Hopium got the best of you - again! I’m positioning exactly the opposite. Trying to roll the 135s weekly until they magically expire worthless or close to that and I can roll up for a credit.

I believe so. I’m just not taking part in the ecstasy because a) of course I’m partially on the losing side this time (my leaps are very happy this week) b) we’ve had numerous run-ups last year only to hit new lows shortly after c) I don’t think the economy as a whole is doing much better...

I agree with you, we have our history hahaha I'll try to roll for $1 a week - that covers all family expenses. If the roll dips below $1, then I'll most likely give up on shares and trail the SP with short puts until eventually I eat it that way. Worked pretty well in the past couple years...

Wish e-trade had a margin calculator that lets you simulate a share price... But in a nutshell, I verify every move with the margin calculator and make sure that it meets my rule for margin excess. That rule keeps getting more and more conservative, now that I'm managing a fairly large portfolio.
