Hello Mr M. I have a Jeda hub and a Tesla Wireless phone charger which don’t fit my Model 3 — if you can use them, they are yours! I really appreciate your contributions.

    Tesla’s £50 PPF Kit

From memory, 4 pieces of PPF and a bit of plastic for getting the air bubbles out. Oh, and some instructions :)

    60 to 100amp fuse upgrade

I had an Andersen installed 4 weeks ago and they wanted me to show that I had an 80amp fuse before the installation, which I couldn’t do as the fuse was sealed and the label had been scratched off. I contacted Western Power and they were happy to arrange a free inspection and if necessary a free...

What did you do to your Tesla Model 3 today?

Thank you! Although I do have the factory white seats - they are just hidden now :). Mind you, I did find one downside of the seat cover perforations almost as soon as I had fitted them — one of my cats jumped in the car and discovered that the seat made a splendid scratching post!

What did you do to your Tesla Model 3 today?

The set came from Torque Alliance.... Model 3/Y: Middle Console Cover Set (ABS+coating) they are easy to fit. The only thing I’m not keen on is the raised bit to hold a key card, but in practice with arm rest/cubbyhole lid down, I don’t notice it.

What did you do to your Tesla Model 3 today?

Thanks. They are the Taptes Nappa covers and I was pleasantly surprised by their quality and fit. I only went with the front covers as I don’t often have a car full. You probably can’t see clearly from my photo, but the outer part is similar to the design of the actual seats, however the centre...

What did you do to your Tesla Model 3 today?

AO seem to have automatically cancelled my order, so I dare say I may never know!

What did you do to your Tesla Model 3 today?

@KennethS has highlighted the one I ordered will not fit (LHD) so I have the chance to buy this one! Thanks to you both :)

What did you do to your Tesla Model 3 today?

Hello KennethS, No, I hadn’t twigged that there was a difference - thanks. Funnily enough I was just scratching my head wondering why AO had just refunded my order - they’re probably cleverer than me and realised the problem as they were shipping to the UK. I need to read the details a bit more...

What did you do to your Tesla Model 3 today?

Where did you get the mesh? I’ve got one on order from AO which seems to be a lot of holes in a plastic sheet. I think maybe the mesh would not impede the airflow as much.

I’ve been buying accessories whilst waiting for my M3 LR. I picked it up today and it has wireless phone charging and USB-C connectors. Does anyone want to make me an offer for a Tesla Model 3 Wireless Phone Charger (I did open this box to have a look, so the box is not sealed) and a Jeda USB...

Fed up. Price increase just before pickup

Thanks! I suppose I'm disappointed as I had a vague recollection after following this forum for months and months that Tesla would just adjust for the latest price. It had honestly not occurred to me that I would get a flat "no" and it's impossible to contact anyone to discuss it.

Fed up. Price increase just before pickup

A combination of Covid and the spec I choose, with the sports wheels and a towbar, resulted in the long delivery time - it wasn't a planned delay. It was scheduled for 31st August, but they did kindly agree to delay it by a day.

Fed up. Price increase just before pickup

The car is LR AWD, white, white, towbar, 19" wheels, so the current website price is £50,440. My invoice price is £51,440 with that about to rise to £51,940. :(

Fed up. Price increase just before pickup

I ordered "my" M3 LR on 11 March just catching the £3500 grant. I finally got my pickup date of 1st September -- yay! I've made my down payment and all is well. This afternoon I got a call from Tesla to check everything is okay. I mentioned that my invoice price is £1000 higher than the current...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

Hello @DanAndTheBeard, that’s interesting. Do you know what that means for folk like me who have a pickup scheduled for 31 August? I always assumed that one couldn’t drive before the official reg change date.

Is there dislike towards EV drivers in the UK?

Three of my friends have bought new cars in the last twelve months, all moving from diesel to petrol - two of them to hybrid petrol. Their reactions when they found out I had a Tesla on order were ones of interest and defensiveness - they seemed to want to justify why a full EV was not suitable...

    Anderson A2 Charger

That really does look very nice. Mine has been delivered, but is still sitting in its box. The installation is on hold because my home's incoming fuse does not have a value label and Western Power can't come out to check or upgrade it for a month. We'll get there in the end :)

Jail time for adjusting wipers? (software dreams inside)

I blame the BBC for being slow, bless them :)

Jail time for adjusting wipers? (software dreams inside)

Likewise. I thought that if a vehicle had type approval for a particular market, then that was it - it complied with all the necessary regulations.

Jail time for adjusting wipers? (software dreams inside)

Moderator comment - thread merged with "Jail time for adjusting wipers? (software dreams inside)" The BBC have picked up a story from Germany that a driver has been fined for adjusting his wipers via the Tesla touchscreen whilst driving! He did crash, mind you. The court used the same law as...

    The Model 3 - 2020 Q3 Order Thread

They told me the week before last that they have the discretion to delay a booked appointment by up to 7 days without unmatching, but really, who knows how it works - it seems to change depending who you speak to.

Washington Supercharger - WARNING - Now issuing £100 parking fines

Just thinking out loud, but it’s going to be difficult to prove signs weren’t there at the time. It would never occur to me to take a photo under normal circumstances. I’m not saying their tactics are in any way okay, but just tricky to challenge.
  35. W

Invoice price vs latest price - which one?

I wonder. I must confess that that hadn’t occurred to me! If that’s the case it’s probably not worth arguing the toss with Tesla in my case.

Invoice price vs latest price - which one?

I ordered a M3 LR / white / white / towhitch / 19" wheels in early March and the invoice price is £51,440 with the £3,500 grant. Telsa are still saying that is the price I will pay, but if I put it through the website now, even with the reduced £3,000 grant, it comes to £50,440. It's not a huge...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

Am I going mad? (Don't answer that.) I ordered a M3 LR / white / white / towhitch / 19" wheels in early March and the price then was £51,440 with the £3,500 grant. I'm ready to make the downpayment and Telsa are still saying that is the best price, but if I put it through the website now, even...

    Anderson A2 Charger

Ha, I’m in the same boat with the car (probably literally) and my Andersen A2 is apparently being shipped to me tomorrow, but the installation is on hold as I don’t know what our main house fuse is - someone has unhelpfully scratched the label off it. One of the things that attracted me to the...

Woo, hoo! Just got a text: I can pick up my M3 LR white/white/towbar/19” wheels between 14th and 20th of August! I ordered on 11th March.
  43. W

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

Yes, I’ve got an Andersen on order and they told me that they had had OLEV grant applications rejected due to lack of a firm delivery date. I got a delivery estimate email from Tesla (saying mid to late August) which I forwarded and they seemed okay with that. Mind you, I’ve not got the charger yet!
  44. W

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

That's a little disappointing - that's the car I'm waiting for and I'd assumed that a bonus of the wait would be usb-c and wireless charging.

    White seat covers? Thoughts?

You have to laugh! Mid to late August is what I’ve been told for the car; the seat covers, who knows! :) I’ve been buying way too many accessories during lockdown. There is a possibility that my Jeda hub will be useless too, if they have changed Model 3s to USBC!
  46. W

    White seat covers? Thoughts?

“Free Shipping (9-20 working days)” (!!!). Mind you, even if they had arrived, I couldn’t tell you how they fitted as no car yet either!
  47. W

    White seat covers? Thoughts?

I can certainly confirm this! I placed an order for their white covers for the front seats in mid April. No sign of them yet :(
  48. W

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

Yes, that's the change. I've just taken your advice and been told "any price changes will be made when there is a vehicle matching your specification arrives" and "no need to reorder." So thanks for the suggestion - the difference will pay for the wall charger!
  49. W

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

I hope they will do the right thing, but I've no idea who you would even negotiate with. Reordering is an option, but having waited so long, I'm reluctant to loose the car.
