Model 3, pedal space to rest left foot?

I never took the time to make something but am still running with the mod. Maybe some thin flexible black plastic cutting board could be cut to size and slide in behind the other panel and use some kind of silicone glue that could be easily removed to keep it from moving? https://a.co/d/cTIpuRY...

Fan Only: Peculiarities of the Model 3

This is still an issue a couple years later on my 2019 M3. The cabin heater is still constantly used if the temperature setpoint is within ~0-15 degrees of the interior temperature. Although now it's only averaging like 500 watts to the cabin heater instead of over 1000 watts a couple years ago...

Wish we knew exactly which maps Tesla is using at this point for navigation. In my FSD snapshot companion emails I include map coordinates of issues that...

Why doesn't FSD hug the left side of the right lane?

This is currently one of my top issues with FSD with the other being the car always starts slowing down way too late. Most roads in my area have parallel parking on both sides of the street and unmarked bike lanes and/or unmarked right turn lanes making the right lane a much larger lane /...

Big Bear - where to charge?

Basically every dot on plug share is a non public Airbnb or hotels with chargers for guests only. Remax is the only one that is really open to the public that I can see. Holloway's was not very stoked about letting me charge and does not allow EVs to rent an RV spot and stay overnight to charge...

Big bear needs any kind of public chargers. Thankfully the remax up there just added a few tesla chargers but those were taken half the time. Maybe Musk hates big bear? Strange that the other ev charging companies have failed to do anything as well for such a large winter town so close to LA. I...

Model 3 driver's seat adjustment - can it be adjusted to go further back ?

Any luck on this? I managed to remove the huge dead pedal compressed foam which bought me a couple inches for my left leg. If I cut the carpet i could maybe get a couple more inches. But I think being moving the seat rails back would get me a few more blessed inches of room. Unfortunately the...

Has anyone removed the arm rest?

I just removed my armrest and noticed the light on. I don't see any switch to turn it off when the armrest is closed so I suspect it is just always on when the car is on. turn off heater?

Verified with scanmytesla that my 2019 M3 on firmware revs the past couple months that the heater is still wanting to draw around 150 watts when it is ~74F degrees outside and my temp setpoint is 65F after driving for an hour. If I drop the temp down to LO my evaporator power usage stays the...

Shot in the dark, maybe it's a partial reimbursement for any unused free supercharger miles that they recently expired for a lot of cars at the end of June? I had over 2000 left on my M3 and got a refund of 68.27. That's about half the price of what I would pay at the supercharger for those...

    Air conditioning issues

Not sure about the MY but the M3 and every other Tesla constantly uses the cabin heater to maintain the 1 temp setpoint. It doesn't appear able to adjust the cooling AC to the cabin and is either just on or off so the cabin heater is used to keep the temp from going too low.

    Air conditioning issues

It sounds like the Y has to moderate the cooling from the system AC the same way model 3 does. At least you get a heat pump where the has to use the PTC cabin heater. So to ensure you don't use the heater when all you really want to do is cool the car is to set the temp to LO and adjust the temp...

Tesla should show how much energy is going to heating

For a renter with no home or workplace charging and a 80 Mile daily commute these decently sized scraps of energy are not chump change. Also the cabin heater is constantly being used even when it's 90F degrees outside and all you are trying to do is cool the car to the tune of 1-2kw. Disable...

    turn off heater?

Unfortunately it looks like they haven't fine tuned the HVAC algorithms. It appears that the cooling AC is a full on or full off and the cabin heater is used to actually "set" the temperature by mixing hot air from the cabin heater so the end air temp matches your temperature setpoint.

Dead pedal - dead in 2020
