FWIW Gigafactory Shanghai is currently producing them or at least a very similar version of it...rear wheel and shorter range. Australia, German, and China markets have them available to order.

We (in reality it was me) bought EAP when we took delivery of our 2nd Tesla (Model Y) in June 2022. It's my wife's car and she's not a fan of the FSD Beta in my Model 3 so there was really no point spending the extra 6K. Also, the Y is now the primary road trip vehicle so that's another reason...

Just to add this as a data point, I never received the car has left the factory text message. I was assigned a VIN and a few days later, I got a notification to schedule my delivery. It was like 10 days between getting a VIN and taking delivery. My delivery was at the end of June.

I agree on both. Since I can still get FSD for 10k and if enhanced autopilot 6k or more, then it might make sense to bite the bullet at 10k for fsd.
