You can fix it yourself or just buy a new part. CF is pretty easy to work with. I repaired some damage to my factory spoiler and re-cleared it. It’s a lot more work than just ordering a new one though…

It would probably be easier/cheaper to get a Service Center to install the new Ethernet Dash harness in the refresh S/X. I don’t think anything else would be required as the connector goes straight to the MCU-Z. Programming the harness change…that’s a whole other thing…

The VIN is blacklisted. Mine had a single black mark that was reset with a software update. If the Beta team will remove the blacklist, you’ll likely need to provide proof of purchase. I’d also talk to your local service center and see if they have a process for this situation.

Make sure the rear parcel shelf, charging adapter with J1772 adapter, both key cards, and if it still has them both fobs. Depending on how far you’re going, make sure you get access to the App for charging. A 22 at this point could be either new or used not sure where you’re getting it from...

Pull down lightly on the headliner and twist the part up towards the back of the car. Through the open hatch.

Look in the parts catalog to get the image of the part and contact Parts sellers on eBay who are dismantling new Model S Plaids and LR. They might have the part on a car and can sell it to you.

The new Model Ys are coming with the Continental ProContacts seems it’s also preferred on the Model S LRs too. I recently swapped from the Pirellis and they are noticeably quieter.
