Steam integration for Model S built after Feb 2022 only?

I have heard the same from my SC when inquiring. I suspect Tesla will WANT this to be done and will be a more attractive price.

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

I do agree that having to change direction quickly IE rocking out of snow is not easy at all

Looks like they are removing stalks from the 3/Y

It is a personal choice. I am 180 from you in that my first Tesla is the MS with yoke and no stalks. Whenever I have a loaner, I absolutely hate it. Clicking and flipping and pushing and pulling at these appendages is a total PITA. That being said, if I was used to that then the haptics...

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

I would guess at the time that Plan A was to lean into the yoke only and let the dust settle on the Yays and the Nays. Looks like the market and feedback spoke loud enough that Tesla was forced to now offer the option at purchase and a retrofit for existing. If a third party stalk solution...

Roger that. Canada is EPA as well.

My disaster of a delivery experience (No quality control)

The service experience totally depends on the SC. I got my LR back yesterday (fixed) and they fully detailed the car inside and out for me. I hope your experience starts to get better.

I believe BMW uses WLTP vs EPA.

My disaster of a delivery experience (No quality control)

Wow, you have had a terrible journey so far and with the flagship (most expensive) model you can purchase. I was having empathy pains reading your posts from the beginning. My 2021 MSLR has not been as bad as yours however....I have had the passenger seat replaced twice....the centre console...

Former Model S and 3 owner. Just got myself the BMW i4 M50.

My 21 MSLR is in the shop for the fifth time for SRS (airbag) issues. If it happens again, THAT is the car I have been eyeing up and actually wanted to purchase in 21 but it was still vapourware. Will be really curious to see how the 'battery mileage' compares to the Tesla as BMW uses a...

    Extension Cord Sidewalk Push Back

Yes, this is exactly what I had proposed. I would not even cement. I would dig an access hole on either side and then tunnel the 3" (even 2") PVC right under the sidewalk. I suspect one could even use the same pipe is a bore and drive it from one side to the other through the dirt using a...

    Disappearing Miles (SHOCKED )!

You can plan on 20% efficiency loss pretty much all the time. It will be higher if you are over 110 km/h or extreme cold or hot and sentry mode is a battery lover. You just plan on it....

Anyone else have issues with their 2021 refresh Model S?

Interesting thread. I have a 2021 Palladium LR that is back in the shop for the fifth time in 14 months. Last ‘repair’ lasted 890 kilometres. The car has been great otherwise but this problem keeps shifting from pax airbag to driver airbag to controller to harness. Exhausting 😑

Steam integration for Model S built after Feb 2022 only?

I am a first time Tesla owner so I didn't carry the battle scars of prior ownership/experiences forward and would comment that in my case, I have to resist seeing my car in any different light than any other vehicle vs seeing it as a migrating technology platform like my other toys like servers...

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

I am not missing the point Sir. The car was advertised and sold with a yoke so everyone had an option. To purchase or not. I respect and appreciate the discussions however they are circular.

Work in progress: stalks on 2021 Model S. (and optional round-y wheel)

Here is the thing as this yoke love hate thing has gone on and on and on and on. Some people like it and some people don’t. It is not right or wrong or good or bad it is preference. My Palladium LR is my first Tesla and I would not trade the yoke for a free wheel, stalks and hard cash. Every...

    Tilting Monitor on S

Albeit a cool feature to have, I really wonder how many people actually move it back and forth between different positions. I believe I am the original mule that posted the 'how to' with photos on repositioning the screen, I did it a year ago and would never have touched the buttons again to...

Basically derate by 20% when you are planning a trip and charging. The new energy app died a better job projecting energy use based on real world. You will love the car.

Tesla Orlando claiming front license plate mounts can no longer be removed?!?

Sorry about that ! Correct as I should have stated for Palladium cars and the thread was about removal of front holders on new vehicles

Tesla Orlando claiming front license plate mounts can no longer be removed?!?

The screws have absolutely nothing to do with the mounting of the plate holder to the car. Held on by VHB tape only. Dental floss is your friend !

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

Okay so I parked the car 48 hours ago at the airport, shut off all the ‘stuff’ and just checked. Range dropped 5 kilometres from 580 to 575. Nothing basically

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

May also depend on the hardware platform as my Palladium is a couple percent a day. Just parked the car at the terminal and back Thursday morning. I took a note of the level (91%) and will not touch it until I am back.

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

A couple % a day is expected as the car still needs to keep the cell modem and Bluetooth active at all times to detect US wanting to enter or query the car.

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

Sentry and cabin overheat from app or screen and summons from standby from screen. When I got the car a year ago I went through what you did until I got feedback as you have done and now I just clear those settings and I may check the car once but that’s it. Lock and forget it for 3-4 days and...

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

I charge to 100% before going to the airport and then turn off sentry, cabin overhead and summons and it is about 4% / day which is not that bad. Checking the car wakes it up and even during that 30-45 that it is awake, it is drawing quite a bit of power so it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy...

The rear flaps were not contoured properly to the interior of the wheel well. AOSK sent me a set of reworked rears for testing and now the fit is flush and proper. The muddy one is the original and clean is the reworked

I get wh/km numbers like yours in the summer when I drive like Ms. Daisy. I keep the car in INSANE mode all the time and do push it in certain parts of my daily 55 km commute (twisties). I have never seen 150...180 only when max speed on a drive was 80-100 kmh and on the other wide, I see...

I think the covers would also be good to prevent snow from packing/getting at the rotors. You enjoy serious cold. In Ontario (except for a couple of occasions) it did not get cold enough for me to experience much of an efficiency difference than I did through the hot summer. I am generally...

The comments on the clips not holding is interesting. Are you sure you are clamping between the back of the fender sheet metal and up over top of the rubber flap ? I had to bend my clips out a bit to to it and they are on super solid

New FSD beta testers (June 2022) - First experiences

I experience it in climbing and descending turns on a two lane highway with oncoming traffic. Not sharp turns, just lazy sweeps in the road. Winter Tire for S Plaid?

I am running a square setup of X-ICE on Replika 241 rims on my MSLR and the performance last winter was excellent. You have to keep the car in CHILL mode as they have a softer side wall and will catch your attention if you tromp it while cornering while in INSANE mode 😉

    Winter tire recommendations

There is zero need to work with or through Tesla. I am running a square setup of Michelin X-Ice on Replika 241 black rims with BT TPMS sensors that you can get almost anywhere and they were fantastic through the winter last year ( in Canada ) on a MSLR (2021)

@AOSK you should halt sales on Amazon until you have this fixed. Your mantra is ‘exceptional quality’ products and this one is marginal/fail. This is about your BRAND image and it is sad to see others jumping into the pit with us early believers and then sending them back or buying longer pins...

Agreed. Get me a spec for the motors and the job will be done ! I think the issue would be the cut gears on the motors.
