Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Rationally I think you are right, but the loss makes me couldn't think rationally. I haven't seen the morale of this forum so low before. IRA thing is really a big problem to Tesla, and if Tesla lower the price to match the requirement, Shorts will say that the profit margin is going below 10%...
  2. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

not if every retail investor agrees with the 'growth". The problem now is many investors, a lot of them being Chinese investors, thinks the demand in China is declining, hence the opposite of "Growth". Their perception is based on the fact that Shanghai GF is reducing production rate.
  3. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

$107 is broken, now we are at $106.88. My God, we will see below $100 tomorrow.
  4. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The problem is that quite a few people are saying that TSLA China demands is dropping, and will not come back or grow again. To them that is a dooming scenario and thus SP should go to 60 or so.
  5. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Apparently, when SP goes good or not too bad, I don't have worries. Now, I need to have hear something positive from this place to HODL.
  6. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

After hour price action is not good. Approaching $107.00, with huge volume. More than 3.17 M as of 5:07 PM.
  7. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Currently TESLA doesn't have next generation model in pocket. So no Enron event I think, unless you mean "people are waiting next price drop/SuperCharge deal." And that is quite possible.
  8. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The problem now is that many are saying that Tesla should be valued as car company, with much lower P/E ratio, just like ford and GM. If that is true, then TSLA will be $20
  9. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Look at the NIO SP $10.9 and TSLA $124 Now we can say 124 is more than 10 times better than 10.9 :(:(:(
  10. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

If TSLA goes way above $1000 say $1100, and her wife asks where does the $200 (well, less the premium) extra profit go, then he will in an even bigger trouble.
  11. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

That was why you should have had a separate account(s) and invested in NIO. Now it is too late. Well, I had to tell my wife that too, so that she would realize that I was rich enough to buy a PlayStation 5 and take a couple days off work to play. Sad.
  12. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Can I Assume your house is $400k and that is 0.4% of the assets... so total assets is $100M?
  13. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Sounds interesting, i never think about that would you mind to give an concrete example with numbers to explain the concept deeper? Thanks
  14. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Well , what happened today makes me less sense of guilt to TSLA on cheating with NIO. Still, I didn’t sell any Tesla to buy NIO at all.
  15. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

It is really amazing to see Edison(s) finally cooperate with Tesla.
  16. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

My experience is that you sell covered call at a “possible” strike price only when you can accept seeking your share at that price. Otherwise just sell CC at an impossible price, say, for TESLA now, $630 short term
  17. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Really disappointed on the TSLA performance for the past 2.5 month and today. My NIO total value is on track of surpassing TSLAs.
  18. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Yes , as long as you remember one option corresponds to the 100 share
  19. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I am really wondering what's wrong with TSLA. In the past 2 month, my NIO stock grew 100% while TSLA is down by 5-10%. And the value of my NIO shares went up from a fraction of TSLA to more than 70%.
  20. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

    Frankfurt tl0 price dropped by $10 ? What’s going on? 451 usd
  21. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Weird leak on investing.com regarding to Q3 revenue and profit. What do you guys think? Reliable? Good? So so? Tesla Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q3 Mod: Tesla has not released earnings; the article is at best just wrong, and at worst a scam. Don't click. --ggr
  22. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I thought he was watching Frankfurt tl0 premarket price so that he could predict the TSLA share price of the next day.
  23. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I don't know. As far as I can see, Chevy Bolt are sold at $26500 or less in many dealers now in the US. How come the Game Over for Gas hasn't happened yet?
  24. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Tesla could be 10X market cap in 2030, but apparently need to go through many more rounds of capital raise in my opinion. So, SP won’t be 10X.
  25. Q

    TSLA Technical Analysis

Hi Curt, Don’t you feel that there is a “double head” formed already?
  26. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Anyone remembers the 5Bs Tesla raised in 2 weeks ago? Using the $5B, how many GWHs/yr can be produced using the new numbers Elon presented today?
  27. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The monthly price chart might form a technical double-head. Everyone be cautious. I am thinking of buy some put option but still want to bet on SP holding well... what a conflicted mind.
  28. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I start to doubt that battery day will bring in anything special. The reason is that there is a ceiling set by Elon: the battery density that makes Electric airplane might be achieved in FOUR YEARS. So what could happen this coming 9/22? I hope it will not be the already known 1Million Mile...
  29. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Anyone want to manipulate SP to close at 420.69? It is a one in the life time chance
  30. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

the new shares costs 5B in total. Divided by $480, it is 10M shares. Today's volume up to now is 69M; I hope the new shares are all sold out. Or maybe the new shares game doesn't work that way.
  31. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Man, didn’t realize it is so expensive. Looks like even if I make a million on TSLA, I still better keep my job and company group insurance.
  32. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Yes and as you all know that I am a worrier, I hope the SP won’t make TESLA employee distracted from their ACTUAL tasks and mission.
  33. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

i thought no body cares about SP500 now. Wait, what is that ?
  34. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I saw 457.95 so high 2287 something old price. I thought my mind calculation was wrong Now the split is done I think I can try some option trades

    The Neuralink Master Thread

As a person who use computer all day long, the first thing I want it to do for me is to control the mouse cursor so that my hands don’t need to leave the keyboard.
  36. Q

    The Neuralink Master Thread

Kind of disappointed... I was expecting a demo of someone implanted The Link to control a giant robot well at least a robot arm but I got to say that this technology will change our life and the society much more than EV does.
  37. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Not sure why you are looking at this article from April 10th. Totally out dated information. Maybe some is right at that time, but totally outdated. NIO is $20 today while at that time it is probably only $4 or less. A lot has changed.
  38. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Man, isn't TSLA options expensive? I do own a lot of TSLA shares and am paper rich, but I don't have couple thousand dollars of cash that I can play gambling on buy calls or puts
  39. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

damn I know why we need a split now. For SP above 2000 the option gap between strike is $50, like 2000, 2050, 2100... and for under it is $5. I think that is too risky. According to my ETRADE mobile app.
  40. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

lie. Oh oh, too rude. No, I mean, the $350 price was in March, in April it already started to back up. So the time in the story must have something wrong. Anyway, congratulations to you and your dad!
  41. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

This is what happened to me usually... I bought some Tesla share, thought it won't be my core share and I would sell it once I earn some money. The SP went down or flat, for a couple months, and then went above bought price. Then I would thought: "Let it become long term so that less % tax"...
  42. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

ok, I think "sacrifice" works. Friday I sold 4% of my share at $1650 , tried to time the market and buy back some time later. See what happens today. So next time if you feel the SP is too high, try it.
  43. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I start to understand the real impact of the 1:5 split... it is all on option trading. Totally different stories. The reason is simple: there is a UNIT of 100 shares, and for now I believe most traders are not able to afford the $1600 * 100 risk. If I have only 100 shares, to sell a covered...
  44. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Now I really think call/put options are not good for most of the cases, and has been used far from its original purpose, i.e., to hedge the risk. People simply take it as lottery and most of the time waste their money, and MM has strong motivation to manipulate the SP to rip off retail...
  45. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

1644 is where we camped the night before climbing not really , it’s macro
  46. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Another psychological effect of SPLIT : EPS absolute value will become even smaller. For positive one, that will look not so good; for negative one, it will not look that bad... all psychological
  47. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Couldn't sleep well because I kept dreaming (literrally) TSLA reached 1852 AFTER split, and in the dream I reached financial freedom. Reality: got up and sold 3 shares I bought at 1640 during last rally for $1642. They were in IRA account so I am waiting for a better price.
  48. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Or the other way around : squeezing those shorties who think it is fine now again
  49. Q

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Congratulations! I totally forgot the tool "call options"... maybe I should get out $30000 from my share position and try that. Hopefully today is not a "Once in a life time" event.
