As above I fixed the same issue with just a light polish - the little white milky spots came straight out. I tested with a bit of Meguiars ultimate polish and a microfibre - marks were easily removed.

Indeed.....white is the new silver and silver would now be 'new' and rare. Only 10 years ago, most cars were silver - judging by all the cars on my estate, most new/fairly new cars are white and a nice metalic silver is getting pretty rare on the roads.
