Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

Tessie has a good graph of energy usage for a given trip. The regen is displayed on the graph as a green trace so you can see if it is operating efficiently. This graph is of a longer drive to illustrate the data it captures for your drive. If you hover the cursor over the trace it will display...

Brake Regeneration - Low To Non-Existent (Aussie Site - Discussion)

Sorry to hear of your issue. I only experience the reduced regeneration when I have charged to 100% for a trip (2022 M3LR). I also get the blended braking icon on the screen until I lose a few % of charge but regen comes back within 5% loss. On Xmas Eve we had drinks with friends out of town...

    Range anxiety and broken chargers.

Selecting the Supercharger icon on the screen of the car will show you all nearby SC and the availability of stations at each so there is not issue there. 3rd party is another monster all together. I had checked on the Chargefox charger the night before (in Plugshare and the Chargefox app)...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Well there's another theory down. It can't be just 2022 models affected. Can it? I give up now. ;)

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

So, after some discussion around the traps it seems the adjustment is available for cars without the octovalve like your 2019. 2022 models are not able to set this it seems.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

This may have been part of the failed 40.1 update and your hire had it but that has been pulled and the official version at the moment is 36.6 issued after 40.1 was pulled. The owners (on 36.2 - 36.6) I talk with don't have the ability to change the setting. My settings only allows the option to...

Cabin overheat setting is only available to owners who use the Fahrenheit temp scale. At the bottom of the release notes it states that for those using Celsius the temp remains fixed at 40 deg C. I got 36.6 yesterday.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

From the notateslaapp.com website: Some users are reporting that they can not enable Live Sentry Mode because the button is missing from the UI. This appears to be a bug that may be fixed in an upcoming update.

    Model Y HUD upgrade

Very true but there are no HUD units that aren't fugly in their implementation to shine on the inside of the screen and they are difficult to integrate in to the Tesla CAN. Some owners have installed the small display unit that slots into the A/C vents in front of the steering wheel but it is...

    Model Y HUD upgrade

I had people telling me not to install a HUD but my partner wanted the front display of info. I installed the larger EVOffer system. Not cheap at USD$400 but a perfect fit. Unlike the Intel MCU versions the one for the Ryzen CPU is a quick install connecting to a spare CAN plug in the A pillar...

    Spare Tyre for Model 3

After receiving the first wheel from them with that rating I thought so too. But they sent me a wheel for another type of vehicle that didn't fit the Model 3. When they sent the correct wheel and tyre it came with a Kuhmo tyre rated at only 80 kph. In fact it is the same tyre fitted to the...

    Spare Tyre for Model 3

With the low profile tyres of the LR and P you are more likely to suffer a catastrophic failure from a tyre wall split like mine. Because the Hankook is an EV tyre it has a foam liner on the interior sidewalls to reduce noise and that gets destroyed in a pothole strike making the tyre...

    Spare Tyre for Model 3

I ordered the Modern Spare months before my 3 LR arrived last month. Travelled to Chatswood for pickup by train so the wheel stayed at home. Got a blow out on the front left wheel on the drive home from Sydney thanks to a huge pothole. Bent the rim as well. Didn't have the wheel in the car so my...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

So, I've been a member off these forums since the day I ordered my 3 LR. I've lurked here and sometimes contributed when I can. But this thread will be dead to me come Wednesday at 11am as I will be finally taking delivery at Chatswood. I have mainly been on Vedaprime where I found the service...

Yes. Trade-in is deducted from the drive away price including all taxes and on road costs. Not from the vehicle cost before taxes.

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

From other owners with personal plates Tesla has a template that they drill the holes in the plates to fit during pre-delivery. You just need to drop them to your pickup location or SA for them to do the work. I believe some locations even supply licence plate protectors with the Tesla logo.

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Yes you can. In fact it is the best option as adding to your order increases the price and sales tax goes up plus, depending on your chosen model, it may attract LCT. It will be available in your app along with acceleration boost if you ordered an LR. AB only for LR with front motor like the P.

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Having ordered before Xmas last year and, being delayed, my LR got the new additions from the January 2022 upgrades which was a bonus but not something I would have waited for. Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

The HPWC uses L1 to N to measure voltage drop across the unit in order to know when to trip the RCD circuit protection. L1 is measured as it can either be used in single phase or three phase operation so it is the obvious choice for measuring voltage drop. If your system is out of balance it...

The main frame of the 3 is designed to be agnostic in relation to the location of the driver. The firewall has two identical openings for the steering components. On each version (L or R) the unused opening mounts the MCU and the associated liquid cooling pipes for the MCU. Pedal mounts are also...

Yeah, I've seen this video. I have the storage box for this area of the console so not something I'd do. I have also seen some owners stick the tag to the back of the main screen out of sight but visible to the readers with some success.

I think the problem in NSW is with Service NSW (formerly RMS (formally RTA)) in that you can only collect the plates from their office where they are stored if you are placing them on a vehicle. You must supply the vehicle details (existing rego) and pay the relevant fees. Alternately, a dealer...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

I asked my SA about mounting my personalised plates (NSW - Chatswood delivery) and he said they don't do this. You have to swap them yourself after delivery. The only time they will do it is if your trade-in has plates to be transferred. They will do that for you in that case. I've heard from...

I have a partner who baulks at the centre screen so went with this to get her across the line for the purchase. To each his own. Sorry. I never stated it was my estimate. It was being bandied around. I also never heard the shutdown from social media. I first read a Reuters report discussing it along with the Y shutdown. Let’s end this now. It is of no value to this thread and only distracts from its purpose.

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

The "estimate" may well be a pipe dream. My whole point was to question the OP view that nothing much had been produced other than the Perth cars. The numbers listed here are only a representative fraction of the actual people being allocated cars. Not every Tesla purchaser uses social media...

I meant no offence with the statement and I'm sorry if you took it that way. The estimates going around are that Shanghai have produced up to 10000 AU and NZ cars in the last 10 days.
