    I have a Karcher and it has a vario power lance that is perfect for the car and a standard pressure washer lance that I can use for the ground. Although I picked up a T-Racer surface cleaner for the drive/patio as it won’t flick stones and dirt everywhere.

    Just to be clear on the 250kW. The LG will hit that as I have done that with a charger. I suspect you meant it drops down from 250kW earlier.

    There’s limited data on the European side to be conclusive. I looked at some similar YouTube videos using dragy, on a road rather than a track or drag strip.     Despite the difference in battery output the acceleration is not impacted. Lower SoC will be interesting. Really he needs to have 2 cars with each battery and test them back to back. At least you will be able to do this now.

    I see Bjorn Nyland has tested the 0-60 of the MYP. It’s running at 3.88s. Looking at US tests they are also 3.88-3.91s. Basically the same.

    Pirelli PZero for the BMW. We can’t really just compare tyres. It’s very hard to do this when it’s a manufacturer variant like Tesla T0. The compound, grip etc. can and almost certainly will be different. Getting those low 3s 0-60 times needs a really good tyre.

    Depends on your driving habits and if it is very new then it will take a while to calibrate the battery. On the way back from France I left mine at a supercharger and it got to 530km and was still going at 3kw even though the battery had reached 100%. There’s probably a few more miles there but...

    No problems with my Q2 2022 M3P. No clicking or blowing on my knees. I adjusted the upper vent down a bit as it was blowing in my face and drying my eyes but apart from that all is good.

    So it is possible the category 3 change is a part in this assembly, possibly then enabling the higher output in the CoC documentation. If there is a schematic for both of these assemblies we may be able to spot the different part number in there somewhere.

    Do we know the torque and power vs rpm curves for these motors? There must be a physical difference somewhere. They wouldn’t have changed from a cat ii to cat iii without some kind of difference. Is the 260kw the output from the shaft or the consumed power value?

    Do we know yet what was actually changed between the 3D6 cat. ii and cat. iii? Changing both battery and electric motors at the same time and only allow the new battery to be used with the new electric motor was not a coincidence.

    Good to know. Having experienced the previous vehicle and now the new one I can’t tell any difference between them. Seems like it is so subtle that we probably wouldn’t even see a difference in a drag race. More data points for the LG would be very useful especially in the same conditions, road etc.

    2022.16.3 just got the notification. Auto brake when regeneration is not available is nice, will keep the car consistent when the battery is full. Accounting for weather forecast in the range is also pretty useful!

    The cat iii is 235 kw. We only have 1 data point, max input power (same as cat ii) and max output power (higher than cat iii). We need to see the full power consumption to power output curve across the entire rpm/speed range. Also I doubt the cat ii is anything like 97% across it’s entire rpm range.

    The max power consumption is equal to the cat ii so it must be producing more power/has less losses. Equal max power consumption but higher power output. Someone needs to run these cars against each other, maybe like Matt Watson.

    3L with the cat iii higher power motors are not cleared for sale in Europe. They have cat ii. Only the 5L can legally have the cat iii. Consult the other thread if in doubt.

    The Panasonic ones do not have the latest motor. That was never applied for in the conformance documentation. As we know from the other thread the max power consumption specs of the new motor are the same but it outputs more power. It runs more efficiently.

    The power and efficiency increased. It’s discussed in this thread Model Year 2022 Refresh M3/MY Up to 9% more efficient. We would have seen the range drop with the new battery which we have not. Hairpin winding on the stator is one of the changes.

    I’m in a terrace in London but do have a drive so don’t have an issue. However if I didn’t I would have a cut out into the pavement so that I could run the cable through it.

    Mine was dirty and had zero swirls. I did see some car washing going on but either they weren’t washing them all or they weren’t doing more than a quick rinse. I gave the car a detailed at the weekend.

    Plus the tyres can be different. For example an off the shelf Pirelli PZero is going to be different from a T0. Different compounds, different grip, noise levels etc.

    This worries me also. I’ve been waiting 3 months for a smart meter. They keep telling me there are none available but I just got one installed on another property a couple of streets away under a different energy provider. I’ll be jumping ship from them if they don’t sort it soon.

    Mine’s charging at 32A right now. Are you sure it’s not a variable load system that is blocking it or you have accidentally reduced the charging A in the settings? Also mine is showing 342 miles for full charge.
