    Sound Deadening Model 3

I recommend you do rear wheel wells first because they cut down road/tire noise a lot more than the front ones and clips are much easier to remove. Get some heavy duty glue ready in case dynamat doesn’t stay secure.

I don't think Tesla service center would install more soundproof material than my car came with, plus couple visits at least? Also, noise level is objective. It depends on who you asked if Tesla model 3 is quiet or noisy.

I didn't know about thinsulate. I think your result would be better than mine. Please keep us posted. Are you going to use 3M thinsulate? https://www.amazon.com/Thinsulate-Acoustic-Thermal-Insulation-SM600L/dp/B074XLDV58/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=thinsulate&qid=1573671601&sr=8-1

    Sound Deadening Model 3

I’m happy to report that my model 3, SR+, is very quiet now after I installed Dynamat to the back of rear wheel wells and outside body panels. My wife and I can tell the difference and tire noise is very minimal. Recommended

Yes, they are Dynamat Xtreme and I used 5 sheets of 9 (20lbs/package). I still have 4 sheets left for wheel wells and front doors. Water may damage Dynamat behind the wheel wells, but I don’t think it’ll be that bad with California weather. IF I do it again from beginning, I’ll install Dynamat...

@Adam3 I can’t confirm if Tesla recently added them, but they were low quality mat and floor still made tin noise & vibrated when I knocked on the floor. Floor is solid after I added Dynamat. Sorry, it was late, so I didn’t take any photo to show you. FYI, I added 18”x52” to second row floor.

    Sound Deadening Model 3

Updated I continued to add Dynamat to trunk, rear speaker shelf, and interior cabin floor. I didn't install Dynapad because it was heavy and smell. Result: my car is quiet and solid under 45mph. Wind noise starts to be audible above 50mph and it’s less than 72db on freeway with 70+mph. I’m...

    Premium White Interior, regrets?

We just took delivered our white on white a month ago and we think they look perfect and standout. We installed 3M Crystaline 70/40 and cabin still looks bright and modern.

    Sound Deadening Model 3

Thank you to all of you posted what you’ve done to soundproof your model 3. I started to add some Dynamat Extreme yesterday to front wheel wells and panels. They make the front more damping and sound warmth. Definitely quieter I hear road noise from windows now. Some photos of where I applied...
