    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Received 2019.36.2.2 this afternoon. Model 3 SR+ no FSD. Loving the 1 pedal driving and definitely more power!

    Model 3 Accessories

Actually, just realised it is in the online accessories list for $180: https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/downloads/en_AU/M3_Accessories_Digital_Brochure_AU_0906.pdf

    Model 3 Accessories

They didn’t have any boot mats in stock yet. The guy I spoke to said there isn’t even a price on their system for it

    Model 3 Accessories

I picked up a set of Tesla RHD carper mats this week from the Service department in Brisbane. The guy I spoke to said they had some more in stock if anyone was interested. $145 for the set and they seem decent quality. I also managed to get a Tesla Frunk mat ($120) while I was there but it was...

    Model 3 Accessories

For those looking at screen protectors, I bought the Taptes one. It is good quality but if you are wearing polarised sunglasses, it looks like a rainbow

My MSM Model 3 got up to 54 degC today on not a particularly hot day

    Model 3 Accessories

I am going to sell my Model 3 key fob that I bought from the US store as I don’t really need it. Works fine on the AU Model 3. Is there a good place to sell stuff on this forum in Australia?

    Who’s got V10 in Aus?

I do have a good connection now but didn’t last Thursday unfortunately. Looks like a lot of people received it that day
  9. Trodderus

    Who’s got V10 in Aus?

Do you have FSD by any chance?
  10. Trodderus

    Who’s got V10 in Aus?

Anyone else still waiting for V10 in Aus? I have a model 3 SR+, no FSD and no sign of V10

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I bought it before I got the car because I had heard a lot of stories about the app not being 100% reliable (and I got bored waiting). Now I have had the car for a week, the app has worked flawlessly for me and there is no real reason to need the Fob from what I can see. Unless you are lending...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I am coming from a Subaru Levorg 2.0T AWD “Sportwagon” and I can say the SR+ is at least 4x more fun to drive. I would classify it as a Sports Sedan.
  13. Trodderus

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I can confirm that the Model 3 Fob from the US store DOES work with the AU Model 3. Turns out I wasn’t pressing the buttons hard enough  it is a moot point I guess as there is a new one coming out that supports passive entry...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Maybe. Was a brand new battery though. Will check with a multimeter
  15. Trodderus

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I mean it does nothing when you press the buttons on the Fob. Only works when you tap it on the pillar and behind the cup holders like the key cards. I am aware there is not meant to be passive entry with the fob. I am assuming that the buttons maybe don’t work due to RF spectrum regulations in...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Has anyone managed to get a Model 3 key fob from the US Tesla store working on an AU Model 3? I picked up my car yesterday and was able to pair the Fob with the car but it only seems to work like the key cards. The RF functionality might be disabled in AU The car is awesome BTW

So glad this won’t be on our cars at least

Might need to add bringing a bottle of brake fluid along to the delivery checklist by the sounds of things

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Got a text this afternoon with a tentative delivery date of 30/09/2019 @5:30PM. Brisbane Reservation: July 2018 Order: 31/05/2019 SR+ MSM Has anyone got a delivery date closer to the end of the quarter? :D
  20. Trodderus

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I am waiting on the same config as you have in Brisbane and have not had the same experience. I am in the negative experience camp with no delivery date and no indication of when it might come.
  21. Trodderus

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

That is the same config as mine. Brisbane, reservation July 2018, ordered 31/05/19, VIN but no delivery date. If I get it by mid October I will be happy. If you get yours before me @bigbones , I will be paying them a visit o_O

Sorry, just read the P3+ brake centrebore bit

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Nice! Do the 18” wheels fit over the P3+ brakes?

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

The most expensive car I have bought previously was $40k. So only really a mere $30k stretch for my SR+

Just noticed my VIN has changed. First detected on the 10/09 now it is different this morning

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Can anyone confirm that a keyfob from the US works on an AU/NZ delivered Model 3? I have one so I hope so!

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Finally got a VIN today! Looks like there have been a few assigned today

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

There goes that theory then
  31. Trodderus

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Looking at the spreadsheet with FSD in it now, 100% of responses that have FSD selected have a VIN assigned. Is there anyone that ordered FSD that doesn’t have a VIN yet?
  32. Trodderus

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

FYI, Random206 has added a field in the VIN spreadsheet to indicate whether or not FSD was selected in your order. Would be good if people could go through and update their responses (if you can be bothered) so that we can see if there is any correlation between FSD and delivery dates etc. Cheers!

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Dear everyone, I have decided to stop following this thread until I at least have a hidden VIN as it is driving me insane. Good luck to you all and I hope to be back on here soon.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Especially seeing as it has track mode. Without that it would be a different story. Unfortunately when it was possible to order the P-, no one could tell for certain of it came with track mode or not
  35. Trodderus

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I agree. I am still really looking forward to taking delivery but the way the reservations and deliveries are being handled is definitely tarnishing the experience. Colleagues and friends keep asking me where my car is and all I can say is I don’t know. Unfortunately it is making it difficult...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I agree! Hidden VINs definitely seem to mean something. There seems to be no apparent pattern to who gets one unless we are missing something. Maybe they are just going off people names in alphabetical order? :D We need a new column for people initials in the spreadsheet!
  40. Trodderus

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Did you have a hidden VIN prior to contacting them?

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Agreed. The aero wheels look pretty good in person. Don’t regret buying the wheel cap kit still so that I have the option

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Did you go for a test drive? Might have seen you there :D
  44. Trodderus

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Good news SR+ people! I just dropped in to Tesla Brisbane and checked out the white SR+ that they are using for test drives and notice that the wheels are equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres! Spoke to the sales rep and he said they are standard on the AU delivered SR+ From what I have...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia
