Time for a new Model S

Lifetime average for my 2019 LR Raven after 19,700 km is 162 Wh/km. That's for mixed highway and regional driving with a little bit of City driving. A lot of hilly terrain. So yes, you can do >600 km with the LR Raven if your foot isn't too heavy.

    Efficient long drives...

Impressive! How much did you have left in the battery, also considering that you must have lost some range due to phantom drain?
  4. Dylanpete

    Efficient long drives...

I don't think that the country driving in QLD increased the gap. The Raven really uses energy in a more efficient manner.

    Efficient long drives...

This was my most efficient drive with the Model S Raven: 614.6 km at 138 Wh/km. I now have over 10k km on the Raven odometer and average lifetime consumption is 158 Wh/km. The average lifetime consumption for the 2015 M S was 178 Wh /km

    Max 3phase charging, Model S - AP2.0

I must agree with aegidius. That $2545 gives you much more flexibility and time saving. Going back to the original post of nick_tassi I note that he has a 3ph charger installed at work so I assume that there may be a need to charge the car during the day at work and there is a justified need to...

    Model 3 range display

In the older Model S we were able to chose which data/value we wanted to see on the display for the SOC. We could set % of charge or distance expressed as rated or typical. For the new Model S Raven we no longer have that choice between typical or rated range. Typical is a much more realistic...

    Max 3phase charging, Model S - AP2.0

Today I used my EVSE Maxicharger connected to a 32A 3ph socket to charge my new Raven Model S and as you can see from the pictures it was drawing max 24A, charging at max 18 kW (rounded figure) = 88 km/h added.

    Completing the Newell Highway

Goodiwindi would indeed be a great spot for some 3ph Destination AC chargers and DC fast chargers!

Traffic aware cruise control - initial set speed?

I meant it's counter intuitive because once using TACC and keeping your foot on the pedal the car wants to educate the driver to immediately get the foot off the acceleration pedal. In my model S I don't need to keep the foot on the pedal to scroll the speed that you want to drive, just one...

Traffic aware cruise control - initial set speed?

I am using the same work around as you do but while the current manual version says: “Release the accelerator pedal to allow Traffic- Aware Cruise Control to maintain your cruising speed.” release clearly means 100% release or let go.....because if you don't, you'll soon see a warning "Cruise...

Wiki Belgium and the Netherlands: Charging infrastructure (Thuis laden)

Bedankt Tozz, dat verklaart waarom die onduidelijkheid ook hier de kop opstak ;) Australia is een 3 fase markt. Ik laad hier thuis ook met 3 phase.

Wiki Belgium and the Netherlands: Charging infrastructure (Thuis laden)

Wiki Belgium and the Netherlands: Charging infrastructure (Thuis laden)

    Any Ravens arrived yet?c

Luke, do you mean single phase 32A? That would result in about 7.4 kW charging capacity. The UMC that we got after delivery here is capable of up to 16A max but 3ph corresponding to 11kW.
  18. Dylanpete

    Any Ravens arrived yet?c

It has become quiet here, no posts in the last month. Does that mean no Model X Ravens delivered yet in the UK? I'm interested to know what will be the max AC charging rate for those first deliveries, 16.5 kW or 11 kW? It may be not that important for the UK where you already have plenty of DC...

Tesla Supercharger V3: Everything You Need To Know

@Steven Loveday, you wrote "The new system will work to cut charging time in half and will benefit all Tesla models. It offers a ridiculous 1,000 mile-per-hour charging rate!" I've just seen the first video of insideevs showing the 1000 mi/hr. Could that 1000 mi/hr soon be surpassed considering...

Tesla adventure in Outback Queensland and North-QLD

Hi Chuq, just a quick answer from the airport lounge: the last I heard about that plugshare location is that there was a change in daily management and that they weren't sure if they could assure Tesla customers there would be space to park close to the workshop where the socket was located. So...

Tesla adventure in Outback Queensland and North-QLD

I'm currently Tesla travelling through beautiful Norway, what a splendid experience! Rockford, I 100% concur with what Whitestar answered you. 32A is the most common but you'll be happy to have a 20A adapter tail once in a while. And if you don't happen to find a 3 phase socket, the 15A single...

    Grid Support from Tesla cars

We may have a long way to go before we see V2H or V2G in Australia but in the long term it's the way to go.
