2020 White M3LR 18” wheels

Ordered a white LR on 1/21/23. Have an EDD of March 4-March 31. I’m amazed how much demand has been generated by the price cuts. The sales center where I ordered it was very busy & I wonder if it has slowed down since then.

Drove by yesterday. No major changes although it looks as though they have been working on wiring the stalls, cleaned up the site & removed the dumpster.

They’re baaack! A crew from LES was leaving when I took these photos. Progress continues, but weather may delay work for several days.

Thanks for the update. If it’s simply a matter of redoing the pedestals it should be finished relatively soon. I’ll be there in a couple of weeks. I hope to be able to use the new supercharger as it’s a little closer to where we stay.

I plan to stay at the hotel anyway so I don’t care about speed. This is a great addition for those staying & it frees up spaces for those just passing through. A great idea! I hope they make it permanent.

This is a second location at another Safeway in Hood River. This was actually supposed to be the original supercharger in Hood River but the agreement fell through & then was revived after the other site was completed.

Between the two sites are 124 stalls. There must be a tremendous amount of demand on I-10.

Yeah they seem slow to Tesla owners but they are still more than a Bolt can use….. Perhaps they are intended to take pressure off the other Barstow chargers. They won’t charge as fast as the other chargers but at least you won’t be waiting in line as long. Local owners may find them useful.

I care about price but I also have to consider that getting to a destination is more important than price at an individual supercharger. Rates vary widely by region & time of day so there is little that one person can do to control cost of charging while traveling to a destination.

The excavators are there today. It doesn’t look like the are adding service to the building. They are doing some digging in the parking lot.

While there aren’t any pull through stalls at least there’s room to unhitch to charge. Some superchargers are in areas with limited access. This one’s a converted gas station with plenty of room to maneuver away from the stalls.

This may be a situation where induction charging is useful.

I think this is some states fighting anything that is related to climate change. It puts direct pressure on those states to switch their fleets. They are going to find though that many major companies are changing the products they sell & it will become harder not to change as well.

Rally you bring up some good points. The larger problem though is that in about 12 years or so major departments especially in the western US are going to have to address these issues when ICE police vehicles are unavailable. Making steps towards the deadline is important.

Yeah I waited for years for the first Salem supercharger. Lots of disappointment then. Tesla pushed back the construction several times. However since a legitimate media outlet has confirmed Tesla’s post & cited as its source “City of Salem permits“ perhaps it’s time for a blue pin.

Previous location may not necessarily be dead. It’s hard to know with Tesla. There is a site in Hood River Oregon that was considered dead after negotiations halted & a new site was used. Then the owner of the first site changed their mind. The original site is now under construction.

After the postings in supercharger.info today, it’s clear that there’s a lot happening behind the scenes in Oregon. A 51 stall site in Sutherlin & 12 stall site in Tillamook is great news.

When feasible, which I expect to be most of the time, I plan to use the Harrisburg supercharger. The access from I-5 is much better than Springfield, the V3 charging is superior & there is a bathroom. Other than fast food there isn’t much calling me to use the Springfield supercharger.

There are gaps but they are being filled. It helps to stay on the major highways. I’ve noticed a huge improvement in the last three years. I’ve made three trips to Los Angeles in two years & each one has been better.
