    Refresh interior windshield haze

That happens with all cars until the end of time. We're talking about the perma-haze that doesn't wipe off easily.

speed shine won't do a damn thing. speed shine + glass clay, will.

Refresh Model X HVAC Noise in cold

Unsurprisingly it shares a lot of the components with the Model Y - the blower motor is straight from the Model Y. I just looked it up in the EPC, the heat pump is the same part number as well. 1501256-01-M And yes - it would have to work harder at lower temp levels. It's definitely compressor...

Refresh Model X HVAC Noise in cold

as a system it's definitely more efficient than the resistive cabin heater. I can explain the new Tesla thermal systems as best as I can: 1. All thermally managed objects are connected together (Motors, Battery, Cabin, Environment via Heat Exchanger/Radiator/Evap/Condenser/whatever you want to...

Refresh Model X HVAC Noise in cold

It doesn't spin. It runs electricity through the stator inefficiently to make it generate heat without turning the motor. The same thing happens during supercharging preconditioning - the stator is being used less effectively to create waste heat - probably slightly off sync with the rotor.

Refresh X - Erroneous Manual Door Released Used Notification

It does pull down the window I believe. This was added in late 2019 when the model 3 came out. I think the message is something like “check the window seal for damage” or something.

Refresh X - Erroneous Manual Door Released Used Notification

Anyone ever get the notification for manual door release was used, even though the touch button was used to open the door? Very odd.

service request, other, something else, order part. And sure if you paid them. Just don’t say anything about upgrading. I would say “replace rear screen with latest revision, pay out of pocket”

Wiki Model X Refresh Issues Thread

Just looked up the procedures for replacing the rear screen since there are reports of an updated one. here are my findings: 1. should be doable in 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your experience with working with car interiors 2. there's no new additional part, I don't know what the original...

Did you update your software recently? Mine seems to have gone away before my service appointment, the only thing that changed was I got off of the dreadful 2022.20 software. When I think about it it, The issue started with the 2022.20.18 and 2022.20.19 versions. 2022.36 seems to have fixed it...

Yes it happens. It’s not an issue with the camera. You need to go a little slower and move over a bit more to avoid it.

Where is the location of the HEPA filter in the 2022 Model X?

Yes. On all cars with bioweapon mode, there are 2 filters - the big HEPA filter, and a smaller filter on the inside. With the Y, they just added the HEPA assembly at the air inlet, the dual cabin air filters are still there. The Refresh X and S are no different.

Where is the location of the HEPA filter in the 2022 Model X?

Watch the Munro tear down of the Plaid. It’s there. It’s not easy to get to. By the looks of it you might have to pull the wiper arms and remove that plastic piece beneath the windshield. Update: I looked it up in the service manual. Access is free, once you have access, here's the link...

taking it in on tuesday. service estimate says it's the sensor glued to the door skin panel. What I did to start off was set up an appointment, and then start taking bug-report snapshots by long pressing on the lower left "car menu" and letting them know what date and time it was taken at...

Refresh front left dash rattle (cold weather?)

Has anyone had the rattle near the base of the left A pillar, where the speaker grille is? I have a light rattle that started after it got cold (coincidence? Maybe not). The service procedure to get under the grille is invasive, so it’s not worth doing for a non severe rattle. I’ve stuffed...

How close to a total is this?

Here's the damage, the photo that I zoomed in and circled in blue shows the QP line dropping lower from the trunk lid line (trunk lid was not impacted) - would this suggest that something structural has bent?

    Y/3 or 2022 X side cameras on 2019?

Darken headlights for a blacked out look?

there’s no way to darken headlights legally and also retain the same level of safety. If you want to put tinted PPF film over the headlights you’ll reduce your headlight output both to your perception and to others. Fine on a show car, but if you drive at all at night, you may or may not get a...

How close to a total is this?

Looks like WA state is TLF or a calculated value between fair value, repair costs, and scrap value. I guess I should hire the diminished claims guy and push this for a total if it really is going to be a 20k repair.

How close to a total is this?

I’m going to have it taken to Tesla’s in-house collision center in Bellevue, WA. Also going to hire John from www.dv.claim for diminished value. Is there even a remote chance the payout for repair + diminished value can push it close to total?
