022.13.x or whatever.
  28. T

    Dashcam Unavailable Check USB

I agree. Having the same issues. My vehicle (and the USB stick) is only 6 months old. Never had any issues until the 2022.12.x series of updates.

Punctured tire repair, tire out of stock - advice

No, I sent the whole car. I [embarrassingly] don't have jack stands at my house (nor do neighbors) otherwise I would have jacked up my car and took the tire to a Mavis Tire or STS to attempt repair of the tire BUT judging by the puncture size and location I knew the tire would probably be...

Thank you. On the estimate for the upcoming wheel swap they are charging $50 for labor.

Punctured tire repair, tire out of stock - advice

Well, turns out Tesla service is pretty awesome. Everything turned out to be covered (I guess maybe they felt a little bad with the nasty puncture) and I even got Uber credits to use to pick up my car at the SC. They put a loaner wheel/tire on and are ordering the stock Goodyear F1 tire for me...

Punctured tire repair, tire out of stock - advice

Tire rack looks to have the OEM Goodyears in stock (Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 M+S) and there are two models - one at $245 and other identical at $325. All ratings identical but the latter states it has “T0 Tesla” and “Soundtech” features…. I assume that’s the foam lining inside. Any reason to HAVE...

Punctured tire repair, tire out of stock - advice

Last night I had a massive 1/4"D x 3"L screw puncture my rear passenger tire (stock 20" Goodyears) on my MY LR. I was able to make it home safely before the tire deflated all the way. It was bordering the "unrepairable" shoulder zone of the tire and so to play it uber-safe I summoned Roadside...

    Vendor Official Tessie app talk

Does the Tessie app replace using the actual Tesla app on our mobile phones or do we use it conjunction with it? And if it does replace, do we still need to keep the Tesla app running in the background? I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Thanks!

    2022.12.3.1

I can see what some of the fuss is about - I installed 12.3.1 the other day and when you flip back and forth from HVAC Auto mode to something manual and then back to Auto again it forces the seat heaters to be Auto as well and turn on depending on the set temperature. Very annoying lol.

    2022.12.3

Yea one of the things that continually baffles me... all my other iOS apps leave a notification in the Apple Store to update them except Tesla. Half the time it says Update, the other half of the time I have to go search and update like you mentioned. 🧐

What is the best solution for Black Tesla Emblems?

I have the black ETSY ones as well - holding up real well and they look great! For the "DUAL MOTOR" emblem I plan to swap mine out with the black one from Abstract Ocean.

I was talking about the 4 side windows but yea, I do similar with cleaning windshield/wiper rubber.

    How to clean full window?

Yea roger that on the accidental closure - I would be mindful but I can see X amount of the population wouldn't and then all kinds of service appts LOL Thanks for the tip!

    2022.12.3

Interesting. What model do you have? On my MY the de-fog button always worked when HVAC off. First tap was the blue icon to defog with cool air, second tap was red icon with defogger heat.

    How to clean full window?

Since we have frameless windows, when you open the doors the windows lower slightly but do not allow you to raise them back up fully when the door is open. Thus you can clean most of the window but to get that last little area at the bottom you have to get in the car and close the door. Not...

    2022.8.2

I got 2022.8.3 for my MY LR and after taking a drive after the update, the rear corner sensors were sensitive as all heck too. I rebooted my car (via steering wheel button way) this morning and the sensors are back to detecting normally.
  43. T

    2022.12.x

Interesting notes! Keenly awaiting the update, my MY is still on 2022.4.5.17 in Standard updates mode.

    Radios lowers it self

Wow, click 23-28? I don't even go past 15-16 it's loud enough for me.. 😀 unless you folks have your iPhone's volume itself way down low. When pairing a phone to another BT speaker/system I make sure the iPhone volume is 2 clicks down from max and then adjust the BT speaker volume accordingly...

What name did you give your new Model Y?

Completely off-topic: where did you get those tiles for the garage floor? I need those in my life! Do they stay put in place when the car is not on top of them? Also that wall shelf where you have the storage containers - I assume that thing is bolted pretty well into studs and is sturdy...

"Keep the Tesla app running for the best phonekey experience"

I got the notification too after updating the Tesla app and force closing it. Guess I'll keep it in the background now! (However I never had communication problems force closing and reopening. Oh well).

2022.4 required to maintain AT&T compatibility

I got that same message/disclaimer about the LTE and so I reluctantly updated to 2022.4.5 from 2021.44.30. I was already living with v11 UI so I figured might as well to prevent any further issues. I was holding out for a later 2022.x release to fix the garbage they revamped in v11...

Tax incentives for NEMA 14-50 charger installation in 2022 in NJ

You might have to check a physical/PDF copy of your electric bill to see the rate differences, or call PSE&G. There might be a certain "plan" you have to enroll in to get peak vs off-peak other than the basic off-the-shelf service. I have JCP&L where I live and delivery and supply for me is...

    Reports of upcoming V11 fixes?

That is by far the dumbest place IMO, to put the heated steering wheel button. It's like someone in the UI designer dragged and dropped the button in some random place.
