Wiki FSD Beta v11.x: Anticipation & Discussion

I'm definitely in the group that thinks FSD Beta is useful and fascinating to use most of the time. But as others have pointed out, it definitely has it's quirks, and still has to be monitored pretty closely. It doesn't drive as well as I do (or at least it doesn't drive the same as I do)...

    Model S/Model X Prices Slashed!

I sold my 2020 MSLR to a local dealer in the summer of 2021 for $78k, during the peak of the Covid insanity. I then bought a 2022 MSLR for $84k (though it took 9 months to actually deliver, and I tacked on $10k at the time for the FSD package). It worked out well at the time. Seems like the...

Where to get plaid 19inch tires?

I also have a set of these tires for sale. I convinced Tesla to switch me to the all-seasons right after the purchase, and would love for someone to get some use out of my "spare" tires. Feel free to shoot me a note and we can work out a sweet deal!

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

For what it's worth, I've had my MSLR for 10 months, and have not regretted having the yoke a single day. I'd still chose a yoke vs a wheel today. It's part of what makes my car unique and fun, and I very quickly adjusted to the shape and the controls. No regrets! I'm glad the wheel is now...

    FSD tale of two systems

I use FSDb every day here in Nebraska. I live on the edge of town, and traffic isn't too bad. For me, FSDb drives just fine 80-90% of the time. I have longer 15-20 mile drives with zero interventions. I've learned where FSDb will inevitably mess up, and preemptively disengage in those spots...

Settings Reset After 2022.44.25.5 Update - Unenrolled from FSD Beta?

2022.44.25.5 is FSD Beta version 10.69.25 (the Holiday update for FSD Beta). Perhaps you just need to go into your settings to be sure the FSD Beta options are turned on? If that doesn't work, you could try re-installing the software via the Service Screen. I'm on 2022.44.25.5 right now and...

    Holiday Update & FSD

I'm in the same boat, currently running 10.69.3.1 and awaiting install of 10.69.3.3. I do believe we'll see 10.69.3.3 over the next 24-48 hours, it just takes a while to deploy to the entire FSDb crowd, and it hasn't made it to use just yet. I'm hopeful that V11.0 is being tested behind the...

    FSD Beta 10.69

I do love the yoke in general, but it definitely doesn't lend itself to letting the wheel spin while you touch the wheel slightly. I wouldn't want to switch back to a wheel in any event though.
  9. R

    FSD Beta 10.69

This technique sounds useful, but doesn't work at all with a Yoke. I accidentally disengage sometimes on turns when the yoke hits my hand (that's poised to take over if needed).

    Done with Teslas

I watched this video for the first time tonight. Instead of being outraged by what a fake it was (which it undoubtedly was in 2016), I was actually struck by how similar most of the video was to what my "normal" drives on FSDb look like today (without the Reverse Summon piece). And it made...

    FSD Beta 10.69

The more I drive FSDb (10.69.3), the more I'm discovering that (for me) the biggest problems I'm seeing have to do with the Planning NN. The actual Occupancy Network and physical driving of the car, while not perfect by any means, is fairly acceptable at this point (and will likely improve...

2022.40.4.1 am I screwed out of FSD beta?

Actually, the push from last night (10.69.3.3) is shown as being on the 2022.40.4.10 thread, so you might be okay if that version ends up going out to us regular folks.

FSD Money better given to a charity

Extremely well said! This was my point also. I honestly could not care less about the things Elon says, other than to occasionally applaud his ambitious agenda and his lofty goals. Without those, none of what has been achieved would have been possible. None of the things Elon has said in the...

FSD Money better given to a charity

I understand how scary the current version of FSDb can feel! But from a slightly different perspective, from someone who recently received FSDb for the first time, I still find it "magical" in many ways, flaws and all. I purchased FSD fully understanding that it is not, and will probably...

2022.40.4.1 am I screwed out of FSD beta?

You can simply not install the software after it has downloaded. You can't really stop the car from downloading updates, but you can choose to not install the downloaded software.
  16. R

    FSD Beta 10.69

This must mean an update is about to happen so we can start the cycle over again!

    FSD Beta 10.69

During a drive tonight on FSDb, I was on the Interstate cruising along at 70 mph when I saw some flashing red police lights a half mile (or so) ahead. My car slowed down to about 60 mph, and I got a message on the screen saying something like, "Autopilot slowing for Emergency Vehicles Ahead."...

Fsd slowing to 20% of rated speed, fihting the accelerator pedal or set speed, fsd becomming unavaliable, the same drive again within 3hrs, perfect

Some have speculated Tesla is doing some sort of "A/B Testing" where the car switches between two competing modes to determine which is more effective. I don't know that this is the case, but I've seen lots of examples posted here that seem to indicate it's a possibility. My car has done the...

    FSD Beta 10.69

I agree with this assessment. Many of the things that were labeled as "mistakes" in the video were simply personal preferences (acceleration rate, slowing rate, etc.). I think once FSD achieves consistently "good" driving (safe, relatively comfortable, somewhat efficient), hopefully there can...

2022.40.4.1 am I screwed out of FSD beta?

I was in the same boat up until 10.69.3.1. My car had upgraded to 2022.28.2 just as the earlier FSDb update (based on an earlier thread) was pushed to an additional 60k testers, so I was left out of the fun at that time (like you are now). However, once 10.69.3.1 came along, based on the...

FSD: Poorest of Lane selection STILL

Strangely, I find my car to be very inconsistent in this regard (lane selection). There's a specific spot near my house where my car will erroneously move into a turning lane about half the time, forcing me to intervene. The other half of the times, it does not do this. This same pattern has...

    Previous model S Prices

Those prices look roughly accurate to me for Jan of 2022. I ordered my MSLR right after they went on sale, and at that time the base price was $79k. There were several price bumps after that, and FSD went up from 10k to $12k (and now $15k).
  23. R

    FSD Beta 10.69

I think I've been influenced by Elon's confident tweets, more so originally before I started being active on this forum. I think that people who don't closely follow Tesla happenings or Elon tweets, they really don't understand what's happening in the world of FSD. If I show a friend how my...

    FSD Beta 10.69

I believe I read an earlier quote from Elon saying V11 would allow you to have your Tesla drive you from your home to your destination parking lot without ever touching the steering wheel. We all assumed that was irrationally exuberant, as is often the case. I could be mistaken, though...
  25. R

    FSD Beta 10.69

Yes, you should get V11 along with the rest of us when it is widely released. Elon did say that this version will be hands-free, but many are skeptical that Tesla will allow that with wide release of this still somewhat buggy software (unless V11 resolves a LOT of bugs).

    40.X and steering Wheel weight?

I very seldom get nags as long as I keep at least one hand on the yoke with very slight pressure. My go-to hand position is actually both hands palm down on the flat-bottom part of the yoke, and with this technique I very rarely get the nag. My old MS had the wheel (vs yoke), and I found it a...

    FSD Beta 10.69

I also have been using FSDb for every drive since I got it last week. I live on an acreage with a 400-ft long paved driveway that ends at a left/right 45 mph road, and I've even tried FSDb while I'm still on my driveway, and it did just fine (stopped before the road, creeped forward, and made a...

    FSD Beta 10.69

I'm new to FSDb, and I've been trying out 10.69.3.1 for the last few days. I've found it to be pretty inconsistent. I've had absolutely horrible drives, and then today I had several nearly perfect ones. Overall, though, I'm enjoying seeing the car figure situations out (or not), and I'm...

    FSD Beta 10.69

Just finished my first drive with FSDb (10.69.3.1). Wow! Obviously needs to improve in a bunch of areas, but this technology is truly amazing! I had to intervene a couple of times, but that's what all those warnings were for when I accepted Beta. I'm happy to no longer have to tap the...

Wiki FSD Beta v11.x: Anticipation & Discussion

I also received 2022.36.20 overnight! I was previously on 2022.36.6, and my Safety Score was also 98. Excited to try it out after waiting so long and watching so many YouTube videos of FSDb in action!
  31. R

    FSD Beta 10.69

I also received the 2022.36.20/FSDb push overnight! This will be my first experience with FSDb, and I'm excited to see how it performs here on my well-marked and wide Nebraska roads! It's been roughly 5 months since I opted into FSDb, and my Safety Score was 98. I'm REALLY happy to not have...

    software upgrade 22.36.6 and FSD

Looks like 10.69.3.1 is rolling out pretty quickly and widely overnight and this morning! Hope it gets sent my way soon! I've been in the queue for months with a SS of 98... Really excited to give FSDb a try.

Updated To Version 11 But Now No Option To Join FSD Beta?

I'm also anxiously awaiting 10.69.3.1 (Safety Score of 98 for the past 5 months and plenty of AP driving). I don't think we've missed out on that one, I just think the roll-out has slowed down over the weekend, and will hopefully pick back up strongly this coming week. From watching the...

    FSD Beta 10.69

The roll-out hasn't been very wide yet for 10.69.3.1, it seems. I heard that Tesla doesn't push as many updates over the weekend, and the push of 10.69.3.1 has really slowed down after an initial surge overnight Friday. I'm hoping that we'll see an uptick in pushes of the new FSDb to both new...
  35. R

    software upgrade 22.36.6 and FSD

Yep, I'm still anxiously awaiting the 36.20 push to my car! No warnings showing on my Safety Score page, and I've been at 98-99% for months now with plenty of AP driving. Hopefully I'll get some good news soon!

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

36.20 is FSDb, which I do not have yet (and have been waiting for 8 months). It's not V11, but it's the latest FSDb version that is actually available (as of yesterday, it seems).

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

You guys are killing me! I'm dying to get 36.20, and have a SS of 98 with 300 miles of AP. Come to me, FSDb!

    FSD V11 Discussion - First Released 11/11/22 at 11:11PM - Maybe

This is actually a somewhat hopeful sign for those of us still waiting to get FSDb, with good Safety Scores and running 2022.36.x software. Obviously, we all want V11, but for those of us with nothing at the moment, 10.69.3.1 would be great. I know Elon had previously said that new FSDb...

Wiki FSD’s Earliest Adopters Still Waiting

You may get into FSDb with the latest release of 10.69.3.x, if Tesla decides to add more testers on this version. The reason you haven't gotten in already is that your current software is past the version FSDb was based on when the big FSDb expansion occurred. I'm in the same boat, as are many...
  40. R

Have any new testers with a safety score above 80 received the FSD Beta 10.69.2.2 update yet?

Is there some new info that has been released about this? What's the source of your info that new testers won't be allowed into 10.69.3? I also missed out on the big FSDb expansion due to having software loaded that was past the FSDb stack, but I'm hoping to get 10.69.3 at some point. Can you...
  41. R

Is it safe to update the OS on Tesla while waiting for FSD beta que?

Go for it! You're already on 2022.36.1, and updating to 2022.36.6 will get you some nice new features while still keeping you behind the upcoming FSDb version. If you get pushed 2022.40.x, I'd recommend not installing that, as it is beyond the FSDb version.
  42. R

    software upgrade 22.36.6 and FSD

I tend to agree, and that's why I've gone ahead and allowed 2022.36.6 to load onto my car. Who knows what "the mothership" is thinking when they decide who to add to the FSDb pool, but it seems intuitive that someone who has updated their vehicle recently (but not past the current FSDb thread)...
  43. R

    FSD Beta 10.69

I noticed that also! I wish that means that Tesla has gotten rid of the need to apply constant torque to the wheel, and is instead relying on the cabin camera to ensure a driver is paying attention, but I realize that is WAY too much to ask...
  44. R

    software upgrade 22.36.6 and FSD

I was hesitant to install 2022.36.6 when it got pushed to me yesterday, but now that it's confirmed that 10.69.3 is running on the 2022.36.x thread, I see very little risk in installing that update (it's installing on my car right now). I don't know if Tesla is still planning to expand the...
  45. R

    software upgrade 22.36.6 and FSD

I wonder if having 2022.36.6 will increase the chances of getting FSDb when 10.69.3 is opened up to more Beta testers? I'd had to get left behind (again), this time because I DIDN'T update to the latest software before the FSDb push!
  46. R

PSA You will NOT get into the FSD beta if you already have 2022.24 or higher.

Me too! It seems like all of us in the FSDb queue have been "held back" from updates up until today, until it was clear what branch the latest FSDb would be on. Now that it's announced that 10.69.3 will run on 2022.36.15, the floodgates have opened to get us all brought up to the 2022.36...
  47. R

    software upgrade 22.36.6 and FSD

I just received a notification that my car was downloading the update 2022.36.6, and I'm also a bit torn as to whether to actually allow that update to install or not. I know that 10.69.3 is based on the 2022.36.XX thread, so it really shouldn't prevent me from getting FSDb when it's released...
  48. R

    software upgrade 22.36.6 and FSD

I agree! I'm on 2022.28.2 and won't install any updates until I get into FSDb. My SS has been at 99/100 for months...
