    Farmers insurance and Tesla repair?

Truthfully, I don't pay for a rental car on my policy so I figured if I went through Kemper I could have them pay. I agree, so it's disappointing to find out they won't pay the repair rates. Also... I'm not going to an insurance recommended shop but a Tesla recommended shop.

    Farmers insurance and Tesla repair?

The Service center told me they don't do any body work and sent me to the Certified shop. I didn't want tot go through my insurance if I could avoid it. Google Tesla bumper replacement for a Model 3 and you will notice that $2000 is not unusual. I pay more for an OEM part clause on my policy...

It's very similar. Farmers not paying the higher rates for Tesla repairs.

Except that Farmers doesn't want to pay the repair cost the Certified shop charges.

Tesla Collision Center refused to take other insurance than AAA and Tesla?

The shop I'm dealing with is a Tesla Certified shop, not Tesla themselves. They've been in business since 1965 and are certified to repair just about every brand out there.

Tesla Collision Center refused to take other insurance than AAA and Tesla?

I'm having a very similar experience: Farmers insurance and Tesla repair? They are going to try and get the at fault party's insurance to pay (Kemper) instead of mine because I have Farmers.

    Farmers insurance and Tesla repair?

I got rear ended at a stoplight recently, in my 2022 M3LR, that resulted in a gouge and crease in my bumper. The Tesla approved body shop wrote an estimate for almost $2,200 to replace and paint the bumper. The at fault driver's insurance is Kemper which sent me an estimate of $485 along with a...

Can Tesla still drivable when charging cable is cut? [No]

My guess: DUI crash coverup. Owner sideswiped a parked car (damage to passenger side) then decided fabricate a story about their Tesla getting stolen from the Supercharger. Removed jump drive, cut a charger plug and drove to a different charge station to leave it and report the "theft" later...

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

"It’s now starting to be known that 100% charging of your LFP batteries does as much if not slightly MORE harm to LFP batteries as it does to nickel based one’s, but Tesla recommends 100% charging of them ONLY because the BMS cannot accurately assess battery percentage and range unless the...

Confused about charging my model 3 on a road trip when no Superchargers are on the way

So... when someone asks a question in a forum and people immediately respond with a link to Google or coldly tell them to search, it really annoys me. Then you get someone like the OP and all of those people are a little more justified in their unhelpfulness.

When I bought my car I promised myself I was going to keep it stock. I've lowered or raised almost every vehicle I've ever owned and I wanted to leave this one alone. I was convinced by a bad influence to do wheels LOL. I still don't really want to lower it much if at all, but I almost had a...

    Your car rattles? Too bad…

I was just informed by my Service Center that they no longer cover rattles unless they are caused by a defective or broken part. My car is now almost a year old and has developed a rattle somewhere in the passenger doors. It sounds like both front and rear but it’s a bit hard to tell. I...

Sudden slow charging off NEMA 6-50 solved.

I agree. Actually I was mistaken. The 14-50 is $99 but the 6-50r is around $50. I originally put my 6-50r outlet in, years ago, for my welder, plasma cutter, and table saw. It's fortunate that I can use it to charge my car.

NEMA 6-50 outlets: Leviton versus Bryant

Just keep in mind that the wire AWG needs to be increased appropriately. If the run calls for 8AWG, you would probably need 6AWG or 4AWG depending on availability if using Aluminum. https://www.usawire-cable.com/pdfs/nec ampacities.pdf FYI, the second quote you quoted was not me saying it. NEMA 6-50 outlets: Leviton versus Bryant

I see some discussion about aluminum wiring. I have a bit of experience here. In car audio installations, it's common to use 4AWG and even 1AWG in higher power systems. When the price of copper went up to $10K a metric ton, several companies started selling CCA or Copper Clad Aluminum wire. CCA...

Sudden slow charging off NEMA 6-50 solved.

I'm posting this as a reference to anyone that has this problem currently or in the future. I have a NEMA 6-50 50A outlet in my garage that I use to charge. 2022 M3LR Dash buzz/rattle (not the normal one)

If it seems to be affected by AC temp, and it is down far enough to not really be able to tell exactly where the noise is, then it may be the same thing. Make sure to give as much info as you can to the service people. If it's intermittent, you really need to describe what circumstances cause...

Some of us want to hear our Subwoofer more than we hate road noise.

I used some "Edge Trim" that I had leftover from another project. Just search Amazon for "Edge Trim" Yes, there seems to be a bit more noise. I think I can hear the wine of the motor more and you can hear things in the trunk if they rattle or crinkle. The trade off is worth it for me personally...

Mine isn't the one from the "Fix" video. I removed the speaker grill and it still rattled. Tesla tried to fix it last Friday but it's still there so I need to make another appointment. I noticed that it doesn't rattle when my heat is on but once I turn on the AC and it cools down a bit, the...
