Model 3 - Built In Air Freshener? Can't find it.

It is definitely an aftermarket thing and not something available from new. And as it happens every time it was not a software update as it would be broke by the next iteration- according to some posters 😉

[uk] Public charging - the media may have a point

I have been to Gretna twice, but not got to use the Tesla SC’s as there was a queue each time, so I used one of the two unused gridserve chargers beside them whilst others ignored them! Not going there in any hurry though.

Bonnet keeps opening on its own

I have had a single instance last Saturday. Parked at home. I was walking away from the car and heard the frunk clunk unlock as i was expecting the walk away car lock. I put it down to the app on my phone being touched as it went in my pocket. I can tell you the difference to your case because...

Abington update as at yesterday. The 8 x WB Applegreen chargers beside the Tesla SC's now all have covers on them as if work complete and just waiting to be commissioned.

    first MOT extension....maybe

I think this is part of the much vaunted levelling up, so as to allow England to gain parity with NI where 4 years for first MOT is already the norm without too much trouble.

Model Y Tire Flat Tyre Issue & Advice

I bought a heavy duty jack, wheel brace breaker bar and socket and pucks and put them in the boot with a plug repair set and inflator. Just in case. I feel more confident with that on board.

I had one of those red wheel and abort autopilot yesterday which I put down to low bright sunshine dead ahead blinding the cameras. All was ok as soon as I turned away.

Update on Abington Services Called this afternoon for a quick splash and dash. The Applegreen chargers are still not commissioned. There is a further expansion to the left of the Tesla SC area that I could not work out, but has more conduit coming up from concrete ground structures

Wiki UK and Ireland Supercharger Site News

I dont see this as a bad thing as they will also be available to all Tesla users - see my comment on Abington Services above. Having banks of chargers in the same way that we have seen with Tesla SC's is the way to go. As long as they are maintained, they will enable the transition to EV's.

Abington should shortly be more favourable. There are the 6 x Tesla SC as well as the 2 Gridserve points that have been established for a while, but now there are 8 x Applegreen rapid chargers at 175kW speed already built and shortly to be commissioned. The Tesla bays can be seen on the left.

    Limited company purchase

Just remember that the idea is more like an Amazon delivery for most of us. Simple and no frills. By way of your Merc comparison, you could have it handed over by a man/woman in a suit in a slick store with a big bow and a large bunch of flowers as an optional extra: add £1000. Most of us have...

    Limited company purchase

You can buy it and claim reimbursement from the company or you can have the company make the payment to the insurance company. Six of one or half a dozen of the other. If you are moving your current NCB and insurance to the current car then your insurer will be well familiar with the deal.

Charge Place Scotland Tariffs by Council

Admin charge per use probably. It will usually be for a place with a charger installed and the credit card cost is the main admin cost, then accounting for the transaction- if they are not a big establishment. They will usually be paying a set fee per transaction on credit cards, and it can...

Would a m3 work for me or should I stick to a diesel

The accountant should tell you the cost/ benefit / tax options of taking a BEV vs ICE and the lease/purchase/ cost options. That advice should have been clear, get a BEV. The accountant does not tell you which one is best for you - that is your call. From all you say a M3LR will cover your...

    Macclesfield to Elgin and return

Just to update - in case it turns up on a search! The Abington services now has an additional 8 rapid chargers almost ready to open, so with 2 x gridserve and 6 Tesla bays should give plenty of filling options. I have not yet got there and checked their prices and they are not yet on zapmap...

Would a m3 work for me or should I stick to a diesel

The OP here will be claiming the charging as a business expense, so using a SC on a long journey should not be a problem. I reckon it is hard to do a 200 mile journey without coming close to a SC or a working Gridserve or Applegreen etc. Taking a 20 minute comfort break is an easy adaption on a...

The answers are still the same as when you asked the same question in May asking about a Model Y and WannabeOwner gave you a long and sensible set of answers then and now. Did you speak to your accountant? You said then that you did lots of motorway miles and about 25k miles per year. You have...

    Supercharger price mismatch?

I don't think that you should waste a moment of your time on a futile mission! I think they are obviously aware of it as it appears to be noticed by several owners on several different sites and it is probably at the end of a very long "to do" list!

This is normal at the moment where there are different peak and off peak prices. It shows on screen at the peak price even when off times. However your billing is correct at the reduced rate. [UK] used value of their Tesla cars plummeting?

[UK] used value of their Tesla cars plummeting?

There is a state rebate for cars below a certain price in China, and they have reduced the price to take advantage of it, as is about to happen too in the USA in my opinion when the IRA comes into force in January. The increased production capacity in China and the similar increase in Berlin...

What I would like on one of these updates is some indication when the speed drops or won’t increase because of “fleet speed” interference. It happens too regularly and is very confusing when you can see on the screen the speed limit and the limit you have set eg both set at 60, and the car...
