    Canada - FSD rollout

I think the single stack FSD version is 2022.40.5. I also installed 2022.36.20 today but have the flu so didn't check release notes on the car or drive...mostly because I was sure it wasn't the single stack version. Holding my breath if it's going to be as groundbreaking as they make it sound...

Looks like the latest version started last night, which includes the updates non fsd builds have been getting plus full stack...likely a week or so before it goes wide but early testers have it...

Then I have to control the app from my phone vs using the streaming interface on the touchscreen. Really sneaky they hop onto your cell connection for this...you can't even disable data sharing:

PSA for those of you that are in FSD Beta and tether their phones to stream music, etc while driving.... Apparently when you tether, any data the car is sending back to Tesla now goes through your phone and not through Tesla's cellular connection. I'm pretty sure at least. I got an email today...

Have you tried rebooting your car? Hold the scroll wheels down on the steering wheel for about 5 seconds. Hope that helps.

Yup, had the notification when I left work today. Downloaded when I got home and installed already. Will see what the drive tomorrow holds.

    Canada - FSD rollout

After a week with 10.69.2 I can definitely say it's much improved over previous releases. I'm still not sure how long it will take to be really, really good. For now you still have to pay attention, but this is a step forward. The previous couple updates didn't really seem different to me. This...

    Sentry mode and 'low' battery

You can override this now. You have to re enable it in the app though, so if it drops below 20 overnight it will stay off until you re enable it. I think it shuts off at 5 or 10% again. If you have superchargers that close, why not charge for 2 min to get to 25 or 30%?

I'm curious about speed bumps. Do they show up on your touch screen as detected objects? What do they look like (false coloured, etc)?

Echoing what others have said about the first day with the new version, it seems better in the couple problem areas I have come to know on my commute. Though, I'm still waiting 4 years later for NoA to realize the HOV lane in Burlington is an HOV lane though :) every time I put NoA on it wants...

Overnight I got a notification for 2022.20.15 (10.69.2). Installing now so let's see what happens on my work commute. 69.1.1 did do a little better with speed on offramps and general smoothness turning. But I have had a couple right turns where it hammered the accelerator for no apparent reason...

    Canada - FSD rollout

I got 69.1.1 last week. A few others posted in here they got it, but I expect it wasn't a wide release to existing beta testers. 69.2 is supposed to go wider and release notes are out so it should hopefully not be long...but who knows with Tesla.

    Canada - FSD rollout

How quickly did you get the strikes? It's pretty tough to get them, but the next version should be out wide in a few days maybe a week. Are you on 10.69.1.1 now? I'm wondering if the strike reset will be a one time deal or if those that got 69.1.1 and accumulated a strike would again get reset...

Guys and gals, please stop feeding the troll. This guy acts like he knows everything, and everyone else needs to be spoken to like we are children. No matter how much logic you apply, just let him (or her) have their opinion. As tempting as it is to try and reason with a brick wall, it's...

    Canada - FSD rollout

Did the drive to and from work today. Limited data but on the offramps it didn't speed off like Mad Max, which is good. It did seem like the right and left turns were more smooth with less jerky wheel motion. When it turned off into my subdivision it took the right turn and hammered the...

Sucks to hear. I was hoping for an improvement. Especially to justify the cost going to 20k now. Maybe that was done to prevent those that paid 8-12k from complaining 🙃 I'm at least hoping the new update doesn't drive 120km/h on offramps like the current version. I guess I'll find out tomorrow...

    Canada - FSD rollout

Man, I gotta say I'm getting more and more bothered by how FSD handles offramps. So many times it actually accelerates to 120 km/h when the ramp is clearly marked as 60km/h. I would love to see the Tesla safety score for dad drives. It's funny because the way fsd drives it would be getting...

Car is sounding like it is straining, in the wrong gear?

That's odd. There is no gearing in model 3. Only the Porsche Taycan had a 2 speed gearbox I think. Do you have any loss of power? You mentioned it sounds like it's straining, but how does it feel if you punch it? You could make a service appointment though the app and describe the issue...

Enables the same as AP. Basically functions like AP when you dont have a destination in the NAV, but at a dead end intersection it will make a right turn. Other than that it's pretty much like AP with no destination in NAV. When you have a destination, it will do it's best attempt at get you...

    Canada - FSD rollout

So for me today I'd say this is improved. Still not robotaxi ready, but an improvement in my commute to and from work today. There were a couple things that showed improvement: More assertive making left turns (and to some degree right turns). Admittedly the turns I did today we're easy, clear...

2022.12.3.20 is the version right? Got back to the car on the way home to work, and there was a download notification pending. Canada - FSD rollout

One thing to share here that I was glad to see: automatic disengagement due to speed over 120 km/h doesn't count as a 'forced autopilot disengagement' This morning on the way to work I had cruise set to 121km/h. I didn't think much about it and for most of the drive I was around 115. Then at...

    Canada - FSD rollout

That's an interesting question. FSD does transfer with the car, so I'm guessing that the beta would as well (otherwise they would need to downgrade your software). I guess they could force push a software update. Anything is possible. I'd say for sure that selling the car and advertising it as...

You should definitely reach out to them now to have it corrected. It took a while for FSD to show up in my account despite having paid for it (after delivery). This was 3 years ago and there were no FSD options available (Navigate on Autopilot hadn't even been released yet if I recall...or...

    Canada - FSD rollout

Very well said. I am in full agreement. Let's also not forget how nervous we all were when first driving, when we had our first winter snow storm, when we first hydroplaned or slid on ice. It's not joking when I say the car drives (sometimes) like a 14 year old. But the nature of the neural...

    Canada - FSD rollout

This is partly true (at least from the limited test I did). In another quick test I tried I was in a turning lane... Well, what a normal human would call a turning lane: the lane continued just past the stoplight and then merged about 100 feet after, and it was marked on the road as a right turn...

    Canada - FSD rollout

By regular AP I mean not having a destination in the NAV. I guess I assumed for the car to make turns, etc it would have needed to have a destination in the NAV as before it would not make a turn on a 'dead end' But I guess now that I think of it, it would have to do what it did because it has...

So, I 'thought' something happened last week when coming home from work but also wasn't sure if I was imagining it...turns out I wasn't: I was NOT in FSD and just had regular AP enabled when coming off the highway. I turned into a lane that was turning right and had painted lines on the road...

Ah, that makes sense. Those are the parking sensors I guess. Thought those were the ones newer cars didn't get since they transitioned to 'all vision'

    Canada - FSD rollout

Those of you with radar enabled cars, it seems my radar is still enabled on fsd. While driving the small arcs indicating curbs or close cars still come up. I thought I read somewhere that fsd disables radar so it operates like newer cars without radar but that doesn't seem to be the case.

    Canada - FSD rollout

There's no trick, you just have to wait for it to show up. They haven't added any new cars for the last week or so it seems, some of us on here have the update and others are still waiting. I think they are going to expand it when the software becomes more stable on Canadian roads. I took FSD...

    Canada - FSD rollout

After driving in this morning I think there have been some improvements in reducing the jerkiness and hesitation in turning. At least on my limited drive, but there are a couple turns it would consistently take in a very shaky method before. This morning those same 3 turns were smooth. Still...

When you guys have FSD interventions are you reporting them to Tesla? I guess the way to do that is to tap the film camera icon, or in these later versions are forced disengagements automatically shared? I've had a few doozies and probably should have hit the film icon (if that's the reporting...

Autopark pretty much doesn't work without fsd beta either 😄...it's gotten better but it takes forever and if anyone is waiting/watching it makes you look like a moron because it takes 30 seconds to back up into a spot that should take 5 seconds.

While not ready to hand off to someone who doesn't like being a guinea pig, my opinion is beta is not 'totally unuseable'. It's kind of like having a 14 year old kid driving and you're trying to let them learn their own mistakes 😏 It's far from perfect so you have to temper expectations, but...

There's a tonne of Tesla's around Burlington, so I bet it's more likely this is same old Tesla randomly rolling out releases. Eventually everyone with get it. They released to a subset, and will use this rollout to fix some bugs and everyone will be happy soon.

You can definitely use brakes, but also have to be careful not to be too aggressive. I actually find (found) it easier to put regen to low which means I do need to use brakes a bit when slowing down. This was two fold, one: I felt it gave me better control for keeping my safety score up (I...

You probably dropped a day 30 days ago that was a high score. The history only goes back 1 month. I had 1 collision warning a week or so ago, and the total was down to around 0.9. Not it's up to 1.1 because the first few days of my driving are now removed from the calculation and I had a couple...

Yeah, I agree. It works, but it's gotta be in the right state of mind and environment to not seem jittery. With regular autopilot and summon it was pretty easy to show people, but fsd is great to demo to people who understands how difficult it actually is to achieve autonomy. For the average...

I realized tonight that you can slide the fsd driving visualization over to occupy the full screen (hide the GPS map). Pretty cool ..but not sure if this was always here and I never noticed it before? It works even with on the highway in AP making it full screen. I do think the success of fsd...
