2023 model Y no ultrasonics. There is no blind spot warning chime setting under aupilot settings.

The front camera would be worthless, it's the same view you have outside your windshield. There's nothing that says you can view the front camera with the parking/camera button, only sentry/dashcam.

Cybertruck announce prices may actually happen

The point is that many truck owners weren't originally in the market for a truck. Most truck owners in the US don't use it as a truck. Something like 75% of truck owners tow 1 time or less per year and 70% have never taken their truck off road. How is it more necessary on a truck? Do you have...

Cybertruck announce prices may actually happen

Maybe you are in a hurry or just have issues reading, but the whole point what I said is that people came to the Ford dealership looking for a sedan (Fusion was cited) and they didn't have them, because they stopped selling them, and people were buying Mavericks. I never said any sedans were...

Cybertruck announce prices may actually happen

    1. That was the point of what Ford released. People came to buy a Fusion and bought a Maverick. 2. It doesn't matter about subpar suspension. If there's value and range, it will sell to people who wouldn't normal like the CT design or even Tesla. That's not really debatable...the level of which...

Cybertruck announce prices may actually happen

Yes, EV trucks...the topic at hand...and your second point is false. If the CT is low cost and provides additional value and utility, it will sell. There were a ton of people who purchased a Ford Maverick who were at Ford Dealerships looking for a sedan (Ford posted some numbers on this, but...

Vehicle range analysis in app under Service menu

It was a bit of a joke, new features are still added. There are more and more things that separate legacy from refresh now and that list seems to grow with each update. Seems some owners are upset about this.
  7. U

Vehicle range analysis in app under Service menu

    Legacy=almost forgotten to Tesla...true.
  8. U

Cybertruck announce prices may actually happen

I don't think either of these points are valid or logical. Ford is barely breaking even on the Lightning and have closed down sales (again) for 2023. What company, that makes trucks, has the capability to produce more than Tesla? This isn't just about Tesla's ultra efficient process, but...

    Tesla S Plaid battery

This isn't completely true. It's possible that's it's battery degradation, but it's determined by the BMS which needs to be reset/re-calibrated from time to time. My 2021 MY with 30,000 miles was reading 276, but after I reset the BMS (per the advice of a mobile tech) it now reads 324 miles at...

I paid full price for this car, why am I forced to deal with so many ads?

if your post was just about the Loot Box, it would be reasonable as there are others that had a notification for it, but with the added "8% of the menu is ads" troll...no one is taking it seriously.

I paid full price for this car, why am I forced to deal with so many ads?

Did you re-install the app at one point? My wife and I have one had the original and none since. Even when we upgrade phones each year, it's not there.
  12. U

I paid full price for this car, why am I forced to deal with so many ads?

You get 1 notification when you first get the app/car, then you shouldn't ever again unless you agree to the terms and conditions.
  13. U

I paid full price for this car, why am I forced to deal with so many ads?

    1. You have to opt in to get ads from the loot box. That's why most have never received them. It says it on the screen if you open it. 2. I think the OP knows he's being a troll about "ads" in the menu with the upgrade option. Those used to be only available on the website and were put there as...

    AutoPark Not working

The slow auto park is really worth all of that work? It's much faster and easier to park myself. It's likely going to be disabled with FSD Beta until they add the parking lot stack into v11.X. I've seen nothing of substance saying it will be in the first public version, but it's possible.

FYI: My opinion is Model 3 > Model S

The M3P (even the MYP) feel much faster off the line. The M3P is actually slightly faster 0-60 in real world tests, but the MSLR is pretty significantly faster after that (about a full second faster in the 1/4 mile in real world testing). The Model 3 is just too small for me and I really feel...

2021 Model Year Refresh: Owners' Thoughts?

Must have been a shortage thing that some December-March builds got 16 gb and some got 8 gb.

2021 Model Year Refresh: Owners' Thoughts?

My 2022 MS LR was built Feb 4 and has 8gb. How do some from December have 16?

Holiday update? what can we expect?

V10 originally released in September. edit: September 26, 2019 was the date it began to roll out to users. The 2019 Holiday release included save sentry on honk, voice commands, Driving Visualization improvements (showed writing on ground), read/respond to text, and 2 new games. I'd say that...

Holiday update? what can we expect?

That was the case last year. It's not the norm. The holiday update historically was just a lot of cool things and requested features, which this delivered. Last year we got UI11, UI 9 and 10 were not Holiday updates. Would you disagree that this update provided a longer list of new features...

Holiday update? what can we expect?

Trip Cards, Auto Turn SIgnals, Track mode were not for the S/X...MYQ, Apple Music, Dog mode, MYQ are for everyone. The autopilot improvements will come with v11, but it's obviously missed it's 100th window. I think most would agree with autowipers. Seems Tesla just sucks at that. The auto...

Holiday update? what can we expect?

What was delivered was basically the top request from Tesla owners outside of Carply/AA. It's not going to make everyone happy, but Apple Music, Track mode in the Y, auto turn signals 3/Y, Steam, trip cards, and MYQ were all top request delivered in a single update...with additional things.

2020 Model X legacy means no more firmware updates?

I can almost assure there won't be a MCU2 to MCU3 conversion. Elon didn't suggest or say anything about an MCU2 to 3 upgrade. He mentioned an upgrade for MS/X users with 8gb of memory vs the new cars with 16
  25. U

2020 Model X legacy means no more firmware updates?

Yes, there are things the refresh can do that yours likely will never do, but it's newer. Yours is still supported and will get updates. Again, being on Beta, you are being main release and 36.20 is the most current version for the large pool of testers. We hope to get another, either v11 or...
  26. U

2020 Model X legacy means no more firmware updates?

You have the newest version of FSD Beta available. That's why you haven't received an update, there's nothing to update to, yet.

    FSD Beta 10.69

I assume the 2022 S has IR. I also wear polarized sunglasses 95% of the time with blue mirrored exterior lenses.
  28. U

    FSD Beta 10.69

Yes, about a 4 mile stretch in Columbia and then all through Atlanta....plus getting off to SC the rest was NoA.
  29. U

    FSD Beta 10.69

I don't keep my hand on the wheel for turns and typically take them off at redlights/stop signs..so I guess there is variation, but no...I can go long drives with 0 nags, even on city streets.
  30. U

    FSD Beta 10.69

I don't have anything setup to record myself, but I drove to Atlanta from Columbia SC last week and didn't see one nag the entire trip. My wife handled my phone and music and I honestly just don't look for them. So they could pop up, but I don't notice. I don't have any strikes on either car.
  31. U

    FSD Beta 10.69

2022 MS LR. I also have a 2021 MY with Beta (I've had 2 with Beta). I almost exclusively used a wheel weight until recently and could make a whole trip without a nag. I've never used a weight with my MS, but it's easy enough to rest a hand on it.
  32. U

    FSD Beta 10.69

I do not experience that almost 17k miles using NoA/FSD Beta. Edit: Again, not saying I've never seen a nag, but if I rest a hand or even fingers on the yoke and look forward...I don't. I don't even look for them because it's not an issue. I get them when I play too much looking for a song or...
  33. U

    FSD Beta 10.69

I don't get any nags unless I check my phone, but even then I can check my phone on the charger while keeping my head straight and not get nags. Are you saying you still get nags with consistent wheel torque and looking forward?
  34. U

    FSD Beta 10.69

I can put a finger on the yoke and it satisfies wheel nag...it doesn't take much. Maybe something is wrong with yours?
  35. U

What are your most common intervention scenarios?

Those and railroad tracks...forgot about those.
  36. U

    Holiday Update & FSD

Probably unlikely. I would bet whatever version of FSD makes the cut; 10.69.3.X or V11 would be packaged with a .44 release, but it's impossible to say.
  37. U

What are your most common intervention scenarios?

Turning lanes, School Zones, Busses, Construction Zones are all pretty consistently intervened for me.
  38. U

    Holiday Update & FSD

If you have 2022.40.4.2 you would be able to get either 2022.40.4 or 40.5, but we don't know that will be the final build number. Until we see it rolling out to actual testers, everything is a guess.
  39. U

    Holiday Update & FSD

Where did this rumor come from that V11 would merge the releases? There's been nothing from Tesla stating this. It seems more obvious that there will continue to be Beta and non-Beta builds from testing taking place.
  40. U

    FSD Beta 10.69

I thought an employee testing it said that you could not, but maybe they were full of crap.

How to sue Tesla over historical claims

They announced that those features were being removed before any deliveries. Just like those who purchased a vision only car, they notified buyers prior to or at delivery as we've seen here from numerous people. It's similar to the Vision only message they sent. Even if they hit "acknowledge"...
  42. U

How to sue Tesla over historical claims

You'd have to prove that you are missing features that were promised when you purchased the car. For someone who received a car without USS, they didn't technically purchase the car until they accepted delivery and that was known at the time...so doubtful. Radar would be even more difficult as...

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

Right, which is why I don't buy the rumors of "Tesla isn't going to release v11 wide to employees or YT testers because they don't want to spoil the Holiday surprises" that are going around. I really doubt they release v11 to everyone without the normal testing cycle, but I suppose it's possible.
  44. U

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

Because I know several employees who do not have it. They always get them before YT testers. I didn't say no employees had it, it just hasn't gone out wide to employees.
  45. U

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

What do you mean by v11 for non-FSDB? Just like with the February, End of Summer, and Thanksgiving timelines the elusive v11 is such a large change, that they keep pushing it back, but there's no reason to believe that AP cars will go to single stack before it's tested en mass with Beta...

Refresh Model S/X yoke controls owners survey

He was lying. My car was made February 2022 and according to the service tech the other day, it doesn't have the ability to engage a horn under the airbag.
  47. U

Refresh Model S/X yoke controls owners survey

It's more comfortable, I like the turn signals more, I like the view...not only of the road by the screen. I really LOVE auto shift (not directly related, but stalkless). It's way better for FSD Beta and NoA for just the right leverage. With the yoke, the car feels exciting and fun every...

Refresh Model S/X yoke controls owners survey

All ADAS systems available to the consumer are a party trick in that view. Most require more attention than Tesla does that allows some flexibility in holding the wheel vs not holding and looking away to do things like change something on the screen. The autopark in Tesla sucks....it's...
