Rpm Tesla carbon fiber look dash cover and door trim 2021+ model 3

I’m in Virginia and I do still have them. According to the rpm Tesla website they are for the 3 and Y but I can only vouch for the 3.

    FSD Beta Problems I've Experienced

Absolutely not worth $15k in my opinion. It is amazing tech and handles a lot of situations pretty well but it is nowhere near "go to sleep and arrive" or "send out a robotaxi"... I got it included on a used vehicle purchase, I would not have paid retail for it on a new car.

Used market has really taken a hit [All discussion of Model 3 Resale value]

It is pretty amazing how much the used prices have tanked. My 2018 P3D+ w/ FSD with 46k miles was totaled in June and I got $58k from insurance. I can get a used 2020 P3D+ w/FSD from Tesla right now for $45k with 30k miles and an additional year of warranty. What are you gonna do though? The...

What tires should I replace my OEM ones with?

Generally folks seem pretty happy with the OEM equivalent Pilot Sports based on everything I read on this forum... they also test well and have great reviews on tire rack. Seems like a solid option albeit an expensive one. I stayed with the stock size and got the Falken Azenis FK510. I like...

    Falken Azenis tires on M3P?

Loud can be subjective but I didn't notice them any more than stock performance tires... seemed fine to me.

    Falken Azenis tires on M3P?

I was happy with them for the 1000 miles I used them. I swapped over to my 18s for the winter in December though since they are very specific about not using them in temperatures below 40… probably put them back on in March or April.

    FSD Beta Problems I've Experienced

I just started playing with it again the last few weeks and overall I have been able to go a lot of places with minimal interventions (if any) but curves before stoplights do seem to be FSD's nemesis. I get all kinds of strange braking or decelerating behavior around those types of intersections...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

Yeah I get your point I think you just replied to the wrong post I was talking about something completely different in response to someone else. The OP's question was hashed out a long time ago. I agree that is a great term. Not at all obvious that this would be the best way to road trip in an...

Why do people always park next to me?

Last summer I parked in the back of the grocery store lot like I always do. No car within 10 stalls of mine. I come out and there is a station wagon next to me with a uhaul backed up to it and they are loading crap from the truck to the car. Meanwhile an old lady that is with them is letting...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

I disagree with this assessment, that is not the point I am making at all. You can drive 65 on the highway all day and it still isn’t practical to try and go 300 miles between chargers because it causes you to charge inefficiently. Charging speed is not constant as you fill up the battery so...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

I think the #1 thing people have a hard time with is realizing that usable range for an EV (in the practical sense) is maybe 70% of the advertised range. What the 300 mile range allows you to do is go about 200 miles between chargers then charge very efficiently before doing it again. Under no...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

Yes. This is not really common knowledge or I assume the lady wouldn’t have parked right next to me (there were plenty of open stalls at this particular spot). I mostly charge at home so these kinds of things are rarely issues. I just get frustrated when an “idealized” version of supercharging...

What other tech stock to consider?

Yeah it seems like you MRI the prostate, set the boundaries, and "press play" then the thing is pretty automated. That can be a good thing if it takes "user error" out of the equation I guess. The traditional HIFU ablation is more like going in and burning a bunch of little dots manually (like a...

What other tech stock to consider?

I have been invested in a company called Profound Medical (PROF) for a while now. Not sure if any of you have experience with, or have had family members deal with, prostate issues (cancer, enlargement, etc...) but they specialize in minimally invasive ultrasound based treatments as an...

Any mods to make the M3P faster?

Yes, which is exactly what he did and was able to put his order in this week finally. You can call it a $200k car if you want but that’s not what his P.O. says. I really don’t want to get bogged down on the minutia of purchasing and modding a C8 though it’s really not relevant to this thread and...

Any mods to make the M3P faster?

Without a doubt it is the most practical 11 second car I have ever seen. Great storage, seats 4 adults comfortably, quiet, smooth, cheap to operate and efficient. I bought one for a reason 😉.
  19. golfcart

Any mods to make the M3P faster?

Nah it was around $130k pretty similar to a plaid. Agreed that aftermarket modding is harder than it used to be but you can still do exhaust and other mods plus places like trifecta performance claim they can do “native” tunes on the C8. I’ll also be shocked if Hennessy doesn’t get access at...

Any mods to make the M3P faster?

This is why I have a love/hate relationship with the P3D. It is so good out of the box that it beats almost anything else you can buy, but there is also very little for you to do to the car that will make it perform better. When I was into modding WRX or SE-R Sentras there was always something...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

Yeah I guess lesson learned on that one. I assumed the website for the company that makes the cars and chargers would be at least ballpark. Doesn't change my overall assessment of winter road trips in my model 3 vs our PHEV but it is good to use accurate numbers to make comparisons. The model 3...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

Fair points. I would imagine that some of the difference in driving time is related to the distance from the highway to the supercharger but it does make you wonder. Just for kicks I went in my car and navigated to Disney World and got 13h 40m with 5 stops and just under 2 hours of total...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

I appreciate the info. I am aware of ABRP, from the forums, but have not used it since 95+% of my driving in my model 3 is local with home charging. The onboard route planning, in my experience, has been spot on when I go out of town so I tend to rely on it for longer trips (as I imagine most...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

It’s not ”my” 3 hours of charging, it is what the Tesla website says… i didn’t just pull it out of my ass 😂. The stops between the two are almost identical but the charging times differ significantly. Not sure why, but if I have to pick I’m gonna trust the website for the company that made the...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

That better route planner is fine but it cuts things a little close for my taste with the wife and kids in the car. I have no intention of running my battery down to ~10% consistently with my family with me. Plus you are once again assuming that all these supercharger are open and charging at...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

I really don't think that is what people are saying here. It is fine for long trips it is just a lot more cumbersome than a gas car for long trips, especially in the winter in states where it gets cold. Of course you, with a profile that says "Bay Area", see more Model 3 on road trips than...
  27. golfcart

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

Because you can fill up in 2 minutes at almost every exit in the interstate with gas. They also don’t recommend that you keep your gas car between 20% and 80% full. Hence people worry more about their EV range… I don’t find it irrational at all. My P3D- has a 300mi “range” but the usable range...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

12-14 hours of driving in the winter in an EV sounds miserable. You’ll probably have to stop every 3 hours to charge for 20-30m. I’d fly down there then rent a Tesla for a day if they want to check one out. It’s not like yours will be any faster/slower than the one you rent since you can’t...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

If you’ve got the time to take an extra stop or two I’m sure it’ll be fine. But let’s be honest, road tripping in an EV is a little bit of a headache still. That’s why my wife has an outlander PHEV that we take on longer trips it’s just easier. You don’t want to arrive on empty especially if...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

If I’m just driving casually around town I can get 220 wh/mi in my P3D- on the stock 18s. I get closer to 250 wh/mi around town when I swap to the 20s and performance summer tires. If you can keep it under 60 on the interstate I think 250wh/mi is doable on 20s also it’s just hard to go long...

Is it possible to get 250 miles on the interstate with a 2022 M3P?

I just don't see 250 miles happening on a 2022 P3D+ with 20" rims unless you are going under 55mph the entire way and are comfortable going from 100% to less than 10% on the battery. I just did a 175 mile run on a 60 degree day in my 2020 P3D- (18" aero wheels no covers) with no heat or AC...

Stock aero wheels on lowered P3D- and 15mm spacers

I am pretty much convinced now that the stock ride height and wheel tuck are primarily what makes the model 3 look a little clunky stock. I just switched back to my 18” aero wheels for the winter, which I had not had on the car since I lowered it, and the car looks really good IMO. Car is...

    Safety score is trash

Completely disagree, false FCW are not trivial to avoid in traffic or on (especially curvy) roads with parked cars. If it was trivial to avoid them I wouldn’t have started this thread and provided examples to the contrary.
  37. golfcart

    Safety score is trash

Curves in roads really do seem to be the Achilles heel of the Tesla FCW... it is a shame that so many people get false dings for this solely because of the type of road they live on rather than actual bad driving.

$3500 price difference for Model 3 Long Range AWD vs Performance. Which one should I go with?

LR is plenty fast but I would have regretted not getting another P3D after my old one got totaled by a stop sign running ass-clown. If you don’t mind used, Tesla has some low mileage stealth performance with FSD for sale in the $50-$55k range. Best of both worlds if you don’t want to track the...

Any regrets lowering/upgrading suspension on your M3P?

Zero regrets. I’m running MPP comfort non-adjustables lowered about 30mm from stock. Car looks great and rides great. Of course there is a cost to do this and you may void certain parts of your warranty so you need to consider that… but no regrets about how it rides or looks.
  40. golfcart

    Safety score is trash

I drive maybe 500 miles a month so it takes forever to kick those out and my typical route has a lot of cars parked on the side of the road which seems to give FCW the most trouble… especially on curves. I had an 84 score for a good bit longer than a month and have not yet received beta. I just...

    Safety score is trash

Yesterday it was a forward collision warning as I am coming around a curve to an intersection in the left turn lane. I never get within 30ft of the car in front of me that is yielding before turning left but the collision warning goes off anyways. I finally just turned off my FSD beta request...

    Golfcart’s 2020 P3D- Build

I’ve got about 6 weeks on this setup now and I absolutely love it. MPP comfort non-adjustable coilovers are the perfect balance of comfort, performance, and looks for a daily driver. No complaints from the wife either she says the car looks great and rides nicer than stock.

    Wouldn't Miles/Wh Make More Sense?

My old Nissan Leaf reported miles per kWh and I liked it. It seems more analogous to mpg which is what I’m used to and was easier to explain to people with gas cars how much I spent to go a certain distance. It’s pretty easy to convert though so I just do it in my head if I’m talking to someone...

    Safety score is trash

I got 4 forward collision warnings today because I was driving down a windy road that had cars parked along the side. It sees the cars on the side of the road and thinks I’m rapidly approaching a stopped car in traffic… but the car is parked and against the curb. Of course you get dinged pretty...

$39k Used Model 3's on Tesla Website

If the initial factory warranty has expired before your purchase (due to time or mileage) my understating is that you’ll get 1 year and 10k miles from your purchase date. Newer cars with lower miles will get you more warranty but you’ll at least get that minimum coverage with a used Tesla.

Pic of your Model 3.......RIGHT NOW! [model 3 pictures thread]

Not was I was hoping to see when I returned to the parking lot. I don’t think I have any damage but that was a hell of a random hail storm. We don’t get those too often around here especially in October.

$39k Used Model 3's on Tesla Website

It’s a year plus 10k miles in addition to whatever is remaining on the factory warranty. It basically makes it a 5 year 60k mile warranty from your in service date. I drive 5-6k miles a year so an extra 10k miles of warranty will last me a while plus at least I knew that Tesla inspected the...

$39k Used Model 3's on Tesla Website

Higher interest rates, a likely recession approaching, a potential tax rebate in January that could impact net cost, gas prices not being *AS* high as they were, and the fact that new inventory is catching up to demand are likely all factors leading to a drop in used Tesla prices IMO. We may not...
