Used M3 from dealer - register ownership on the app

As it turned out, I uploaded the sales invoice and my driving licence and the car become mine literally within 2 seconds!

Used M3 from dealer - register ownership on the app

I was originally told that I'd have to go through the lengthy process of providing to Tesla the car is mine, but I'm now told (by a different person) they they do have the Tesla on their app so they can in fact transfer it directly to me. We shall see, I'm getting the car today! 😁 Had my...

Used M3 from dealer - register ownership on the app

I've not looked on the laptop, only the app. I'll log on and see what's what. Cheers 👍🏻

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

Cheers. The dealer took the Frunk apart for me and yes, the car has the heat pump 👍🏻

Used M3 from dealer - register ownership on the app

Hi All 🙂 I should be getting my M3 LR FSD on Friday from an independent dealer. The dealer has told me that I register my ownership with Tesla via some kind of email where I included certain details about me and the car so they link it up. I've so read in here that the dealer can do a...

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

Not going for that one now. Should get a Long Range with full self drive next week, subject to confirmation that it has the heat pump (seller kindly taking cover off in the frunk to visually check. Question about insurance, with full self drive being a very expensive option, does this need...

    Thanks, a good point

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

Thanks. I was initially told the car had a heated steering wheel and heat pump. Now I've found out that it doesn't have the heated wheel - I can live with that. The car is a Refresh but doesn't have the wood extending to the doors so I think this indicates it's made in the USA not China...

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

Should get the car next week. Thanks again to everyone for helping me out on my decisions. I've downloaded the Tesla App - the garage tells me that it can take a while for Tesla to register me as the new owner to be able to gain access to the car remotely. In the mean time, does this mean...

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

I've managed to find late 2020 LR refresh with a heated steering wheel, but also full self drive, and 8k miles on the clock for a fair bit less than the modified one. Will probably put a deposit down in the morning! I grew up with Knight Rider and this car is literally like my childhood come...

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

Yes, could try that ref: previous owner. Regarding AB, has anyone got this, and do insurance companies know what it is?

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

Enhanced Autopilot is probably not something I'd use much but as a tech enthusiast as well as a car enthusiast, it really appeals to me. My current car drives almost autonomously on the motorway and I love it, and I know the Tesla will do this (probably better) out of the box, but the extra...

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

Range isn't generally important to be, I really just want the LR for the extra performance and for the better stereo, and for when I go on holiday. In that regard, heat pump/no heat pump, and big wheels affecting range isn't really an issue day to day. Interesting comments on the performance...

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

Good point about the wheels. I have read that the turbines are better for range than the previous Performance wheels though. On looking at the photos, I think that perhaps the rear lights have been smoked, which does smack of owner modification, along with the rear window tints. Perhaps the...

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

Thanks everyone for your replies. I'm getting the impression that the car probably does have the heat pump then. As for why I think it's important, perhaps I'm giving it too much weight, it's just that I read it does make the car more efficient and so given the choice, I'd rather have it...

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

Sorry, just seen the made in china comment. Would I be correct in saying that if the car has the black trim and handles, and the wireless charging pads this would indicate the car was made on China?

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

Thanks very much for the reply. Really useful. Lack of heat pump would be a big issue for me, so I need to be totally sure. Presumably the computer in the car can't give you details about spec?

Potential Model 3 buyer - spec question

Hi there 🙂. New to the forum, and found a used model 3 but I need some help please! It's a 2021 model, but registered in Dec 2020. It's not being sold at a dealer that knows a lot about Teslas so I'm not 100% confident in the info I'm getting (the car is not close enough for me to easily...
