How do I escalate an Issue I have with Tesla's Service Team Damaging my Wheels

Most shops will have a company “refinish” wheels, likely will never replace with new. Cost is about $600 for 4 wheels, I had similar issue when Goodyear chipped paint in every rim during tire swap on one of my SUVs during first tire change.

    Third party damage

It is illegal for tesla to void warranty like that. It’s often posted on a sign in most repair shops. Tesla won’t have to warranty the dash trim after that, but rest of car will remain under warranty

Tesla mobile tech damaged 2015 S replacing charge port door

Yep…just keep complaining. You could always ask them to file an insurance claim on tesla service center (they have liability insurance….) or contact their insurance provider directly. Sounds reasonable based on scenario. Impact drills can snap a bolt if you don’t know what you are doing.

Service center damage, how to address?

Doubt that would even do anything and I don’t really tweet ;). Latham New York service center is the place, and they have consistently done some of the worst repair “attempts” I have seen in my 20 years of owning cars. They changed my bumper out twice at originally delivery, and Latham didn’t...

Service center damage, how to address?

Yes - I am having my own series of unfortunate events with Latham service. Had bugs in taillights glass, big ones. They replaced under warranty. In addition to changing taillights, they scratched, dinged, and dented fender without mentioning it. Took well over a month to get them to look at...

Venting from service issues with paint damage

To make matters worse - the replaced taillights under warranty already have bugs in them a few weeks later! Car is garage kept. Service says they are supposed to not be sealed, but never had a car before with this issue: any other model s refresh owners getting bugs inside of taillight glass...

Venting from service issues with paint damage

Around May, had both taillights replaced by tesla service on refresh model S in Latham NY service center. During taillight replacement, it looks like they dropped the assembly on the quarter panel causing a creased dent, two 1” long gouges in clear coat, and also chipped paint. Finally after...

Any 3rd part screen swivel kits for the Refresh S?

Local service thinks retrofits will be out soon, unsure if it will cost money or not yet.

Popping Noise - Front Wheel Area

I have the 19" OEM wheels (used for all season/winter use) and the 21" Summer Tires. Very minimal popping/cracking on the 19's, but when I switched over to the 21's last week the sounds are much worse. One attentive passenger was worried I hit something when backing out of a parking spot it...

    19" Pirelli Pzero Elect tires.

Its obnoxious when the Tesla Service advisors were clearly telling people they would get all seasons, then those customers must turn around and spend $1300 off the bat on new tires when it arrives without them. Even the Tesla center at Mt Kisco acknoloeged it makes no sense and they are going...

19" tires on Plaid and LR

Same issue here. They even refuse to talk to me about this issue. Ridiculous. Service advisor at delivery said they are just now shipping them with All Seasons, and he would get back to me ASAP. 2 months later, and no one at Tesla even cares to respond to service requests, emails, phone...

Vendor Refresh Model S LR/Plaid : Winter Tire Option

Whoops! I meant we got the Summer tires on the 19's, although Tesla assured me they would be All Seasons. At pickup, I was told they would get back to me regarding the issue. Its been months of talking into a blackhole trying to get anyone to even provide a response, even a denial they will...

Vendor Refresh Model S LR/Plaid : Winter Tire Option

Thanks for all the research in this thread, its been immensly helpful. After 3 service visits, tens of emails to tesla service (which have never once been replied to by my service advisors), and multiple other calls to Tesla - they all refuse to acknowledge their team told me I would get All...

2021+ Model S and Model S Plaid Refresh Issues Thread

Annoying issue - pushing on the different areas of center console and side of console, along with parts of dash result in loud 'squeaking' of the materials.
